“Came here because my husband and I were tired of Jersey Mike's lack of variety and they're much closer to our home in Colonia. Plus, we saw our people inside ordering so we knew it must be good. It was our first time and they acknowledged that by throwing in a free brownie to our order! Their subs were fresh, hot and delicious. My husband said it was the best chicken cutlet sub he ever had. I made the mistake of thinking their philly cheesesteak chipotle sauce was bland and not much kick like Jersey Mike's so I ordered it. Wrong as hell. That thang is spicy! Chipotle lived up to its name for sure here at Mr. Subs. I don't like spicy so that was my bad. That was only thing wrong with my sub. I loved everything else about it.“

“Tastee Sub Shop is a Central Jersey Institution. The sandwiches are prepared to order, fast and with a smile. I order the Super Sub and indeed it was just that. Generous portions and garnished very well. Also, it was nice to see that they had Wise's New York Deli chips and Linden's cookies. Overall great experience as always.“

“Love this place! It's an Edison favorite. I've been coming here for a few years and this place keeps that old school deli spirit alive while incorporating some modern twists.

They serve traditional sandwiches and even have some Indian-infused sandwiches like the Chicken Tikka Cheesesteak, which is an absolute banger! I've referred my friends to this place, one of whom is from PA, and he loves coming here every time he comes to Edison.

Jay, Parth and Raj always provide excellent customer service and treat you like family. You can never go wrong with a sub from Subworks. Make sure you support local businesses. Places like these add some joy to the community.“

“I’ve ordered from K&A Sandwiches several times, and every meal has been fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My go-to orders are the crunchy mozzarella sticks, the halal chicken and lamb over rice, and the chopped cheese—they never disappoint!

“It had been a little bit since we've been in (life gets in the way sometimes) but as soon as my husband & I walked in the door we were hit with that heavenly Blimpies scent of fresh ingredients that is indicative of Blimpies & Blimpies alone. It just smells like delicious subs. We realized, after speaking to the wonderful owner, that we've been getting the BEST subs in the world at this location for over 40 years! My pick is a "Blimpies Best" (extra oil & vinegar) honestly it was perfect. My husband gets a turkey & provolone which was terrific (he gave me puppy dog eyes & got a huge chunk of mine too)
Eateries come & go but the best stay, this is worthy of place in your rotation.
I should also say that I live in Nutley with quite a few Italian delis & pizzerias so if I'm saying the Italian sub (Blimpies Best) is terrific that's saying a lot.“

“First time here and new to the area. I had no wait time. Smoke turkey and provolone sub was perfection. Soft fresh roll and all the veggies and meat was freshly sliced. I asked for specific items and they made it exactly like I asked.

Now the guy working that day can use some people skills (greet people, smile, saying thank you) but he did make an amazing hoagie. Someone just please tell him it’s ok to smile at paying customers 😁

The establishment has street parking, wide sidewalks and easy to see awning. Inside needs some cleaning, paint and new tiles. Nothing much to look more welcoming but the food is amazing, still.

No inside dining or bathroom. Some seats while you wait.

I also love the clear glass to see your sandwich being made. That’s so classic!

Will be back because summer is definitely for nice chilled subs.

“I went to Just Subs to place an order for a gathering involving a large number of people. I had reviewed the menu and had come up with a figure of $300.00, which by my calculations would provide enough subs, salads and sides for all involved. Probably with some left over. Joe the owner and his employee Desire questioned me about the number of people I wished to serve, and at that point told me that I was ordering too much food! Upon Joe's advice, I ordered a menu which came to a final total of $215.00! Everything was delicious, and there was some left over, just as Joe supposed there would be. It was a nice, professional gesture on his part, and a good way to treat a customer.“

“I had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a Subway, and it’s entirely thanks to Kumar. From the moment I spoke to him, he greeted me with a genuineness and made me feel welcome. I’m a bit particular about how I like my sandwich made, and instead of rushing me or seeming annoyed, Kumar listened patiently to every single request and made sure he got it exactly right. He even offered a couple of suggestions for combinations I hadn’t thought of, and they turned out to be perfect. The sandwich itself was honestly the best one I’ve had.

Everything was fresh, the toppings were laid out evenly instead of all bunched in the middle, and it was toasted exactly the way I asked. You can tell Kumar actually takes pride in his work rather than just going through the motions. It’s a small thing, but the care he puts into each sandwich makes a real difference, and I noticed he was just as attentive with all the other customers in line. What also stood out was how clean and well-organized everything was behind the counter. Kumar kept the station tidy, changed his gloves without being asked, and handled the whole process with a level of attention to detail you don’t always see.

Even when a small line started forming, he never let the quality slip or seemed flustered, he just kept moving efficiently while still giving each person his full attention. That kind of consistency under pressure says a lot about someone’s work ethic. Kumar is the kind of employee any business would be lucky to have. He was kind, patient, professional, and genuinely friendly the entire time, even though the store was busy.
