“Gina made a custom music theme cake for my son’s first birthday, we communicated over email and phone , she even called me back one day to get some clarity on the execution, such attention to detail more than that I am still raving about the cake she made as much beautiful the cake looked , the taste I have to mention the moist cake she made , flavors the best , spongy , usually 2 tiered or 8/10 inches cakes are not moist , I live in Hoboken have ordered cakes from multiple places and never found cake this good , from now on Sweet & Flour would be my go to place“

“My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

The shop is a quiet, sunny place to spend an afternoon and the whole cake orders have never disappointed! I’ve gotten 3 birthday cakes from byClio (the first was off Instagram, before they even had a shop) and always look forward to the next year. So happy to see this business thriving. “Unregular Bakery was hands down the best bakery experience we had in NYC. The pastry display looks absolutely insane, and everything tastes just as good as it looks. We tried the croissant pudding, the K Bueno, and a cappuccino — all were amazing. The employee recommended we warm up the croissant pudding, and even did it for us — it was exactly what I had been craving after so many disappointing bakery visits in NYC. On top of that, he was super friendly, and you can really see how passionate he is about the bakery and pastries. We’d 100% come back to try all the other goodies.“

The outer layer of the pineapple bun is super buttery and crispy and the the bun itself is soft and fluffy. The pork inside is tender and was sweeter than I expected but it pairs so well with the little saltiness on the pineapple bun crust.

Kam Hing Coffee Shop is truly a hidden hole-in-the-wall treasure! We stopped by and were blown away by their incredible sponge cakes – we tried the coconut and strawberry flavors, and both were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious.

What made the experience even better was the staff. They went out of their way to modify our teas since we’re lactose intolerant, and the result was perfect – flavorful, refreshing, and just right.

The sandwich itself was epic. It was huge, with a runny sunny-side egg that made it feel dramatic and so satisfying. “Interior/outside terrace: the interior is very functional, very few inside seating options. But it’s not like a comfy café. They do have a small outside seating area, which is nice, nothing special, but if you get a table there, you can enjoy your croissants in the sun.

Food quality/price: good selection of savoury & sweet food, very delicious. I got an earl grey bun & a pistachio croissant. Both very delicious, like out of another world. Loved them. I found their food to be quite expensive.
Suggestion: why not making tiny versions of the different treats (to a smaller price as well of course), so solo-visitors can try more delicious treats?

“I’ve been meaning to try this bakery for a while now and finally got to try today with my husband. The breads were delicious, soft and chewy and fillings were not too sweet. We tried the hot chocolate with oat milk as well and it was smooth and not too sweet which was just perfect! Service was very friendly and efficient. Loved the small sitting area towards the back side of bakery where you can enjoy some leisure time while enjoying delicious bread and your drink“
