“Delicious Diner.

Exactly what you expect when you picture a diner. No frills, cheap, and exceptionally average food. It gets the job done, with the kind of gritty atmosphere you’d expect from a place that’s been serving neighborhood regulars for years.

I had the cheeseburger, while the person next to me was chowing down on chicken parm and spaghetti. The cheeseburger tasted like it came straight out of the freezer. It reminded me of the kind I used to get at the bowling alley as a kid.

10/10 recommend. Will return.“

“I really enjoyed this place. It has some retro charm. It even had a Photos booth and the food was good. The desserts were amazing. Largest milkshake I’ve ever seen in person and the staff was really nice and friendly and Alfredo the manager was really good guy.“

I literally turned to my husband and told him “this is the kinda service I like” thoughtful friendly warm bartenders who spark convo, and answer every question. Such a good atmosphere and good music. Every song I was like…. Omg…. Love that song. I didn’t know what to expect, I try to avoid spots with bars or interiors that are overly beautiful when I’m hangry lol. I find the food usually doesn’t hit, since some places typically focus more on drinks, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The food was so thoughtfully made. I had the best BLT, small details in prep, like perfectly shredded lettuce and sliced tomato’s really can make or break a sandwich. My husband loved his burger and the fries were so crispy and good. Typical city prices, and the atmosphere makes you wanna stay awhile so it’s worth it to me. Beautiful during the day but next time im gonna come later in the day I can enjoy the deep rich atmosphere they carefully curated. So so beautiful.“

“directly around the corner of hotel 17, joe jr is not a hot spot or insta worthy eatery. it is jus a regular diner for everyone. diverse menu, affordable prices and a quality you’d miss at a regular fast food stop. you dont have to rush or push to get what you want.
if you wanna feel the true spirit of eating out in nyc.
dont stress yourself, ny has a lot to offer, and not everything that yells for attention is worth the effort, otherwise you d miss out on true nyc institutions.“

“I didn’t expect a full blown broadway show experience in a restaurant! If you want show tunes and pop music served with a plate of great food then this is the place for you! Our server Brandi M. belted out a wicked version of The wizard and I! I ordered the BLT with avocado and waffle fries and my friend ordered the chicken and waffles. Both were delicious.“

The ambiance of the place is perfect, with every detail thought through and music perfect to have as background noise. Loved it!“

I was dining solo, so grabbed a seat at the counter and ordered the three-stack blueberry pancakes with coffee. The pancakes looked fantastic and tasted even better, the blueberries are baked right into them, although I wouldn’t have complained about a little more blueberry sauce on top.

It was busy and lively, but the staff were friendly and the whole experience had that classic diner charm.“

I usually come during lunchtime and have always had a great experience but I went in tonight for dinner for the first time, it was the most unnecessarily rude service I've ever experienced in my life/20 years in hospitality. Bar manager seems really unhappy, which seemed to make it unpleasant for everyone within earshot- guests and co-workers.“

There is some outside seating (limited). The menu is pretty extensive and something for everyone. The service was quick! recommend 100%“

But the best thing about it is the owner - he greets everyone warmly and gets to know you. You’ll walk in a stranger but you’ll walk out feeling like family. You can always count on Mr John to lift your spirits. We’ve only lived in the city for a month but this is already one of our regular spots.“

“Please make your next night out at Crispin's. I came here on a Friday night on a fluke because it was raining and got sangria to pass the storm. It quickly turned into wine, free bread, and the best pappardelle bolognese I've had (and priced so well at $18 for fresh pasta). “We love Colonial Diner and have been going there for years. They have the best food and best staff, along with an amazing atmosphere. My three year old asks to go there for practically every meal and we are always greeted like family when we walk through the door. This is the best diner I’ve ever been to. “The menu looks great the write up about the food is promising. The problem I see is with your training of your staff. That falls on the management. The management is setting up their employees to fail. Train your staff, hold yourself accountable, you as a manager is to train your staff, to your standards and expectations. If you have staff members who will not or cannot meet your expectations of doing the job, if they cannot or will not follow instructions, you need to terminate them that includes family members. It sounds harsh, I know jobs are hard to get in the Philippines. That is more of a reason to train your employees to do the job to their best.“

“Stopped by Tria Bakery Cafe Diner while waiting out a 2-hour wait at Golden Diner. We were starving and didn’t want to stand around in the cold, and this place ended up being the perfect move. It’s only about a 6-minute walk from Golden Diner, and we were able to sit down, stay warm, and enjoy good food and coffee while we waited. Unfortunately the jerk chicken fell short for me. It was very dry. I also ordered a margarita that was quite sour and unbalanced.
