“This place is very dangerous and way too close to home. I've been there three or four times already and I have to say everything I've gotten has been absolutely amazing. The crab cakes, the stuffed shrimp, the fried oysters, the potato salad the garlic mashed potatoes marinated mushrooms. A little bit pricey but worth every penny“

“Just got back from Kunkel’s for a double wedding anniversary celebration of ours and our son’s. It was a very enjoyable evening with excellent food and excellent service. Our two granddaughters came with us, and they instantly settled comfortably, thanks for the personal care tended by Denise, our server. We love this place for its unhurried atmosphere and for its timeless Americana ambience.“

He gave us just the right amount of attention and was very pleasant. Sometimes we feel either rushed or ignored but he made sure we were taken care at our pace. It was a great experience.“

“My daughter and I have been wanting to try the soup flight for a while. Today was the day! We both had the daily lunch soup flight special. We both ordered corned beef sandwiches which were delicious and came with fries, coleslaw, pickle, and the soup flight. For the soup choices I got the cream of potato, split pea, and vegetable beef. My daughter got cream of potato, tomato orzo, and vegetable beef. They were all so good! We can’t wait to go again! Looking forward to coming for dinner and trying the salad bar which also looked delicious. Very friendly service as well!“

“Ambiance and service was great. Very friendly host that shared her favorite dishes. Dining room was cozy and inviting. Friendly service and great, made-in-house desserts. Entrees were pretty good. Carrot sauce was unexpectedly delicious, but didn’t love the lobster raviolis. Linguine and clams were very flavorful. Each clam was larger than a quarter but they were hard to chew. Everything else was great and partner had no complaints. They even gave us complimentary limoncello because it was our first time. I would rate them 4 1/2 stars but it’s not an option.“

“Giumarello’s Restaurant was delicious! The martinis were great. Appetizers: crab stack with mango salsa and avocado or saffron mussels with shrimp, Yumo! Entrees: Miso glazed sea bass or filet with stuffed lobster tail both Devine! Dessert: Chocolate heaven flourless cake and salted carmel creme brulee were heavenly 😋 Our waiter Griffin was wonderful and very knowledgeable, especially since we needed gluten free options. Highly recommend and will be going back!!“

There was a plate of small desserts ( 1”square pieces of cake, 2 “ eclairs, a chocolate covered strawberry, and a tiny cannoli. There were not even enough for everyone to take one! When I asked for more the waitress said I should go to another table and see if they had anything! 😡😳 Definitely not worth $10 a person! RIPOFF!“

“Got take out through GrubHub, 25 piece with biscuits and fries. This might now be our favorite store bought fried chicken. Crispy and crunchy for sure with a little spice to it, not too much. Honey butter biscuits are pretty good warm and the fries aren’t bad either, a little thicker cut and seasoned. Better still, you can get a lot of food for your money. In the mood for comfort food fried chicken? Give them a shot.“

“We came here with friends to have dim sum before noontime. It’s a Monday, so not many customers here at this time. Guess weekends are crowded as it’s steps away from an Asian supermarket.

We ordered several items of dim sum, all tasted quite authentic and delicious. Waiters were very polite and tentative.

“Been living in SJ for 10+ years and this is still my go to Chinese takeout and dine in. The comments here are so mean and after reviewing some recent ones… well Covid have happened it doesn’t help that the country itself is filled with mostly ungrateful Americans. The food is still good, there has been some changes but I never had problems with this place. Probably because I am also respectful and you receive what you give I guess. The place can use some upgrades and upkeeping but before you hurt a business, ensure you reflect how you are treating workers. It is hard out here and businesses themselves are just trying to thrive and make it back from Covid years.

“So it looks like my favorite Chinese store has new owners😔, they did not disappoint! I got beef and broccoli with fried rice. It was very flavorful, very tender, and very soft. I got my son some wings that I didn’t take a picture of, my bad lol they were still good as before!“
