“This spot is BYOB. I thought that may be important to mention, although I always do takeout. I've had their teriyaki tofu and teriyaki chicken dinner bento box along with plenty of their sushi rolls and the food is always so rich and fresh. Their Godzilla sushi roll is very yummy as well. When I pick up my food, it is always ready to go and I never have had to wait. Highly recommend.“

“Needed a sushi fix today and I’m glad I chose this place they literally had everything I wanted to settle my craving. I ended up getting their lunch special which you could get two rolls off a smaller menu for about $13, which also came with me so soup. I also ended up grabbing one of their specialty rolls which I will admit is a little on the pricier side… $18 a roll but the flavor and size of the roll did not disappoint. I’m obsessed with crispy rice tuna and the fact that they had it on their menu really pushed me to give this place five stars. Five solid pieces of crispy rice spicy tuna and a large chunk of avocado on top, drizzled with some spicy mayo and eel sauce… Chefs kiss. If I’m in the area I’ll definitely be returning for round two there’s a few more specialty rolls I’d like to try. They’ve got plenty of other options if sushi isn’t your thing from rice bowls to fried rice and array of appetizers and one of my favorite options Ramen. If you got a hankering for some sushi I highly suggest taking a stop in and giving it a try… I don’t think it will be disappointed in the slightest?“

“A nice little gem tucked away in the APA hotel. If you have a craving for Japanese food, this spot is it. (They had Fried Aji on their daily special the day I went ) I got their Salmon Ikura Don, Botan Ebi and Otoro a la carte, and their Black Sesame Panna Cotta. Food was pretty good, better than any Japanese restaurant in the main Edison area, but there are some little things to nitpick at. Some of the salmon was still slightly frozen (I went during lunch on a Tuesday), and I didn't realize some of the salmon would be slightly grilled. Thought it'd be all sashimi but that's my fault for not asking. I do wish that the veggies in the don came as a side salad instead of in the don itself. I feel like the veggies messed up the Salmon Ikura flavor profile a bit. The a la carte sushi were great! So delicious, but the Botan shrimp head came way after the botan shrimp body. Maybe their kitchen was busy, it's not really a big deal for me but I can imagine it might not be ideal for other customers. The Black Sesame Panna Cotta was not too sweet but I do wish the black sesame profile was a little bit stronger. Again, just me being nitpicky, I would definitely order it again! I will have to go back to try more of their menu items because they do have a wide selection of stuff I haven't seen elsewhere in Edison. Their service was impeccable. “Visited for lunch and just as good as I remembered. Had to get the Spring Breeze roll - love this combination and have never seen it anywhere else. The lunch box is a great deal too at around 14 bucks. The also have a lunch special where you can pick 2-3 regular rolls with soup and salad. We were able to find street parking out front but if you can't remember there is a public lot nearby.“

I've had sushi from a lot of other AYCE, all you can eat, sushi places and I think this one is the best in terms of quality and variety. It's about $30 per person.The fish here tastes fresh and NOT watered down like other places I've been to. The miso soup always tastes good and fresh, it doesn't taste artificial and sweet like other places.The special rolls are a little questionable, there are a lot of special rolls that aren't my type and extremely filling but I like the sashimi and regular rolls. I love the salmon from here, so I always get salmon sashimi and Alaska rolls.They also have other foods available in their AYCE like shumai, sesame chicken, lo mein, and calamari, takoyaki, etc. Most of their non-sushi items are good too.ONE THING TO NOTE, if you come here with a party of 5 or more, you will be charged a 15% service fee. Coming here with 4 people or less is worth it when they all eat their money's worth.“

The outside doesn’t do the inside justice, very nicely organized and clean establishment with beautiful inside decor.We were seated immediately and our server was very friendly and took care of us a party of 4.I ordered the yakitori as a starter , it was delicious and tasty, perfectly grilled. They had the usual AYCE sushi restaurant items- various sushi rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, hot appetizers, small plate dishes, and desserts. We placed our order of a few of the hot and cold apps and sushi and sashimi. And gave our completed order forms to the waiter. We loved the variety of the hot apps and omg they were all so good. The seafood medley was my favorite and it was served on a clam shell. Nice presentation. The crab rangoons were amazing with the Thai chili dipping sauce. The sushi was served altogether on a big platter. All were made to order and was so fresh. So delicious! Overall we enjoyed our meal and the food was great. The only downside, if you can call it that, is that Chris Michael's is not a restaurant to visit if you are trying to manage costs. Appetizers ranged from $12-$30 and entrees ranged from $26-$78+. While the sushi wasn't mind-blowing, it was definitely satisfying. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the fish tasted fresh; however, I did find a few pieces where the fish-to-rice ratio could have been better.
