Great portions and very flavorful. Only negative was with amount of rice offered. Two small containers. I had inquired if basmati rice was included. If had had known the portion was going to be that small I was going to order more rice. Other indian restaurants Ive gone too weren't stingy. Overall, fantastic place. Great flavors. “First timer . I was in the area and was craving for a chai in the evening.. Google suggested this place.. I’ve been to other shops next to Kati rolls but never seen this shop . Wish they have a better name board on the outside . I couldn’t see their name in striking colors and could easily miss this while driving.. parking is good.. interiors is also good except that it’s too noisy.. himanshu was awesome . Helped with quick service and always smiled . Pricing wise they are ok.. not too expensive not too cheap kinda .

Got their elachi tea and I should say - it was awesome. It looked light brown in color and I thought there’s more milk and less tea.. but the flavor was very, very good.. regular chai was also good.. They gave me a chai for. 0.99 cents ! No other store has that price .

Kati roll was disappointing though. The guy there suggested achari paneer Kati roll and I thought it would be spicy and with nice flavors but it was bland and the paneer wasn’t cooked much: it was slightly hard and I couldn’t taste achaar taste. Pav bhaji with Anil butter was good though. Loved the flavor and aroma on that one .

Besttttt was rose paan .. oh my god . Never had a pan that tasty anywhere in Edison Nj. Very very good taste . I’ll always go there for paan , from now on . Good experience overall . 4 stars .“

“We recently got catering from Mauli for our Ganesh Puja celebrations and the food was awesome! We ordered Kothambir Wadi, Misal and Masale Bhat, and everything was delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful and had that authentic Maharashtrian taste that is sometimes hard to find. Our guests really enjoyed it and several people asked us where we had ordered the food from. We’ve also been to the restaurant and have tried their Vada Pav and Zhunka Bhakar, Pav Bhaji and they were really good too.

It’s so nice to have a good Maharashtrian restaurant nearby where we can get authentic food and enjoy some of the dishes we grew up eating. “Had a wonderful dining experience at Thanjai Mess – Authentic South Indian Restaurant. The food was flavorful, fresh, and truly captured the taste of traditional South Indian cuisine.

We tried the Kola Urundai, which was absolutely authentic and delicious. The Mutton Thalappakatti Biryani and Ambur Chicken Biryani were both flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Chicken Lollipop was juicy, saucy, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Vanjaram (King Fish) Fry, which was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and very tasty.

A special mention to the service from Mr Reddy, which was really good and made the overall experience even more pleasant.

Recently i ordered through uber eats - they had a buy one get one free promo on the chicken tikka. I also got a few orders of garlic naan. The chicken tikka with rice was good - moist chicken, good flavor and not too spicy. However the garlic naan was disappointing - it was a tad bit salty but mostly the bread was flat and dense - it should be a little more fluffy with a nice chew. Hope they read this and improve it - would give it another try.“
