“We had our small wedding at Andre's this past weekend, and I am still in awe of how fantastic the event was. Tracey is an all-star. From coordinating calls, decorating our table, marrying us, to keeping us on schedule. Andre had our whole group raving about how great the food was. From the appetizers to the cake, we really couldn't have asked for better. On top of it all, the location is STUNNING! The staff helping to serve us were so friendly and pleasant and together they all helped make sure our wedding day was the best day of our life. “Last night I had the rare privilege of dining at Applebee’s, where a true artist of the kitchen elevated the Southwest Chicken Bowl and boneless wings into something that would make the entire Michelin Guide weep with envy.
The Southwest Chicken Bowl arrived like a carefully composed canvas. Each grain of rice had clearly been individually selected and toasted to the precise degree of caramelization. The chicken — impossibly tender, seasoned with a depth that suggested hours of careful reduction — rested atop a foundation of beans and corn that somehow managed to taste both rustic and refined. The pico de gallo was a bright, acidic counterpoint, cut with the confidence of a chef who has spent years perfecting the perfect dice. Even the cheese felt intentional, melted just enough to bind the dish without ever overwhelming it. One bite and I understood: this was not merely a bowl. This was a statement.
Then came the boneless wings. Crisped to an ethereal golden shell that shattered with a whisper, revealing meat so succulent it could only have been the result of a multi-day brining process known only to a handful of living masters. The sauce clung with elegant restraint — neither too sweet nor too aggressive — coating each piece in a lacquer of pure intention. “We celebrated a milestone birthday in the dining area next to the terrace with delicious food and great service. The bar had a large selection of beer, wine had a dozen options, plus mixed drinks. The staff let me taste a couple beers before I chose one to go with my calamari appetizer which was very large and well prepared. I do think the standout appetizer was the tuna which had an amazing citrus flavor. For my main I had the sea bass while most of the others had streaks. I thought it was delicious and the rice delicious. Maybe a tad too much butter for me, but no complaints. I skipped desert but the chocolate cake and apple tarts looked amazing. Service was top notch, my water glass was consistently filled and the staff present but not too much so. A great late afternoon dining experience.“

“Stopped by Tranquility General Store after a hike, and it truly felt like enjoying a great meal in a small, rural American town.

I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich along with a crumb cake, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was easily one of the top five breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had… perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. The crumb cake was the ideal sweet follow-up, soft and not overly sugary.

👥 Service:
The guys working there were really nice and welcoming, giving off that genuine small-town friendliness. Service was quick, casual, and made the experience even more enjoyable.

The shop has a rustic, intimate charm with a few cozy seats in the back. It’s a simple but comfortable space that fits perfectly with the laid-back countryside vibe.“

“To be fair, my rating is over 4. It's more like a 4.6 since 1 of us 6 mentioned a slight negative about the flavor of her chicken. And our per person cost was about $50. I expected that, but that's okay. The sights outside were very nice. The grandchildren enjoyed themselves which is a plus. If you have a boat, you can actually dock it at the Windlass and order a meal. They also have several cabana looking coverings along the dock which can be reserved so you can enjoy your meal there. My wife noticed that the seating can glide forward and back.“

“Just used cafe Pierrot to cater a sprinkle I was hosting. Everything was amazing! Placing the order was extremely easy- I sent an email and someone called me right away and quickly responded to any email questions I had. Everyone enjoyed the food and LOVED the cupcakes. Was able to pay in advance online so all I had to do was send someone for pick up the day of the party and everything was ready right away I think food is one of the hardest parts of planning a party. Never know what to get or how much. Being able to simply give them a number of guests and all I had to do was decide which type of salad I wanted, made this part of the party so simple and stress free! Love the one stop shopping aspect where I could get my food, sides, and even cupcakes all from one place. The spread they provide is the perfect mix and they provide the perfect amount, for an awesome price! Definitely recommend using them!!!“

“Hidden gem that we’ve driven past numerous times without even realizing. Today we tried it and WOW. I had the chipotle ranch smash burger and it was out of this world. We also had a French dip which was excellent, as was the chicken rice bowl. We will definitely be back!“

“Haven’t been to any Fuddruckers in years since they closed in Wayne,NJ. Was amazed to see a location still open. They have a large game room for the kids. One upsetting thing they didn’t have fresh bakery like other locations. Food was hot and fresh. Plus unlimited fries . Was well worth it.“

“Came for dinner with another couple. The tapas eggplant was delicious, light and flavorful. Just lovely. We had two burgers and two steaks. All delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful, however, there is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant. Which normally would not be an issue but this evening four young women were “working” the older men sitting at the bar. It became clear as the evening progressed that this was going on. None of us could believe what was happening right next to our table!! As the targeted men left the bar the young women quickly moved on to their next victims. It was all very obvious and pretty repulsive. Such a shame to have this type of thing happening in a lovely restaurant. I would hope management will be alerted by the bartenders that their establishment has become prey for this type of behavior. Quite unsettling.“

In today's world, where one struggles, especially if old like we are, to speak to a live human being, when you are able to converse with a person who is actually listening to what you said, this is rare. Add to that delicious fresh food and you have a winner. Tonight we had fresh large shrimps with a most delicious home made cocktail sauce. Fresh crab cakes with a fabulous remoulade, and a chocolate mousse to die for as dessert. We ordered too much and have to save some for tomorrow. We live in town, and are happy to see the names of so many out of town visitors appreciate Chesapeake Tavern.“

They did not disappoint. The general manager, Alexis was a pleasure to work with, and was helpful with menu choices, and whatever additional asks I had. (A table area for a display, AV hook-up for a slide presentation, and complimentary drink “coupons” for my guests. The entire staff (including the kitchen) was friendly, and determined to make this a fun (and delicious) event. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I give them 5 stars 🌟 out of 5.“

“Wow! Used Stella G’s as my wedding caterer, and was absolutely blown away. The food was AMAZING. We were nervous about how the food would be but my husband and I were shocked by how delicious it was and the guests kept complimenting it was as well. The restaurant is family run and the owners did everything to make sure it was a hit. From initial emails, phone calls, questions, and menu selection they went above and beyond. I can’t stress enough how each bite of food we had was better than the last. They out did themselves on taste, presentation, professionalism, and courtesy. “We originally tried to go to Windlass, but the next available table was 5 hours later 😳 — absolutely ridiculous, especially with a family and kids. Thank God I called Jefferson! Restaurant!

Overall, we had a nice family visit. The food was okay, although our order took a while and came out wrong. Our waiter was a good guy and genuinely tried to help, which I appreciated.

The mushrooms with melted cheese were good. I wouldn’t recommend the beef, and the salad could use more olive oil. My biggest recommendation for Jefferson would be to get the food out faster and make sure orders are correct.

That said, I actually enjoyed our experience more than I think I would have at Windlass. Jefferson is a great place for a family trip — beautiful views, fresh air, and plenty for the kids to enjoy. 🦆 Ask about feeding the ducks!
