“Seafood Birthday Bash!

Went to this restaurant for my uncles birthday. He doesn’t eat chicken or steak so seafood is his favorite. Caldwell Seafood Market & Cafe was an obvious choice because of the pictures and the fact it was a fresh seafood market just stood out to me. It did not disappoint either! We were a group of 10 people and ordered everything our heart desired and spent $579. We ordered 3 orders of fried calamari which was nice and crispy and they even had a ginger sauce which is different. We tried the hot and spicy shrimp which had a great sauce to dip the complementary bread in. We ordered 5 bowls of New England clam chowder. I felt it was watery and not as seasoned as I am used to but we enjoyed it anyway. They forgot a bowl of soup but we won’t hold it against them. We all ordered entrees and most of us got a dessert! We left full and satisfied!

Knowing my family we love to eat and we are all reviewers at heart and are not afraid to say what we do not like. Everyone loved their food from the appetizers to the dessert and we were surprised at how fast the food came and how fresh it was. The waiter was very attentive as well. We didn’t need a reservation when we came in at 3pm and were the only ones there. Surprising it was not packed for a Saturday afternoon but started to fill up as we left.

Overall this restaurant gets a 5/5 because the experience was great, the waiter was very nice and accommodating, the food was piping hot and everyone was pleased even the kids who aren’t really seafood fans.

“ALWAYS delicious - I try to stop here whenever I am in the Cranford area. I’ve been a fan of this Jersey Shore style seafood joint for a couple decades. Fresh, perfectly prepared dishes that always allow the seafood to shine. Fried or broiled flounder and any kind of shrimp are a personal favorite. I always judge a restaurant by it’s side salad and here it’s never an afterthought, fresh and so tasty - they should bottle their house dressing it’s off the chart.“

“Went for a seafood boil and food was good the flavors were good. The only problem was the girl at the front. She's frumpy looking. Acted like I was bothering her when I wanted to pay. She's so relaxed and it's not a good look to paying customers. She never came back to check on us. She just had a whatever attitude.“

The festival were hot and freshly made. This was an 11/10 because it was all fresh and hot. Likklle Helshire Restaurant, 👏🏿👏🏿. “We are in the part of the restaurant called “the library,” which was a small room off to the left. Thankfully it wasn't busy or it could have been a bit tight. But the food was out of this world. Again! Although the creamed spinach seemed to have a funny taste, which was immediately replaced with another side when I said something. Service was good, but drinks were a little slow from the bar. The prix fixe of $55 was an amazing value. We both had the chicken breast and it was fantastic.“

“I am a big sticker for fried food not being greasy and this was the first time I have ever been to this restaurant. The chicken came out HOT which is extremely important and had just the right seasoning. When I didn't see greasy chicken or the paper inside greasy I tried one and before I knew it I had eaten five wings waiting for the rest of my food. And I bought 12 pieces to take home and share. Also try the bean pie OMG I literally ate the entire thing. I purchased the small one. I don't usually eat the crust but it was so delicious.“

She was pleasant, tentative, respectful, friendly, polite and patient! My wife and I definitely appreciated the service she provided us! My only issue was the fact that open table has an option for you to put what your occasion is and the restaurant didn't honor it. However after speaking to the manager he did accommodate us in someway for the inconvenience. ! I would definitely come back here as it was a great experience overall!!! Great ambience! “I'm here visiting a friend and decided to stop here for lunch. This place was phenomenal. The service was great and the food was delicious. Sorry I font have a Pic of my wings, I couldn't wait to dig in. They had the right amount of sauce, were nice and hot, meaty and juicy. The pretzel was good too. Not sure what one of those sauces was but I didnt like it, the mustard was good though. Now these potstickers....OMG. you have got to try them, they were flavorful and the Thai chili sauce was perfect. I was afraid it was going to have some spice to it, too old for that kinda heartburn(lol), but it wasn't spicy it was just good. So if you're in the neighborhood stop by and have some great food...think I'll have dinner here tomorrow.“

They had a little birthday sign on the table, the server brought out a little champagne for a birthday toast (and a flute with ginger ale for me), and the dessert came out on a Happy Birthday plate with a candle.
