“My friend was shocked that I’m giving 4 stars after I complained to him.But although my jaws indeed were sore after chewing through a full portion of poppers, and the blooming onion sauce did not taste match my memories of youth, how could I possibly give less than 4 stars to a restaurant that I’d die for as a teenager?“

I was expecting a place where you order at the counter and that is the end of the interaction with staff, but they came to our table multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was awesome and you get so much for the price. I ordered the BBQ wings and my bf ordered the picanha steak and they were both great. Definitely recommend.“

“I was exploring BBQ places in NYC and this spot ended up being my favorite. I arrived a bit late at night so the meat had been cooked earlier, but it was still incredibly soft and literally came right off the bone. The taste was amazing and the texture was perfect. The quality alone made me give it a full five stars. I keep thinking if I went earlier in the day it would have been even fresher. The portions were huge and the whole meal was very satisfying. Definitely planning to go again.“

I ordered the family pack of chicken tenders, a side of Mac and eese, and a strawberry lemonade which was so refreshing. While my mom ordered the chicken and waffles and they were delicious too.“

“Small place ran by a lovely couple with all the signature classic Romanian dishes! This place is a complete hidden gem! The eggplant salad starter is just like my grandmother and mother make, the meats are excellent - portion sizes are huge and everything tastes like a solid Romanian place on my visits to Romania. The star today was the Papanasi - a classic Romanian cheese donut! One of the best I had ever! Highly recommended! Will definitely come again!“

“Great spot for pork kbbq in the city! We came in Monday night with a reservation for three and got the tasting menu with a bottle of the chestnut makgeolli (which was delicious). The tasting menu was great value and I appreciated that the servers helped to cook, though they weren’t the most attentive. (For instance, we had to ask for a bib as well as refills for water and lettuce.) Meanwhile, the pork was great - especially the dry aged versions - as were the egg soufflé and kimchi soup. Also, special mention to having wasabi on the plate as a dipping option! Would definitely stop in again.“

“This is hands down the best charcoal-style Chinese BBQ skewer spot in the U.S.! We’ve been multiple times and it never disappoints. The meats are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the service is consistently excellent.

Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s a small inconvenience for such an amazing dining experience—it doesn’t affect my five-star rating at all. Truly a hidden gem. Highly recommend!“

“I absolutely love Anytime Kitchen in Fort Lee! From the vibe to the service and, of course, the food—it’s all excellent.
I’ve tried several dishes here: Uni Buckwheat Noodles, Old-Fashioned Fried Chicken, Clam sujebi (수제비) , Spicy Seafood Stew, Beef Tartare, and Sweet Potato Fries. The Uni Buckwheat Noodles taste luxurious—perfect if you want a refreshing, pasta-like dish. The Old-Fashioned Fried Chicken takes a little time to cook, but it’s totally worth the wait—they even cut it for you! The Handmade Dumpling Soup is so 얼큰 and flavorful you might find yourself reaching for a whole bottle of soju, and their soups always come in very generous portions. The Spicy Seafood Stew is huge and packed with fresh seafood—it’s definitely worth the price. Sweet potatoe fries and beef tartare is a good option for side dishes. We got a service I think the name was seafood avocado but that was def would be a great side dish when drinking wine.
The service is excellent too. I dropped my fork once, and someone immediately brought me a new one—attentive service like that really makes a difference.
The vibe of the restaurant strikes a perfect balance between elegance and casual comfort. It’s great for a casual date, a team outing, or just a relaxed night out.
I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Anytime Kitchen to my friends. This place is a hidden gem that hits all the right notes!

“I’m something of a BBQ critic having grown up in the South and lived there for 40 or so years and I’ve had some bad pork experiences in NYC. So much so that I’ve told my friends, “NYC does every type of cuisine well EXCEPT BBQ” I respectfully retract that statement after having AU Jus’ SUPERB pulled pork sandwich this evening. I’m going to have to join a 12 step program to stop myself from eating it every day. So good it’ll make your tongue slap your brains out.“

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the host and the staff. Our server, Ana, was amazing — so attentive, mindful, and friendly throughout our meal. “I just wanted to clarify myself to the worker in that restaurant especially the one in the front. We went at the restaurant today around 2pm. We went inside the restaurant and did not talk right away to let them know we were 2 customers, instead I stopped for a second and checked if we went to the right door. The worker in the front thought that we went in there to look for a guy and be with guy and do something. I just wanted to let that worker in the front know that we went there to eat and not to look for a guy. When we finished eating, that worker in the front got replaced with a young guy. I just don’t want the worker in there to think that we went there to look for a guy. We love to go to the church. Now a days, it is very important to do the right thing. We have a song in the church “choose the right.” Don’t judge the people by just physical appearance.
But other than that, the food was delicious. I highly recommend the restaurant.“
