“I went to Tozton today to celebrate my birthday after seeing an ad on Tiktok and it was definitely a great decision.

The food was delicious, the sautéed loin, the green noodles, the pavilion, the ground beef cakes and the shredded meat cakes. Natural juices, drinks like margaritas and mojitos; on point, ten out of ten.

The attention of all the waitresses was excellent, they even decorated my table with balloons. Thank you Emily and Natalia for your impeccable service.

It was also easy to find parking near the restaurant. It is very spacious and tables can be organized for large birthday celebrations.

Totally recommended in Astoria.“

“I had a great experience at Cañave restaurant! My server, Robersy, was fantastic and recommended a few beers I hadn’t tried before, they were all spot on! She really knew her stuff and made the experience even better. The live music gave the place a fun and lively atmosphere, and the lighting made everything feel warm and welcoming. “The overall experience was just okay. The food was good but the service could have been better. The lady was very disengaged and got our order wrong. The atmosphere was nice and I’m not going to knock the fact that it was a small space. They made good use of the space but I wish they had slightly larger tables for the size of plates that they bring out. The music was at a good volume since I could still carry conversations, which was nice.

I didn’t mind the wait for the food and again it was fine for the price point.

I would recommend and probably go again but for different reasons.“

“This place is deceptively bigger than expected. Decorated nicely with a good amount of simplicity. For eight of us, we got the Peruvian combo and full Jalea platter. It definitely fed all of us with some left over. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit dry and under seasoned and there wasn't any fish with the Jalea platter. Our server was a bit pushy on getting more pitchers of sangria and tried several times to clear the table while we were still eating (a friend may have snapped a little bit to the server that we're not done after the fourth attempt of clearing the table).“
