“Rudra Indian Bistro on Cedar Lane is authentic as it gets. We have been here so many times and will always keep coming back because the food is high quality, healthy, and very delicious. We always start with the House Salad which is a great way to begin your meal. The Tandoori chicken is so juicy and succulent, and the Lamb Korma is one of our favorites. I highly recommend Rudra Indian Bistro! One of the best restaurants of Teaneck...“

“Went for lunch on a random Monday and had the prefix menu, which was absolutely exquisite. Fresh flavors, great portions, everything and I mean everything was just exquisite. I must stop if you find yourself in Irvington, and order a couple times a week if you’re fortunate enough to live there! This place is that good.“

“Food was excellent. We got the dahi kebab, malai, naan, and tandoori chicken. Every dish was exquisite and the presentation was also wonderful! Staff were so polite and friendly and provided helpful suggestions. Restaurant was also tastefully decorated!
They are really on track to becoming ambassadors of Indian food in the area.“

“I've been here twice so far with my family. Each time they have been exceedingly patient with my deaf relative and also have made custom dishes and revisions to menu items for various needs. (For instance, I can't have a particular common spice and they made my food without it.)
The waiter gave great recommendations to us. The plates are beautifully presented, and so appealing I forgot to take pictures for the most part -- we had to taste them immediately.
The portions are generous and flavors absolutely perfect. I highly recommend the pani puri, the lamb shank (perfection!), duck saag, and desserts.
We will be back, a lot.“
“I’ve ordered takeout from this restaurant plenty of times, but I decided to eat inside the restaurant with some family. The waitress was so kind and welcoming, and the food was consistently delicious! I highly recommmend this spot for tourists or locals. <3“

“We visited this place for dinner on a whim while we were in New York, and we’re so glad we did. The ambiance was warm and cozy, with Indian music playing in the background, which added a lovely and authentic touch to the experience.
The food was not just good it was truly delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. We ordered saag paneer , Dal Makhni, and Naan, and each dish was excellent. The portion sizes were generous and satisfying as well.
A special mention to Mr. Deep and his Sister for their wonderful hospitality. They made sure our visit was memorable and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this family run restaurant to anyone looking for great Indian food. Absolutely loved it 😍“

“This is a great spot for the people that are familiar with the Indian cuisine and are looking for a comfort food spot. Their chicken curry was really creamy and tasty and the meat was tender. Their waiter was really kind and patient with us but the food did take a little longer than we expected. Also when you come in to this restaurant you get a strong smell of their Indian spices and overall food which might throw away some people but definitely not me.“

“The goat curry was amazing! No gamey smell, the meat was super tender, and the flavor was spot on. I could eat the gravy by itself. Plus, they use less salt, and you can always ask them to adjust the dish to your taste.“

“It's a vibey little spot, pretty cheap, definitely an interesting authentic feel. Dude spoke no english (totally ok) but was friendly and hooked me up as I pointed to stuff. Worth a stop in, not the best food i've ever had but solid. I'd go back if I needed a quick bite. $10 flat filled me up.“

The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can truly tell they care about both the quality of the food and the people who come through their doors.
It’s not often you find a place with both outstanding food and such genuine hospitality. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and an even better experience!“

“Found this place as “Desi Vegan” on google maps, which doesn’t seem to actually exist but is just a sub-menu of this place or something like that. The restaurant itself is definitely a bit of a hole in the wall—just a few tables and no physical menus or anything—but don’t judge a book by its cover. We had some of the best Indian food we’ve had anywhere, and a full vegan lunch for two was like $25. Super authentic, and extremely nice people working there too, even gave us a couple of free samosas as we headed out. I think this’ll be our new go-to spot for the one time a year we fly out of JFK and are driving by near here Updated from previous review on 2026-01-11“

“This is our new go-to place after our Florilegium choral concerts on Sundays. They are accommodating of our large group, flexible in splitting the check, and very nice overall.
I have enjoyed the mango lassi, lamb korma, samosas, shrimp appetizer, pakora, sag paneer, and dal.
If you want minimal spice, just let them know and they will adjust their dishes. We never get to dessert because the food is so filling!“

“I went there Tuesday April 7th on my way to Costco. Someone from the Bronx told me about their delicious food a while ago. I decided to stop by and try and she was right. I bought the spicy chicken biryani and chicken samosas. It exceeded my expectations and my son loved it too. The customer service was great and the place is so clean. I will be definitely going back to try their other dishes.“

“Baazi Nyc is my absolute go-to for Indian food on the UWS! I frequently order takeout from them, and the food is consistently fantastic. They have mastered the perfect level of spiciness—it’s never bland or overly sweet, and they don’t just blast the food with heat for the sake of it. You can actually taste the complex, authentic flavors instead of just burning your palate.
If you are looking for recommendations, their Branzino Pollichattu is an absolute must-have. You also can't go wrong with their rich, deeply flavorful 2 Day Dal Makhni.
I used them for catering once, and they were phenomenal. The team was incredibly helpful in suggesting ideas, coming up with a great menu, and setting everything up properly so I didn't have to stress.
I’ve also dined in a couple of times, and the experience and service were just as amazing as the food. Whether it's a cozy night in, a catered event, or a sit-down dinner, Baazi always delivers. Highly recommend!“

“Finally got to visit this authentic Kerala restaurant. I wasn't disappointed. Really good food (PN: salt is low) keeping health into consideration. I enjoyed their podhichoru.
I was really impressed with the quantity considering it was a take away and not dine. I also met Aby. He was such a gentleman and helped me with the order when I arrived at the restaurant. Dine in has limited tables.
Also I was told that it gets very busy between 12 to 3 pm. Take away would be advisable during this time period. Especially Friday to Sunday.
This is a must visit. I'll be back for more. 👍🏽✅“

“Delicious Indian food, they’ve got fairly quickly service and large portions for the cost! A really good delivery / pickup option
The Seekh Kebab was nice and spicy, the Tikki Masala had a good tomato flavor, the Vindaloo had a bit of potato and a nice kick, and the Korma was smooth and creamy.“

“Loved this place! The food was flavorful and everything came out hot and fresh. Perfect mix of spicy, savory, and comforting. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and the overall vibe was great. Definitely a go-to spot. Can’t wait to come back! 🍜“
“I ordered mild. MILD. And yet my taste buds were personally visited by the ghost of every spice in existence. Was it spicy? A little. Did I care? Absolutely not, because the lamb biryani was so good I had to sit quietly for a moment and reflect on my life choices.
The butter chicken was silky, rich, and deeply unfair to every other butter chicken I’ve ever had. The garlic naan showed up like it had something to prove — and it did. I ate way too many pieces and I would do it again without hesitation.
The mango lassi was the cooldown I didn’t deserve but desperately needed.
Upahar, you have ruined me for other restaurants. 10/10, sending everyone I know.“

“Best butter chicken i’ve ever had!! There’s options to allow for spice levels which makes it great to order for groups. We ordered take out and the owner was nice enough to throw in an extra naan for us, thank you! Sauce was very flavorful, great portions of chicken. Even the plain white rice had wonderful hints of herbs and cardamom. Naan was soft, filled with cheese and huge portion for the price. Will be back!“

“This place is truly a hidden gem. Extremely authentic, expertly-crafted South-Indian Food. The buffet exceeded expectations. As someone with a South-Indian partner, they also concurred that this is some of the best Indian food we have had in the NY region.“
“Went here based on old reviews and were disappointed to find it an Omni place. However, when we asked we were provided the old Aamber menu and were pleased to have so many vegan options. The tofu tikka masala was a bit sweet, but the bartha was fabulous. Nice service, too.“
