“First time dining and had a magnificent experience. the bread and cheese starter was fantastic. chicken parm, spaghetti pomodoro, and paccheri alla bolognese were all 10s (which is not easy to achieve). the bolognese was the sleeper hit. More than anything, the service was the most important highlight. Gray was our server and made sure we had a fantastic night. Her attention to detail and great timing made us feel so welcome and attended to. Highly highly recommend this place, they’re doing everything right. environment is also so beautiful to boot.“

“Our experience at Pancetta was great! Our waitress Monica, was so friendly, patient and accommodating. She was happy to ask the bar our questions about drinks and answer any questions about food. “Place is a hidden treasure. Food is outstanding! The waiters were very welcoming, funny and very attentive without rushing us before we could ask for anything they were right there. I was expecting to do brunch, however they were doing a strict prix fixe Mother's Day menu, which were more lunch-based options. Although I was disappointed with that—the service, ambiance and food made up for it and exceeded my expectations! The clams and salmon focaccia are to die for! So are the pizza and cocktails! I got the Bianca pizza - DELISH & the amalfi cocktail was chef's kiss! The staff was so attentive and accommodating and I can't wait to go back. Shout out to Michelle for making my first experience so amazing! They also have valet parking as well.“

“Wife and I flew into JFK late one Friday. We were famished , it was 1030 by the time we got to Arthur Ave.. We parked and walked , came upon people eating alfresco. We asked if any place was still serving. The "MAN" Vic asked what we would like, from one of the tables. In no time we had a bottle of Vino Tinto in front of us and people were making us try food they were dining on. I felt like I was at my friends ,' THE PIAZZAS " house. “Phenomenal from start to finish!! We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for an early dinner. Dani, co-owner & chef, greeted us with a warm welcome. You could tell right away she had a genuine interest in making our experience special. We started out with a creamy, simple burrata that came with homemade focaccia. The bread was SO perfect. We each had salmon with Israeli couscous and broccolini. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the wine suggested by Dani. Then dessert…it was so difficult to pick just one!!! So we got three! Ana, the other owner, is the evil genius behind the to die for desserts!! Tiramisu, mascarpone cheesecake (we took it to go) and an apple cider donut with vanilla ice cream. (The donut was so absolutely divine that my boyfriend ordered a second serving!!) And can I just say the cappuccinos were on point! My mouth is watering just thinking about it all again! I hope others visit and enjoy the fabulous food, service and atmosphere at Mambo. We don’t live around the corner, but will definitely make the drive back because the whole experience was just that good. I wish Dani and Ana much success. “This fine Italian deli has been around since 1996. I used to work up the block and came here regularly for lunch sandwiches or a homemade chicken parmesan or eggplant parmesan. I moved out of the area after retiring, and I was back visiting in Hackensack. We went here for lunch hero sandwiches. We all opted for a number 10, turkey with fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and balsamic vinegar. Ooooh, so good! Just like what I remember from 25 years ago. Cosmo looks the same..... just a little older! We washed the sandwiches down with Dr Brown' cream sodas. They also carry Stewart's sodas. Wow! You don't find that delicious soda in a deli often. Cosmo carries the best products! BTW: the sandwiches are loaded up with the ingredients; there's no skimping here. I totally forgot sandwich photos before I ate half, as we all dove in to eat after getting home. Parking is just behind the deli. If you're traveling down Rt 4, get off at either Main St (eastbound) or Kinderkamack Rd (westbound). I highly recommend this excellent Italian deli. It's the real deal!“

“As a creature of habit, when I find something I like, I keep ordering it forever and ever. And as an ex-pat, born-and-raised Italian, pizza is akin to religion and a great tasting pizza is akin to experiencing the Beatific Vision! But enough with the Catholic references! Let’s talk about P&M’s pizza! I have been ordering my usual extra-large pie (half “margherita” and the other half “salsiccia”) since 2008! Over the years, I got to know the owner (who personally makes the pies) and he goes to great lengths to find the best quality ingredients for his pizzas. And you can taste the difference in the flavor of the tomato sauce, the mozzarella cheese, the olive oil, the herbs. As all Italians know, a good pizza begins with the the base—the dough or crust—that must be a perfect balance of crispy-and-chewy, and P&M’s nails it each and every time!

The pie I ordered yesterday was $23 plus tax, (unheard of!!!) which was delivered to my doorstep in less than 20 minutes (please tip your delivery guy) together with a coupon. After you collect 9 coupons, your 10th extra-large, “margherita” pizza is free!!! In 16 years of ordering from P&M, I’ve enjoyed quite a number of free pizzas too!

P&M Classic Pizza and Restaurant is THE place if you want to experience the best pizza in Hamilton Heights!

PS. I didn’t give a star-review for the category “atmosphere” because in 16 years, I’ve only ordered for delivery (I told you I’m a creature of habit).
