I have been to Harvest Seasonal Grill in Newtown at least half a dozen times, and it is consistently one of my favorite spots in Bucks County. Whether it’s for brunch, lunch, dinner, or happy hour, it never disappoints.
The Food & Menu
Their farm-to-table approach really shines through in the freshness of the dishes. I love that they offer a great selection of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options—it makes it so easy to dine with a group.
• Must-Try: The Cuban Black Bean Bowl is one of my go-tos (the chicken add-on is great, but it’s a fantastic plant-based option on its own).
• Seasonal Favorites: Keep an eye out for their Butternut Squash Soup in the cooler months—it’s delicious.
• Drinks: Their sangria is a must-have in the spring and summer; they always have such creative and refreshing seasonal flavors.
The Service & Atmosphere
The staff here is incredibly nice and attentive. They truly care about their guests—they even called me once when someone in my party accidentally left their boxed leftovers behind! It’s that kind of personal touch that keeps me coming back. The atmosphere is upscale-casual and perfect for any occasion.
Parking & Location
Located in the Village at Newtown, parking is generally easy to find in the surrounding lots, which is a nice break compared to some of the busier city locations.

“Wow our first time there, went with friends. My wife and I sat at the bar while we waited for the rest of our party and had a drink. Seamed lively with people all around the bar having a good time. Happy hour drinks and apps. My wife had huge salad, and I enjoyed the salmon, with ahi tuna app. It was delicious. We will return, great price for 6 of us***** all around.“

Once the busyness starts to slow down I would say it will relax a bit on the parking and there will be more tables open but who knows! “If we could give 10 stars we would! Where to start? As you enter the restaurant you are greeted by beautiful architecture. We were greeted by Noel and she gave us a short introduction to the property. Sitting downstairs near the fireplace was romantic, although it was warm outside! Starting with a complimentary appetizer to open our palette, created especially by the chef. The appetizer my wife had was the tuna tartare, the best she has ever had. Mine was the garden salad and the presentation with pineapple was delicious. Moving on to the main course I had the 30 day dry aged ribeye with a chefs presentation of French fries…I really didn’t need a knife to cut the steak, perfect temperature as ordered. The wife enjoyed cod with black rice. Superb! Unfortunately we were so full from dinner that we did not have room for dessert. Once we left our table we explored the building and the beautiful grounds.
Mario, the owner was circulating through the restaurant and greeted all the patrons. We can not recommend this restaurant and B&B more!! This is definitely our new favorite place!“

“Very nice anniversary evening at the inn. We had not been there in many years. There have been a few different owners in the recent past but it still feels familiar. Different but familiar which I think is great. My friend is running the place now and seems to have put together a great team and some very nice dishes. Just last week we were texting about the inn and the menu and I mentioned the famous tomato bisque that the inn used to serve. Well not even 10 days later it’s back in the menu, which I think will be a welcome surprise to the local crowd. We are looking forward to returning.“

Classic normal menu, classic normal service. Everything you would expect at a Friendly’s. And that’s key on what I base my reviews on: expectations and reality.

There was something I really didn’t like though. The salt and pepper shaker were ugly and red (see attached photo). I didn’t like looking at them and it didn’t ruin my experience but it was a hindrance.

On the other side of things, the Fribble was Fribbletastic. Like what even is a fribble. Super weird. But that thing was good. I even told the waiter that it was fribbletastic and he agreed.

As soon as the bartender was made aware, he quickly told that "man" and his friends to get out.The regular DJ, Rick is currently on his vacation and his fill-in apparently shares the opinion of the disgusting bigot, my friends heard him say "I don't care about all that juneteenth stuff, I just don't want *them* near my car."I don't know who this dj thought his audience was, but that kind of comment is not appreciated. “This is a sort of hidden gem which initially brought us in with their gluten free fries, a bowl of warmed/seasoned olives (no longer offered) & a nice Mediterranean salad with some grilled chicken. But what keeps us ALWAYS going back are the amazing the bartenders who take great care of us! Without them I doubt we would have gone back during some hiccups in food availability. If you are looking for some great drinks, great service from the bartenders and some basic bar food then definitely give this place a chance. ☺️“

Mary Francis was the manager came out to check on us and make sure we were ok and well taken care of. Will absolutely go back!!“
