The moment you walk in, you’re greeted and made to feel welcome. The waitresses are consistently polite, attentive, and always carry a genuine smile. In particular, the waitress with the slicked-back hair has a way of elevating every visit; she’s made several special occasions truly memorable. The restaurant is almost always busy, and for good reason. Because seating can be difficult to secure, I strongly recommend making an RSVP ahead of time. Even with the constant flow of guests, the experience never feels rushed. The master sushi chef is actively engaged with diners, adding an extra touch of authenticity and hospitality to the meal. “Service was truly excellent and the food was really very special. Excellent and fresh, well prepared sushi dishes. The menu is tremendous.

Free food! Yes they give you things for free. Free platter of salted edamame. I took my leftovers home, because I couldn’t finish my huge lunch portions. They wrapped everything beautifully, included free miso soup and sweets in the bag. They also gave me extra soy sauce wasabi and dishes as well as utensils.

Free probiotic drink after your meal.

A family run establishment with a single sushi chef that shows dedication in the meals he creates. Passing through the area I stopped in and requested an Omakase at the bar and was given a wonderful experience! The multi course Omakase featured some unique dishes such as Chuka Idako, fried Shishamo, Madai, Hotategai, Chutoro, Maine Uni and Chawanmushi. Overall this was a pleasant experience with a good atmosphere and tradition dishes you may not find at your typical sushi restaurant 6.7/10.“

“We had dinner at Matsu on Friday......its a little gem in Hillsdale. We were pleasantly surprised, by the quality and quantity of the food. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They very friendly and warm. It was a most enjoyable dinner. We have ordered food to takeout but hadn't been inside the restaurant since the pandemic.... We will definitely go again soon. “The food is top notch. From the soup to the sushi. Even the ice cream is delicious. What really bothers me though is the service. There is a 90 minute time limit which I get but when you are rushed to get out by an hour that’s not right. Also when you’re hounding tables waiting to literally take a plate because you have nothing else to do that’s a problem. Finally when you’re coming up to tables and asking them for platters back because you don’t have enough supposedly that’s not good either. Last night I was hounded constantly. Twice I had people tell me to move my sushi to my paper plate because they needed the platter. May I suggest buying more platters. Love the food and yes I know I’ll be back but the service was ridiculous in your face. Don’t come here for date night because they don’t leave you alone“

“This is a great local sushi restaurant in Little Falls. The quality is excellent, very fresh, with nice presentation. Tropical Mango and Volcano are two of my favorites, along with the Yellowtail Jalapeno roll which is simple but very satisfying.

If you order a tray of 5+ rolls anywhere else its at least $80-$100. Our tray tonight had 1 godzilla roll, 1 dragon roll, 1 Mexican roll, 1 spicy California roll, an asparagus roll, 2 miso soup, and a steamed veggie gyoza. It came with 2 side salads and half of a fried California roll on the house. It came to less than $60 (about $56)

“The food was delicious, loved the miso soup and the shrimp tempura especially. The salad was also really good, it had some ginger paste and normally, i’m not a fan of ginger but this was so good!

The service was amazing. The staff were super attentive and friendly. We came for my sister’s birthday and they sang so well.

“I've been coming here on-off for about 3 years, I think? It's a lovely, quiet place. I'm rarely in the mood for sushi but from my occasional hunt, the bulgogi roll lured me here. And the simple atmosphere & excellent service made me come back again, and again. Although I don't have many pictures of my dining or pickups from here, I highly recommend the bulgogi or pink salmon special (seared roll)

“Wow! The fish is so fresh, and buttery, comparable to omakase without the price tag.

I usually don’t order sushi in the summer considering the heat, but this spot has such high quality fish that I’ve ordered 4 times this week in 98 degree weather.

The salmon pieces melt in your mouth, I dream of them.
The tamago is perfectly done, tender, and not too sweet.

The Triple Alliance roll was my favorite. The salmon was perfectly balanced with a bit of spice, sweet eel sauce, & refreshing mango.

Saddle River roll and spicy salmon rolls were also delightful, but a bit too much crunch for my taste.

In my opinion, the dressing that came with the garden salad, not that anyone gets sushi for the salad, needed a bit more ginger and sweetness.

So excited to have found my new go to sushi spot.“

I wasn't sure how I felt about the pesto on sushi when I tried it but I appreciate the creativity nonetheless. Would love to see one for people who really like spicy food.
