We had too much food so had some to go and had a late night snack! Chicken wings weren't soggy, Mac and cheese were great! I'd say the chicken strip, chicken wings, and Kim chee fried rice were a good choice. Kids (4,7,9) loved the wings and Mac&cheese.Once we got back to our hotel(NJ), the wings were still good !!! “One of my favorite cheap eats in Manhattan. I cannot explain how much I love this place. You go up to the counter to order and the food is ready within 5 minutes and served directly to your small table. And even though the restaurant itself is tiny, there always seems to be an open seat as people eat and leave very quickly. I ordered the Fried Chicken Rice and it was delicious!! Although there isn't a lot of chicken, the fried bits are fried to perfection as it isn't too oily and full of flavor. I especially liked dipping it into the sour and spicy sauce which elevated the chicken. The rice is also to die for as it is seeped with chicken broth, you can just eat this alone without anything else. Also, the soup is incredible as I love how much white pepper they put into the broth, the flavors are so incredibly intense. I love ME Chicken Rice. Probably top 10 favorite eats in NYC!“

It’s $60/hr so more people helps you to spend less when dividing that price. It was 5 of us so it was $24 before taxes2. Pay attention to the timer! If it says you have 5 minutes left, get yourself together to LEAVE. The workers came in as soon as the time finished.3. The food and drinks are great. There’s a phone in the room where you can call the front to order food4. No outside food or drinks allowed but they made an exception for my friends because they surprised me with cupcakes.5. 18% gratuity is automatically on bill6. They have a YouTube Karaoke machine so you have the option of going on YouTube if you want to.Overall great experience“

“My 1st time having Korean fried chicken. Been wanting to have it for a long time. Came across this gem and I'm a fan.Chicken is fried fresh to order so please be patient. I ordered the 5pc Golden original just so I can taste the overall flavor. Nicely fried to a crispy and juicy texture. The guy at the register Kim bought me over a side of their Secret Sauce to try it. Not too sweet or spicy but it's sticky. The 1st time having pickled daikon also. Very refreshing and a palate cleanser. Love it“

“My sister and her boyfriend introduce me to this fast food restaurant and I have to say I love it ! Though they don’t have many options other than burgers or tenders I think you get what the name of the restaurant provides lol. They do have some sides such as Mac and cheese, coleslaw, seasoned fries/cheese fries, pickles and milkshakes. I tried the Mac and cheese and honestly it lacked that cheesiness you look forward to when eating mac & cheese but aside from that the food is delicious. I usually get the medium level of spice and the one slider (comes with pickles, coleslaw, and signature sauce however you can ask to subtract or put things on the side) seasoned fries and drink meal which is always perfect as the chicken is pretty big. In my opinion medium it’s not very hot so if you have a good tolerance to spicy food I would try maybe a level above that which is “hot”. I’m super excited that they are opening one in my town because I will definitely be coming back ! Definitely recommend.“

“The chicken is hit or miss, which for a rotisserie takeout place is not really acceptable. The sides are always really good, but the real gem here is the gyro and seasoned fries. The service is awful though. Guy at the counter had no greeting, just played on his phone. Didn't use gloves when he handled my food (people use their phones while on the toilette so would been nice to use gloves or wash hands). He didn't say thank you, just handed it to me in cold silence. My advice would be to hire someone who can at least pretend that they want to be there and act like they appreciate your business. With so many great take out places around, this one is unfortunately an easy pass for now on.*** UPDATE *** Excellent management. Clearly strives to fix flaws and makes things right. “The best chicken of New York by far. Once you try it, you adopt it. The lady is really nice, helpful and generous. I liked the place, near the bus stop on my way home. It has some cachet with the hand-made menu or the wooden table. The menu is very complete, you will definitely find something you like. My favorite all time was the Hot Mayo. It is a hidden gem in crowded NY !“

“Heard so much about Rowdy Rooster and finally made it here. We came on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't too crowded, we were able to grab a seat. There are also standing room for a quick bite as well. The place was so adorable! Everything was so colorful and the walls and even the ceiling was decorated with colorful roosters. Our cashier was really helpful in helping us decide what to get bc it's our first time here. She said the thigh meat was better in the sandwich and indeed it was one of the best chickens I have ever had. It was so crispy but so tender on the inside. Loved the sandwiches so much bc it was full of Indian spices too! The mango lassi was amazing, definitely comparable to any sit-down Indian restaurant. We also had a hard time deciding what sauce to get and she gave us a complimentary sauce in addition to the one we bought, so we got to try both sesame yogurt and mint chutney, which were both delicious! I wish this place was closer to where we live, I would totally get take out here all the time!“

“I've been ordering from this location for months since they opened, their chicken is crisp on the outside, so juicy on the inside and the seasoning consistantly surpasses any other chicken I've had. I've shared it with friends and colleagues. Today I experienced something even better. I placed a delivery order at work and when I got home to have this wonderful meal, my order was wrong, I like dark meat, they sent me white. I went on their website and left a complaint of my disappointment no less than 10 minutes, the store manager, Alexis called me to apologize and asked how could he fix this for me. Food is delicious, we always get the Onion Chicken, which is perfect to share with 2-3 people and supplement with something else like bu dae jigae. Like everywhere in Palisades park, street paid parking is limited but there is free parking in the neighborhood streets if you want to walk further. “My mother and I visit Max's Restaurant every now and then when she wants to eat Kare Kare. It's not usually busy when we visit, and we normally know what we'll order by the time we sit down, usually Kare Kare, sinigang na baboy, rice, and maybe an additional dish for variety. It's never too loud when we dine in but there's occasionally a large party dining while we're here. I think Max's is a spot that we'll always continue to visit. The reason for my four stars as opposed to five is because I finished my cup of water a while ago and they haven't refilled it yet. I think that attention to detail is small but important.“

“The closest thing to Nashville Hot Chicken that I’ve had outside of Nashville. I ordered 3 “hot” tenders and mac & cheese. I could only finish 2 tenders — they’re huge! I was pleasantly surprised with the mac & cheese as a lot of places make it pretty bland, but this one was decent. For me, the “hot” was pretty spicy and any spicier would be too much for me. I will say that the breading on the tenders is a *tad* thick. I think if they coat the chicken a bit thinner, it would be better. Still enjoyed it though and will be back for sure.“

“This is my go to (and my son’s) all the time. My absolute favorite are the shrimp buns. My son gets the shrimp buns and the beef bulgogi is his main course. I sometime splurge and get the 3+2 garlic and soy sauce flavored wings and drumsticks. What I love is both freshness, taste and consistency. It’s a husband and wife small business so also love being able to help our local economy. It sure helps they’re so pleasant. I feel creepy writing that sentence, but it's 100% the truth. The Tteokbokki was also amazing, so much flavor without drowning in sauce. The rice cakes were so chewy! The kimchi cheese fries were fine. The fries themselves were cooked really well, but the cheese, kimchi, and sauce led to a dish that was a bit chaotic in terms of taste.
