“AMAZINGGGGG!!! After hearing nothing but excellent things about this restaurant I finally made it and it lived up to all the hype!! Everything was amazing from the time we sat down, staff was very friendly and welcoming and our waitress was so personable and very attentive. All the food was top notch, the crab toast appetizer special on the fabulous sourdough bread was unbelievable, I have never had crab that fresh! Also, I highly recommend the potato app ? I will definitely be back!! Chef came out to ask how everything was, great guy! I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!!“

“First time visit and we will definitely be back.Unfortunately, we along with many others in the area have been missing this great dining spot probably because from the outside it looks like a bar —- not the cozy place it is. We loved the food —- generous portions and perfect menu choices not to mention the server,Hannah, she is delightful. She told us that there are changing specials every Thursday-Sunday !! “long wait good food, some chairs and tables and Jenga out front while you wait, small inside but fast efficient service, daily specials posted on wall, we were waited on right away brought water and put in our order we ordered the fruit plate for the table - melon, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and oranges, I got the shrimp benny- awesome no Cajun spices for me so they left that out shrimp cooked perfectly holandaise excellent and served on a corn muffin, crunchy hasbrowns - if you are a Benedict fan get this, breakfast sandwich on a bagel with tater tots reported as very good especially the tots and a standard fried eggs and toast with hasbrowns also reported as good, tough parking and long wait but was very good“

“I photographed a wedding here back when it was known as Martell's Waters Edge and the location was incredibly epic! At every turn I had incredibly scenic locations to provide my couple with epic photos (see attached).In addition the staff was super friendly and helpful as well as the food was really amazing! Chairs could be more comfortable and nose level a bit less but I definitely recommend and will go back again!Dietary restrictions: They have a designated kitchen for gluten free and vegan.“

“Definitely one of the top restaurants in Manahawkin/LBI area. My pasta dish was amazing, and service was great. Only downside to this place is it’s not huge and they don’t take reservations. We lucked out and got a front parking spot and table fairly quick. They also have a cool little outside area with a drink truck and a fire pit. This makes the waiting part a lot more bearable (keep in mind we only waited about 15-20 mins anyway). Overall, great experience. Certainly a spot you should try this summer if you’ve never been.“

“The vibe of this casual burger (plus!) restaurant is just awesome - super islandy, laid back, refreshing & relaxed. It's always busy, but we never feel rushed. There is live music outside on the patio weekly and the absolute friendliest service. Every meal we've had here has been consistently delicious and the meat they use for their burgers is just so tasty - it really stands out from all the rest. Fusaros is great because they made it absolutely perfect and tastes amazing! Hopefully they add it to their menu for other people to try. “Our pizza adventures continue and we found ourselves at the Anchor Inn a few nights ago. The place was full of families and friends enjoying a varied menu. We came for pizza but ended up ordering an appetizer and salad. Everything was very good! Service was fast and attentive. There’s an accessible entrance. Street parking was easy, but there’s also a parking lot. The place is probably a madhouse in the summer, but we had no trouble getting a table.“

The bread was excellent and the cutlet was really big. The sandwich is huge. I also got some rolls and Irish soda bread to go and a cappuccino. The Irish soda bread was excellent. The rolls were soft on the inside but the outside was a bit tough. Overall, I highly recommend this spot. They have an area outside to eat there that is enclosed and heated in the colder months.“

“First time here! I got tomato soup and half a chicken salad sandwich. It was delicious and fresh with crunchy celery and carrots. The soup was creamy and hot. My husband got the soup, cheeseburger club sandwich with fries. He loved it! Place was clean and warm, since it was so cold out I really appreciated that. The food came out quickly and service was great! Can't wait to try the breakfast! Prices are reasonable as well.“

“Came here back in 2018-2019 a few times for dine in and takee out, back then the food was a hit or miss but I went again in December 2023 and for St Patricks Day 3/17/24 and the food is on point! “This place is always consistent. Good filling food at a great price. The staff was attentive and yet not hurrying. The only criticism this morning was the breakfast potatoes and although it does say "crispy" these were well done and bounced across the plate and resisted piercing from my fork. I think next time the hash browns instead. Everything was hot and fresh, coffee urn on the table was enough for 3 cups, I liked that. Perkins is always a safe bet whether here in Lacey, Toms River or Scranton Pa always good and priced fairly.“

“First time to Black Eyed Susan's and it really was such a delight. The vibe inside was very cozy and inviting, they had a wood fire going in the fireplace, the lights were perfectly dimmed. We were greeted warmly, our coats checked. My drink, the "you had me at aloe," was the prefect blend of fruity and fresh - and the passion fruit pearls atop the drink were so fun - a little burst of flavor! My husband couldn't decide on a wine, and they kindly let him have a small taste of one before he committed - in the end he went with a lovely Sangiovese Red. We left feeling FULL. The prices here are not cheap, but the serving size you get for the price is a good value. We took home portions of our entrees, and the only apps we had were the sour dough bread and olives - of which we also took some home. Typically I don't venture this far north on the island, but for the tasty food and bevies I would make the trip again.“

We love Shady Rest for the food(any chicken or fried scallops should always be considered) but for the most part, the dining experience has usually been random, at best. “Food presentation and taste was wonderful. I was happy to see that they still serve a salad and side dish with the main entree as many restaurants don’t anymore. The restaurant itself was very cute, I do wish it was a bit larger of a space only due to noise. There was a very large party and the people talking/laughing in combination with the acoustics of the room just made it sound extremely loud inside, my husband and I could barely concentrate to talk. It would have been nicer to have the party in a private area, if the restaurant was larger. The staff were all very friendly and kind. Overall we were impressed and will def be back!“

“This is an absolute wow restaurant. There is nothing on the menu that's generic and everything has a personal touch to it. I got to meet the owners and they were the most down to earth friendly people. The clams were an excellent appetizer, followed by one of the best medium-rare prime ribs I've ever had. They absolutely nailed it. The rest of my party enjoyed the seafood they ordered. The dry scallops had by others were raved about and the service was top notch. This is a high end seafood restaurant with all the charm of a seaside inn. I absolutely can't wait to go back.“

“Came in for an early dinner with my son. We arrived at 4pm. By the time we left there was a wait, and it's obvious why. The food was so good. The wings were delicious, and cooked perfectly. I had the scallops and my son had the cheese steak. Two very different meals and both absolutely incredible. Our waiter was so awesome and attentive as well. Would 100% come back.“

“As someone with Celiac disease, we often "miss out". It's so nice to have a place that "gets" gluten free and offers great options. I had the chicken cheese steak with fries. Both were delicious! The gluten free roll was soft, not dry & crumbly. The fries were some of the best I've ever had - fresh, crisp. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommended giving them a try.“

“Excellent place to eat. I've been here 8 or more times over the years on a date night and with three grown boys. Never did anyone order something they did not like. Always good service, fun and creative food for the family. Prices are very fair. My wife loves the fish/shrimp taco and I always get the pulled pork on a pretzel roll. Their catchup is great, not you standard out of the bottle kind. They leave wipes and a roll of paper towels on your table, so you can get messy and not worry. A great casual place to go out and not break the back.“

“Easy to book online. From walking in to walking out, everything was wonderful. Hostess greeted us and seated us quickly. Food was served in less than 10 minutes. The waitress did a great job checking back and taking care of us. My mom had the salmon and I had a chicken quesadilla as an appetizer, and a cheesesteak. Both were excellent. The cheesesteak roll was soft and delicious. The the sauce and the cheese steak was perfect, not spicy but just enough zing to let you know it was not an out of the bottle sauce. We will return! “Food was very good, it was super busy and we got lost in the mix of it. Forgot our drinks multiple times. Small stuff but it became noticeable, but again, it was busy. The atmosphere was super cool and the arcade was a lot of fun. Parking was difficult and we had to park pretty far away, also.Parking: Parking is shared with the hotel and it was super packed. We had to park pretty far away. It was a distance to the front entrance.“

“We cannot say enough amazing things about our wedding experience at the Daymark! From start to finish Paul & Brian were responsive and collaborative. The vibe and looks of the upstairs party room were beautiful and set the stage for our Mediterranean garden party by the beach disco vibes, not that it needed additional decor but they did allow us to add our own DIY elements that only enhanced the space. The service, food, and drinks were delicious and so good! Paul and the rest of the Daymark staff were attentive and helpful from the day we inquired to the end of our wedding night, to picking up our decor the next day. Everything was just so easy and so well put together. We would 100% recommend the Daymark to anyone who is looking for a unique and colorful wedding space, with an amazing team and food. 10/10 experience and SO glad we had our ceremony (rain plan which had to be used) and reception there. They were collaborative and so helpful with each of our vendors. We truly can't wait to just come and eat the food and reminisce about our amazing day.“
