“This morning my husband and I went to Dockside Diner for breakfast. They were busy and full. We sat down at counter and they only had one waitress, one busser/runner and chef. Despite being shorthanded and extremely busy, the staff, service and food that day were incredible. The 3 staff members handled a difficult situation with class, efficiency, hard work, and a warm friendly smile. Kuddos to that staff!!“

“Came here for dinner with my family during off hours. Well we were back the next day for take our back to Long Island. Food is so delicious. The staff are funny and attentive. They have the electronic lotto machines. I won 10$. I'll be a staple come the summer. Great food, great service good vibes!!!!!“

“What an amazing find. Went for take out before the Friday Fire Pit in Brant Beach. Our family ordered 2 “seasonal Salads” and one Asian mango salads. Wow, homemade dressing, the freshest of ingredients, and at a cost of $5. Less than anywhere on the island. We also ordered the amazing French fries and their house special grilled cheese with a slice of tomato. Yum and yum. Again at a bargain price. The staff and owner could not have been more accommodating. They could not do enough for us while we waited offering us water and a bench. Everyone was smiling, singing and so happy. We will definitely return tomorrow to try their breakfast and their dinner!“

“My family of five adults went there on Easter, and had an excellent experience! Everything was fantastic! We were greeted by friendly hosts and immediately seated for our reservation, the waitress was so friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks were amazing!“

“long wait good food, some chairs and tables and Jenga out front while you wait, small inside but fast efficient service, daily specials posted on wall, we were waited on right away brought water and put in our order we ordered the fruit plate for the table - melon, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and oranges, I got the shrimp benny- awesome no Cajun spices for me so they left that out shrimp cooked perfectly holandaise excellent and served on a corn muffin, crunchy hasbrowns - if you are a Benedict fan get this, breakfast sandwich on a bagel with tater tots reported as very good especially the tots and a standard fried eggs and toast with hasbrowns also reported as good, tough parking and long wait but was very good“

“Wide selection of burgers. Of course, I get the chicken sandwich. Doesn't come with fries, they have to be ordered separately, but there is a selection to choose from like boardwalk to old bay crab fries. You order at the counter and have a seat with the number you're given. Even before I sat down, they came out with my food. Everything was tasty. Half of our party went home with milkshakes. They recommend the chocolate covered strawberry shake. Staff was great, very friendly! There is a small parking lot available on site.“

“What a hidden gem!! Breakfast and lunch only, but quite an array of choices (4 types of Eggs Benedict to Lobster Roll, salads platters, pancakes, etc.). You will not leave hungry. Portions are plentiful. If you are having 6 or more people on a weekend or holiday,, make sure to reserve a table or you will be waiting. Also a small bar. Outdoor dining and drinks in season. This is now the new go-to place for family gatherings. Dock side service for boats, too.“

“Definitely one of the top restaurants in Manahawkin/LBI area. My pasta dish was amazing, and service was great. Only downside to this place is it’s not huge and they don’t take reservations. We lucked out and got a front parking spot and table fairly quick. They also have a cool little outside area with a drink truck and a fire pit. This makes the waiting part a lot more bearable (keep in mind we only waited about 15-20 mins anyway). Overall, great experience. Certainly a spot you should try this summer if you’ve never been.“

“We ran in on a whim and were greeted with a warm welcome. We ordered a bunch of small plates and they were all delicious- the artichoke were cooked in a lovely sauce, the calamari were fried in a light, spicy sauce and the grilled shrimp had a terrific dipping sauce as well. “A true blue collar bar. It's got that old vibe with wood all over. Great ocean beach decorations. They have a decent sized rear patio for the summer. The kitchen has been really good. “The vibe of this casual burger (plus!) restaurant is just awesome - super islandy, laid back, refreshing & relaxed. It's always busy, but we never feel rushed. There is live music outside on the patio weekly and the absolute friendliest service. Every meal we've had here has been consistently delicious and the meat they use for their burgers is just so tasty - it really stands out from all the rest. We can't wait for them to reopen every spring!!“

“Impressed with the quality of the fresh food. Everything in the deli case looked fresh! I ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich with vodka sauce and ricotta. It was really good. The bread was excellent and the cutlet was really big. The sandwich is huge. I also got some rolls and Irish soda bread to go and a cappuccino. The Irish soda bread was excellent. The rolls were soft on the inside but the outside was a bit tough. Overall, I highly recommend this spot. They have an area outside to eat there that is enclosed and heated in the colder months.“

“Andrew T at my applebees was the best server/busboy I've ever had, he was kind and charismatic. He donated my mother a kidney for a lifesaving kidney transplant! He also saved my dog from a fire he also allowed to expand my relationship with christ he made an amazing experience of dining at an applebees.“

“This place is a total gem of south Jersey. Been here for my birthday and came back for brunch the same week. If you are into seafood and love cozy bars this is the place to go. They have raw oyster bar but also there are a lot of cooked options. Their jersey deviled eggs and crab cakes are to die for but all the other options are pretty amazing as well. That being said, parking and seating might be limited during peak hours.“

“Came here back in 2018-2019 a few times for dine in and takee out, back then the food was a hit or miss but I went again in December 2023 and for St Patricks Day 3/17/24 and the food is on point! “First time to Black Eyed Susan's and it really was such a delight. The vibe inside was very cozy and inviting, they had a wood fire going in the fireplace, the lights were perfectly dimmed. We were greeted warmly, our coats checked. My drink, the "you had me at aloe," was the prefect blend of fruity and fresh - and the passion fruit pearls atop the drink were so fun - a little burst of flavor! My husband couldn't decide on a wine, and they kindly let him have a small taste of one before he committed - in the end he went with a lovely Sangiovese Red. We left feeling FULL. The prices here are not cheap, but the serving size you get for the price is a good value. We took home portions of our entrees, and the only apps we had were the sour dough bread and olives - of which we also took some home. Typically I don't venture this far north on the island, but for the tasty food and bevies I would make the trip again.“

“The couple who owns this are the absolute sweetest and went above and beyond in making sure we had what we need. “As someone with Celiac disease, we often "miss out". It's so nice to have a place that "gets" gluten free and offers great options. I had the chicken cheese steak with fries. Both were delicious! The gluten free roll was soft, not dry & crumbly. The fries were some of the best I've ever had - fresh, crisp. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommended giving them a try.“

“Excellent place to eat. I've been here 8 or more times over the years on a date night and with three grown boys. Never did anyone order something they did not like. Always good service, fun and creative food for the family. Prices are very fair. My wife loves the fish/shrimp taco and I always get the pulled pork on a pretzel roll. Their catchup is great, not you standard out of the bottle kind. They leave wipes and a roll of paper towels on your table, so you can get messy and not worry. A great casual place to go out and not break the back.“

“Easy to book online. From walking in to walking out, everything was wonderful. Hostess greeted us and seated us quickly. Food was served in less than 10 minutes. The waitress did a great job checking back and taking care of us. My mom had the salmon and I had a chicken quesadilla as an appetizer, and a cheesesteak. Both were excellent. The cheesesteak roll was soft and delicious. The the sauce and the cheese steak was perfect, not spicy but just enough zing to let you know it was not an out of the bottle sauce. We will return! “Was here last week with ten of us. We all ordered food and everything was spot on. I was surprised that the wait was minimal. My Mahi sandwich was very good. Every bar in lbi is a bit pricey but they only have a 10 week window to make money, so keep it in mind. I ll be back , hopefully soon“

“My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in LBI and were scouring where to eat on a quiet February night. A Yelp search led us to the Delaware Avenue oyster house. When we walked in you would have thought it was the middle of summer because this place was hoppin! Always a great sign if you ask me. We waited about ten minutes for a table. This restaurant is mostly just a large bar with a few tables near the windows. It's really cozy and has a fun vibe. Everyone was immersed in conversation and looked like they were having a great time. They have a really great menu with plenty of variety. We started with the fish tacos and the crab fried rice. As I write this I'm still dreaming of this crab fried rice....it was THAT good. The couple next to us referred to it as crack fried rice and I can totally see why. So much flavor and a nice amount of crab!! We then finished up with a pizza as true NJ residents do. It was thin and crispy and perfect. I can't wait to come back in the summer! They seem to do some nice happy hour specials so I'm looking forward to giving them a try!“
