“Had dinner there for the second time on Saturday night! It was very memorable. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the eggplant with the Barata for an appetizer. It was so delicious and so tasty and my main course was the homemade linguine with lump crab and corn. We also got the meatball which was spectacular and then I got the cheesecake dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love love love this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again.“

“My partner and I love ordering from here. We live in the neighborhood and it’s so convenient to have a place like this we can walk to for something delicious at a great price. I don’t think you could go wrong ordering anything off their menu; their pizza is the perfect Jersey pizza, their burritos are huge and taste SO fresh, and their cheeseburgers are like In N Out but WAY better quality. “Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Food was excellent and the live music was great. They just so happened to play our wedding song which was perfect. My husband and I had the tuna tartar and scallops as an appetizer. The scallops were over this creamy sweet corn chowder with corn salsa and croutons - it was amazing and the best scallops I’ve ever had! Tuna tartar was delicious too. My husband had the pork chops with this mustard crust and eggplant sauce and I had veal milenase with an arugula salad on top. Both were really delicious meals. The veal was huge and definitely could have split that. Even though we were so full, we still managed to get the yummy Pineapple cake and hazelnut chocolate mousse for dessert.“

“We threw a drop-in Buffet dinner for family and friends at Houlihans for 30 to 35 people. The room is spacious and accommodated everyone comfortably. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. Sebastian the manager as extremely gracious and helped ensure our guests were taken care of. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend..“

“The people that work here are pretty friendly especially the ones that work the night shifts.

Only down side is that the prices are pretty comical if you are used to regular food prices. The owner has jacked up the price of fat sandwiches by almost $5 in within the past 2 years. I shouldn’t be paying $20 for a simple foot long sandwich that has a few fried foods in it.

Maybe have a student special meal as most of the business is from the High-school down the street.“

I chose one particular dessert but before mine came out, I asked if I could exchange it for one that someone in our party had in front of her. No problem. “This place is so clean. You wouldn't expect it when you first walk in, but there's no dust balls or cobwebs or anything on the antiques on the walls. So impressive. The staff and owners are so polite and professional, I feel like I could do a full page review on them alone. Our waitress Lisa was a pure delight. A breath of fresh air. If you enter through the bar you get to have a "Goodfellas" moment as you pass through the kitchen to the dining room and get to greet the chef. Finally, the food. It was awesome. I had the steak cooked medium and it came cooked medium..."WHAT!!".... I KNOW, who does that anymore. Cooking a steak to the temp you want it. Innovative. Oh, yeah, my wife had some did too that she thought was delicious. Anyway, it's a cash only restaurant so stop at the ATM before you head there for dinner. Go soon, you won't regret it.“

“Tucked-away Gem!
My husband and I stumbled across this small grill diner hidden in the cut — and what a find! We stopped in for brunch and everything was spot on. He had the shrimp and grits, and I went with the meat lovers with egg whites. Both dishes were so good — seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. The food was delicious and the service was just as excellent. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy spot with quality food. 👌🏼“

“A big, delicious mess. That is what I expect when I order BBQ style items off a menu and that's what I received! I stopped by for lunch and ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich. It was much larger than I expected and I did my best to finish it but did not fully succeed. The meat was overflowing and the sauce got everywhere.

The sides were decent. I loved the slaw but the fries could have used a little salt.

I am in town for a few more days and will definitely be back to try the ribs and some happy hour specials.“

“I had a private event in the Parlor Room and it was fabulous. Food and drinks were spot on and the service was dynamite. There were 21 of us all together and everyone was well cared for by server Lily and the rest of the awesome staff. “Passed this place a bunch of times. So I was hungry. So I said let’s give it a try. Well was amazing. Staff from moment walked in very friendly. Warm welcome. Started off with the Fire Roasted Wings (10) flame-broiled all-natural chicken wings marinated in fresh herbs & spices + lemon & herb dipping sauce Dough-Roni Pie Olli Salumeria pepperoni + tomato sauce + ricotta + fresh mozzarella + red onions Lemon Ricotta Ravioli Hand-made Ravioli + summer squash + fresh mint + pistachios + lemon zest + parmesan cheese Got off track sorry. Has seating at bar and has outside patio. (Was just a little to hot out there today) Very clean and definitely swinging by again. It’s right across street from Fairfield airport. Can’t forget the wine cooler before seated. There had to be 25+ wines to choose from.“

“We have been shopping here as our main grocery store pretty much since it opened. While it is a smaller Whole Foods, it tends to have a good stock of a good variety of items, both fresh and packaged. It is generally clean (with one exception, see below) and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is an Amazon Locker here, so you can get your Amazon packages delivered to this locker, do your shopping, and then pick up your package all in one trip. There are a two issues I very much wish they would fix. For one thing, the restrooms are consistently not clean. This is a suburban store and doesn't get the volume of customers that an NYC store gets, but they don't seem to be able to keep the restrooms in good order. My other issue has to do with what they choose to stock in a couple of categories. The first is orange juice. I always look for organic orange juice not in a clear container (so as not to compromise Vitamin C). I just want organic orange juice in an opaque container the way it comes -- not pulp-free, not extra-pulp, not with Vitamin D added, etc. They never stock this. My other stocking issue has to do with ice cream. They have all kinds of interesting flavors, several kinds of dairy-free options, etc. but I just want a pint of premium, organic vanilla ice cream, straight up. This can sometimes be found but often they don't have it on the shelf even though they carry all kinds of great brands that would offer it. If only this store remedied these two issues, they'd be five stars for sure!“
