“Unregular Bakery was hands down the best bakery experience we had in NYC. The pastry display looks absolutely insane, and everything tastes just as good as it looks. We tried the croissant pudding, the K Bueno, and a cappuccino — all were amazing. The employee recommended we warm up the croissant pudding, and even did it for us — it was exactly what I had been craving after so many disappointing bakery visits in NYC. On top of that, he was super friendly, and you can really see how passionate he is about the bakery and pastries. We’d 100% come back to try all the other goodies.“

The shop is a quiet, sunny place to spend an afternoon and the whole cake orders have never disappointed! I’ve gotten 3 birthday cakes from byClio (the first was off Instagram, before they even had a shop) and always look forward to the next year. So happy to see this business thriving. “My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

Stumbled upon Buttercup Bake Shop and they were so awesome! Totally worked with me and delivered the cupcakes with NO hassle. “Stopped by Ceremonia this morning and grabbed their biscuit sandwich (no bacon) for breakfast. It came out in just a few minutes, and the staff was really kind and welcoming. The sandwich itself was epic. It was huge, with a runny sunny-side egg that made it feel dramatic and so satisfying. I was hoping for decaf coffee, but they only had tea, so I skipped the drink this time. Took my sandwich over to McCarren for a little picnic, which was the perfect way to start the morning. I also picked up one of their cookies to share with my husband later I can’t wait to try it.“

Kam Hing Coffee Shop is truly a hidden hole-in-the-wall treasure! We stopped by and were blown away by their incredible sponge cakes – we tried the coconut and strawberry flavors, and both were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious.

What made the experience even better was the staff. They went out of their way to modify our teas since we’re lactose intolerant, and the result was perfect – flavorful, refreshing, and just right.

This place has that cozy, authentic charm that’s hard to find. Amazing food, warm service, and unbeatable sponge cakes – definitely worth a visit!“

Okay… I get the hype now. These cookies are NEXT LEVEL! I thought they were just another NYC trend, but no — there’s nothing like them. Crunchy on the outside, warm and gooey inside, with chocolate that literally melts in your mouth.

I tried the dulce de leche with coconut and wow… it was love at first bite. Sweet but not overwhelming, with the perfect chewy texture. It’s huge too — definitely shareable, but honestly, you’ll want it all for yourself.

The vibe is cozy, the staff is fast and friendly, and even with the line, it’s worth every minute. If you’re around Central Park or the Upper East Side, don’t leave without grabbing one. Trust me — once you taste it, you’ll never look at cookies the same way again. 🍪✨“

“Not enough stars for Nick & Sons! Everything they make is incredible, I especially love the zaatar and chocolate croissants and cardamom bun. I know how difficult it is to keep things consistent due to humidity, proof time etc but compared to a lot of the bakeries in the area they do a really good job at not over/under baking. There could be a line most days but it goes fast and everyone’s super nice and friendly“

“Interior/outside terrace: the interior is very functional, very few inside seating options. But it’s not like a comfy café. They do have a small outside seating area, which is nice, nothing special, but if you get a table there, you can enjoy your croissants in the sun.

Food quality/price: good selection of savoury & sweet food, very delicious. I got an earl grey bun & a pistachio croissant. Both very delicious, like out of another world. Loved them. I found their food to be quite expensive.
Suggestion: why not making tiny versions of the different treats (to a smaller price as well of course), so solo-visitors can try more delicious treats?

“Ordered recently for my birthday two cookies online which were Chocolate Mallow Cupcake Cookie and the Pink Velvet Cake Cookie which were amazing and delicious. The order was ready when I arrived. The place does get a bit packed but the staff do a great job of crowd control. Oscar was amazing and handed my order and ask if I needed a bag which is great customer service.
