“I took my daughter there on 4/8/25 for her birthday omg it was an awesome experience,the food was exceptionally good and it was alot our server was mannerly, helpful, patient and polite.the ambience was good and the other guest was friendly, they even sang my daughter happy birthday. “First time visiting for me and my wife, as we walked in we didn’t know where to sit so we went upstairs. However, the server led us to a dimly lit corner despite plenty of tables available so we chose to sit downstairs instead, even though seating there was a bit tight and not very comfortable.

Our server downstairs was attentive and friendly, which we appreciated. That said, the overall atmosphere felt more geared toward guests with reservations for special party celebrations rather than people just for dining in, so we got the impression that we should wrap up and leave once we finished our meal.

“I have been going to Sonoma almost weekly for over a year now. It started off with taco Thursdays and their delicious margarita specials and has now turned into exploring every menu item possible. I am consistently impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Incredibly delicious every single time. I am gluten intolerant which can pose challenges. The kitchen and staff have been amazing In accommodating my food allergy. I highly recommend Sonoma on any day of the week. It very quickly became my favorite go-to restaurants.“

“I met a couple of my old coworkers there December 20th after 4 years. I wanted to go to a highly rated family-run place and this establishment didn't disappoint. The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“

“Great little bar near the PATH Station in Harrison. Located in the rear side of the Element Hotel on Somerset Street. Very nice atmosphere, friendly crowd and very friendly service. Reasonably priced drinks and if you like there is some seating outside the bar when the weather cooperates. I found it a nice place to stop and have a drink or two. I’d recommend stopping in when you’re in the area. A nice addition to the newly renovated, and ongoing, Harrison Station area.“

“Westayed at the Holiday Inn before our cruise and liked the convenience of an on-site bar/restaurant. We were greeted by the friendly hostess. The restaurant had great modern vibe with good music & decor. The service was on point and our food & drinks were really good! Portions were generous & prices were reasonable especially for an airport near New York. We ordered the calamari to share which was my husband's favorite. Then he ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and I ordered the Mediterranean salad added falafel & house made blue cheese dressing & they also brought the vinaigrette which I am glad they did as it really made the dish. Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. To the ppl complaint about it being loud in open late, you have the power to move to another place you knew where you were moving to when you moved there tankys has been there my whole lifeThe drinks are strong and cheap, the vibe is chill, older crowd, when they have a DJ the music is good, u can bring food in, and they have a lil pool table and a parking lot. I been going to tankys for year and never had a bad experience. Occasionally the bartenders be too busy to get to me and I’ll get tired of waiting and leave but that’s all rare.“

One day I witnessed three young girls working there standing behind the bar talking to each other and on their phones rather then tending to the customers. “I used to go to this spot on Bloomfield Ave a few years back, but one of the owners (Tommy, i seem to remember) would get a little too animated and become obnoxious towards the customers.

I figured I'd give it another chance and drop by to check it out. It was much more chill. The food was standard bar food, and the beers were relatively inexpensive. The girls behind the bar were cute and attentive. They have a DJ on the weekends, and he plays the classics from back in the day.
