For starters, the customer service was superb. MaryAnne and Reginald were extremely welcoming, warm, and attentive from the moment I walked in. The great service didn’t stop there. I had the chance to try their fresh smoothies, bowls, and Rush Bites, and everything was truly exceptional. Each item was full of flavor, made with fresh ingredients, and you could tell they take pride in what they serve.

“My wife and I have been patrons and huge fans of Chez Catherine for nearly 30 years. Last Friday, we happily celebrated our 39th anniversary there with another very fine lunch. It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. If you are unfamiliar with Chez Catherine, it has been one of New Jersey's Top 5 restaurants for nearly 40 years. We recommend it highly and urge lovers of fine dining to not wait but reserve a table NOW. We're sure you'll find it to be as special as we do.”

“I had an amazing experience dining here tonight. My boyfriend & I wanted to explore Vietnamese cuisine. I’m vegan & loved that they had multiple options for me. We ordered steamed vegetable dumplings to start. Fresh ingredients and the perfect starter to a great meal. The Thai milk tea was outstanding. Not too sweet yet creamy and addictive. The staff directed me towards the lemongrass pho with vegetables and tofu. It was out of this world! The lemongrass flavor was rich and comforting. My boyfriend ordered the Bánh mì. It was sweet and savory - the perfect balance. The baguette was fresh and the meat was very seasoned and well cooked. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Andy. You can tell he’s passionate about his restaurant and customers. I said I added too much chili oil to my broth (rookie mistake - it’s very spicy!) and he was kind enough to add more broth to my leftovers to lessen the heat. He was accommodating, friendly and kind. We can’t wait to explore the whole menu. Highly recommended!”

“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. GERMAN DONER KEBAB - EINE ERLEUCHTUNG Wenn man aus Berlin kommt, hat man gefühlt an jeder zweiten Ecke einen Dönerladen. Ich kann also einen Döner erkennen und beurteilen, wenn ich ihn sehe. Allein schon Berlin und Brandenburg verlassend wird das mit dem Döner innerhalb von Deutschland anders. Je weiter man sich von Berlin entfernt, desto schlechter werden die Döner. In New York entdeckte ich schon vor einiger Zeit den einen oder anderen Anbieter mit dem Versuch, einen Döner zu machen. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. Und dort dann der erste Döner seit 2018 hier in New York. Ich kann gar nicht beschreiben, wie sehr ich mich gefreut hatte. Es sah aus wie ein Döner, es schmeckte wie ein Döner und kam schon recht nah an einen Döner aus Berlin heran. Richtig gut gemacht. Incl. Tax 12,51 Dollar ist zwar sportlich, aber für New York wiederum preiswert. Die Portion ordentlich und sättigend. Wirklich alles frisch und gut gewürzt. Das Brot genau so wie es sein muss, dünn und knusprig. Also das war seit sehr sehr langer Zeit so ziemlich der beste Döner (mit Ausnahme einem Besuch in Berlin), den ich seit langer Zeit gegessen habe. Dahin kehre ich auf alle Fälle wieder zurück. -------------------------------------------------”

“Tried this chicken for the first time at the Westfield location day after Christmas. Place was decorated in a cute fashion for the holidays..service is friendly and food is made to order and came promptly.
I had the hornet sandwich which is a popular option..the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce on that chicken is divine..while I do like blue cheese for me it kind of overwhelmed the rest of the sandwich..still a good sandwich and the orange creamsicle shake was tasty.
Would come again to try the tenders with a variety of their dipping sauces for sure.”

Everything was incredible, but my favorites were the maize croquettes, crabmeat tostadas, and the whole fish adobo — absolutely delicious. They’ve also added some exciting new dishes like the Tamarind Sticky Duck Breast and Pork Chop Amarillo that you’ll definitely want to try.

“This is a great little café/diner right next to the Westfield train station. We are fairly new to Westfield and went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We were wowed by the wonderful customer service of our waitress, Cindy. She was very attentive, provided great order suggestions and also brought over their delicious housemade hot sauce to go along with our eggs. All the food we ordered was wonderful, including the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes, the egg and cheese sandwich on a hard roll, and the Florentine omelette. The chef (maybe owner?), Ash even stopped by later on towards the end of our meal to check on how everything was. We meant to write this review right after that, but then never got around to it and when we went back today a few weeks later, we realized how much we needed to write this up! This time Kirsten and Cindy both helped us out, and Cindy remembered us by our orders from the last time even though we had only been here one time- very impressive and shows a great attention to detail and customer service. Ash came by also, and it was clear he remembered us as well. The food was fresh and tasty yet again (we got the French toast, egg and cheese sandwich, and Greek omelette this time) and the prices are great. This place is a gem and is definitely becoming one of our go-to spots!”

“When my son came down with a high temp, awful sore throat, and queasy stomach, I remembered hearing about the congee at Fresh Bui. So I called on my way home from work and placed an order to pick up for him - without issue. On arrival, I realized that the shop had already closed, but the owner was inside waiting for me to pick up. So kind!! I thanked her and told her I was bringing the porridge to my sick son, and she insisted on making him a special herbal tea remedy. She was so wonderful, and the combo of the congee and tea definitely put my son on the road to recovery! I have also enjoyed their teas and smoothies from time to time, but this was an "above and beyond" experience. So thankful to have Fresh Bui right here in town!”

“I stumbled upon this place since I was planning on going to Yestercades across the street with my brother and my daughter.
I was able to find street parking and it was free since it was past 6pm.
The restaurant is so beautiful and they had outside seating. We chose to sit inside. The lady who greeted us when we walked in and sat us at our table was very friendly. Our server (I think his name was Dave or something similar) was polite and professional. He brought us some water and warm bread. We ordered the lasagna, baked ziti and pasta Alfredo with chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious and filling. We unfortunately didn’t have room for dessert. Our server was kind enough to pack our food in to-go containers for us and it was absolutely delicious the following day. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back.”

I ordered two all beef dogs one with mustard, sweet red onions, and kraut and one with mustard raw onions and chili. These aren't pushcart dogs they are big beefy boardwalk style dogs, very filling. My only gripe is I wish the chili had a little more kick and I had to deduct a point because they didn't have yoohoo or chocolate milk.”

I like to stop by for a latte and a baked good (scone, cookie, or blueberry bar) and sit outside at one of the side tables. Pre-Covid, they hosted open mic night and quiz night every month. Now Steve hosts a monthly Zoom Quiz Night and it is so much fun! A great locally owned cafe.”

“The Hunan Wok in Westfield is my go to Chinese takeout restaurant. I have ordered from here since the middle of 2023 and the food is wonderful every time. I am on a gluten-free diet and my husband is vegetarian; they have always been very accommodating. The delivery is quick and the ladies on the phone are always respectful. Highly reccomend.”

The way fried rice options listed on the menu a little misleading with “and” meaning “or” for some of the protein options. Be sure to ask. Lunch menu doesn’t include drink or dessert options and provided with dinner menu for these.”

“I reached out to Bovelas last minute after I realized that through all the crazy planning of my 25th party, I completely forgot about my cake! I contacted them about a week and a half before my party, super nervous that I was too close and they wouldn’t be able to do it. They excitedly took my order and shared how much they loved the idea for my Brazilian carnival themed birthday. Not only did they make me feel super confident that they would execute my idea perfectly, but they guaranteed that they’d be able to get it done on time. “I went to Surreal Creamery for the first time, and it was a really good experience. There was no line when I arrived, and the cashier was super fast and friendly. I ordered the Amour S’more Ice Cream Cake Jar, but unfortunately, they were sold out of jars, so I had to get it in a cup instead. The cashier apologized for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. My order was still delicious—it came with a big cookie and a piece of cake in the middle. Definitely a 10/10 treat! I think I just came a little late in the day, so next time I’ll be sure to come earlier. I’m especially looking forward to trying the tres leches once it’s available.”
