“I’m a lifelong Vicki’s customer and I absolutely love this diner. But on DoorDash the price for a side of fries is $12 which is absolutely insane. I feel like the prices in person and online for this diner keep increasing and I was always fine with it because I support small businesses and the pandemic was hard but small stuff like soup and fries should not be over $10. If that’s the case, I can’t keep eating here. Diners are supposed to be pretty cheap and now we spent over $30 a person for lunch.“

“Generous amount of food. I ordered Turkey, which is one of the dishes I rate diners on. Compared to other diners, this is a bit above average. However, even with loads of gravy (they gave me a bowl full) and with a mild stuffing, I felt it was a little bland. Good for people on a low-salt diet? I needed to add a lot of pepper and some salt. I still would have liked a more savory taste. Nevertheless, the portion was big and the "side salad" was more like a mini salad entree. Take a look at the pictures. Wait staff was very nice. Lots of people there on a Sunday morning, so you may have to wait. Price is slightly high, but then everything is compared to a few years ago. BUT I'd rather pay more for this kind of quality. I will go back when I am in the area again.“

“We were in the area and stopped for a late lunch at the Park Wood Diner. I felt like a burger and ordered the blue burger supreme. Was not impressed as the burger was well done and not by order of medium. The burger itself was not seasoned so a bit disappointing. Decided to have dessert and ordered a slice of plain cheesecake and it was delicious. I would recommend it highly. My wife ordered the chocolate cream pie which was also delicious.“

“Great diner and great food. The place was empty but that’s cause it was a Sunday at 3 pm after the rush.

The food was excellent. Got the 2 eggs platter and they recommend the buffalo wings which were the perfectly blend of tang and saucy.
Everything was well seasoned and they provided home made whipped butter which I thought was a nice touch.

Staff was amazing. There was a playoff game on and being the only customer there we were all into it

Looking from the outside, this diner has a very nostalgic feel to it.The cook greeted us when we walked in and took our orders immediately. The diner also has a large lot that extends around the back, ensuring that patrons can find suitable parking. I was served by Sue who was great. She was kind, considerate, and offered timely service. She was especially respectful to the lady at the table, who she called “darling” and “my lady.” I ordered the All American special, which included two scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, Taylor ham, bacon, and sausage with a glass of orange juice, which took about 20 minutes. The meal was delicious and economical given current inflation levels, costing only $13.95. I particularly enjoyed the pancakes, which were especially fluffy. In addition to the food, the dining environment was also clean and pleasant. The diner featured hardwood floors, laminate tables, and had a bright, but warm ambiance. We sat at a very comfortable booth and were serenaded by 1970s music, including Linda Ronstadt. During my time of visit, the diner was around half-full (30 or so patrons). The diner is also great for children, featuring kid’s breakfast and lunch menus, with meals costing between $7 - $8. Overall, I had a great time at the Metuchen diner and hope to be back soon.“

“We visited the Park Ave Diner as part of the Somerset Patriots fun diner passport event. We’re almost done, with 2 to go!!
We were welcomed and shown a table right away, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food came out fast, fresh and hot. There’s a large menu, with lots of choices, including healthy ones (and fun drinks!).
The diner is accessible ♿️, with ramps and lots of room between tables. Plenty of parking. Young people near our table were respected and well served!
