“When you travel, you seek to find outstanding restaurants. Sometimes you win, other times, you don't. The Hudson House is a great find, a winner at every turn! From our initial greeting by the owner, Matt, to the great staff who didn't miss a beat, to the most critical part, the food, there wasn't a moment of regret. We started with a couple of tables shares. We had cheese plate with 3 cheeses, homemade fig jam to die for, fresh thinly sliced honeycrisp apples, delicious grapes, and an oil-infused crustini. Perfect start, followed by the burrata and pumpkin seed salad with carmelized pears and sweet potato chunks. I didn't think it could get better after this. I tried the sweet potato and fennel soup, very warm and hearty on a cold night, and the taste was just as I hoped! A beet and farro salad with radishes hit the mark! My partner had a fresh halibut that was cooked to perfection, served on ramen noodles and baby bok choy, with an array of fresh mushrooms, with a gentle but flavorful broth, but not enough to be called soup. To me, one of the best fish dishes I've tasted in a long time. Our guests, the wedding couple, ordered duck breast confit, and hanger steak. The duck, one of her favorites, was tender, most, cooked properly and seasoned well. It was a hit with her and her mother. The hanger steak was the choice of the groom, a very picky eater. He couldn't stop reaching about how amazing it was! Sadly, we were so full, we couldn't eat dessert. All the desserts are homemade by the owner, and they sounded unbelievable. But I'll have to return another time to speak to them. Finally, ask to sit in the jail cell. The pictures tell only some of the story. It's a wine cellar, a hidden romantic getaway, a reprise of days long gone. Or have a seat at the bar with the locals. Or just come and see the beautiful tin ceiling and walls. No matter what you do here, you won't be disappointed.“

“I've been to Tobalá a couple of times since they opened, and their food, drinks, and service have always been great. But last night, they were absolutely stunning. I tried a few dishes (Memelas de Wagyu and Enmoladas de Pato) for the first time, and I was in shock, super delicious!! “Nice cozy dark place. The entrance to the restaurant was..interesting and the atmosphere is pretty dark. The food was great. We had the breakfast platter and the bacon tasted like pork belly. The pancake has more of a cake taste and was thick and airy. It was certainly a unique unexpected blend of flavors but good.“

We have been going for a long time to buy from the bakery section but to actually sit and eat there, it’s been three times. Food is great, prices are great, and on Fridays and Saturdays they have live entertainment. They only negative is that the third time we went there it was packed and no tables were available. We were told we would receive a text so we sat outside in the car. We then noticed that a group of 3 were seated as soon as they walked in and a couple walked in and were taken to a table right away when we questioned the hostess she said nothing and smiled so I asked again why didn’t we receive a text and why were those people seated before us and she said the table took a few minutes to be ready which still didn’t make sense. We sat outside waiting for almost 15 minutes and others were seated right away. Mistakes happen and so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. We also tried to pay with a $50 Visa gift card and the cashier did not know how to do it so we had to pay with our debit. She claims it was declined but it has $50 and we called from there to prove it. Overall I still gave the restaurant as a whole a 5 because this is the first time today, 1/20/2024, that we had a semi negative experience. I definitely recommend this place.“

“I live in Maryland, and was up in Jersey visiting family. My girlfriend, cousin and I all had dinner on 3/23. Sam provided excellent service, and drinks recommendations. In addition, we had an 8:30 reservation, yet never felt rushed. Thanks again to Sam.Cocktails we had were the Smooth operator, steel magnolia, and the southwest cider. All 3 were amazing. The 2nd one was in a short glass with another dry lime wedge that tasted different and not as good as the 1st one. Bad lime season so not the bars fault.Parking: Very small parking lot. Few spots in the street. After hours you can park in the post office parking lot across the street.Wheelchair accessibility: None in the front of building. I don't know about the back.“

The inside atmosphere and the menu options are that of a restaurant, not a diner, and none of it is Indian. The food is excellent - many good salad and burger options, and great dinner entrees. Everything I've ever ordered from here has been good, is ready super fast, has always been correct, and packed well with condiments, etc for a to-go order. The hardest part of ordering/visiting here is there is never any parking. The parking lot next to the entrance is owned by another company and blocked off prohibiting access. Any time I have to pick up an order to go, I have to park down at the post office (about two blocks away), but the food has been consistently good so I will continue to order from here as long as I'm not in a rush.“

Small intimate and not overly loud myself and my colleagues set outside and enjoyed cocktails and the pleasant NYC weather for a few hours. Cocktails are now basically $20 (same size though!). And I had to put down a credit card deposit for $25 per person to dine in a nearly empty restaurant, with a THREE DAY ADVANCE notice period, within which you're told you'll be charged regardless of reason for cancellation, which is extreme. Rigatoni Bolognese was great and service remains excellent. Portions all a good size. Will be back, but maybe on a weekday when we don't have to worry about the cancellation policy.“

“Dietary restrictions: I still like the beef but it was actually bison meat. I am on the whole 30 diet. It’s very strict and only allows quality meats, veggies and fruit and that’s it. I was reluctant to get any sort of “fast food”. But I did not find fast food at Bareburger. It’s obviously the highest quality meats and ingredients. I had a double bison burger filled with caramelized onions and avocado and wrapped in collard green wrap. The food was of very high-quality and it was delicious. The bison was lean but not dried out like a hockey puck it was moist and tasty. Overall it was a great choice than a great experience. Even though it was a pick up both the server and bartender that helped me were very helpful and pleasant. As my massage therapist is in town I will be back!“
