“When you travel, you seek to find outstanding restaurants. Sometimes you win, other times, you don't. The Hudson House is a great find, a winner at every turn! From our initial greeting by the owner, Matt, to the great staff who didn't miss a beat, to the most critical part, the food, there wasn't a moment of regret. We started with a couple of tables shares. We had cheese plate with 3 cheeses, homemade fig jam to die for, fresh thinly sliced honeycrisp apples, delicious grapes, and an oil-infused crustini. Perfect start, followed by the burrata and pumpkin seed salad with carmelized pears and sweet potato chunks. I didn't think it could get better after this. I tried the sweet potato and fennel soup, very warm and hearty on a cold night, and the taste was just as I hoped! A beet and farro salad with radishes hit the mark! My partner had a fresh halibut that was cooked to perfection, served on ramen noodles and baby bok choy, with an array of fresh mushrooms, with a gentle but flavorful broth, but not enough to be called soup. To me, one of the best fish dishes I've tasted in a long time. Our guests, the wedding couple, ordered duck breast confit, and hanger steak. The duck, one of her favorites, was tender, most, cooked properly and seasoned well. It was a hit with her and her mother. The hanger steak was the choice of the groom, a very picky eater. He couldn't stop reaching about how amazing it was! Sadly, we were so full, we couldn't eat dessert. All the desserts are homemade by the owner, and they sounded unbelievable. But I'll have to return another time to speak to them. Finally, ask to sit in the jail cell. The pictures tell only some of the story. It's a wine cellar, a hidden romantic getaway, a reprise of days long gone. Or have a seat at the bar with the locals. Or just come and see the beautiful tin ceiling and walls. No matter what you do here, you won't be disappointed.“
“Maura’s has some delicious Peruvian food! We got the hanger steak with chimichurri, carne asada tacos, lomo saltado and rice and beans. Everything was amazing and the fresh ingredients used really shined through. We can’t wait to go back.“
“Best golf simulator around. The food was amazing and the drinks are top notch. Love the fact that the golf mats move to make you feel as if you are on the course. Jason took care of us and his service is phenomenal. Definitely coming back again very soon.Kid-friendliness: They have golf clubs that the kids can use and mini-games for them as well.“
“What a marvelous restaurant Chef Vittorio has created in Sparkhill !!!As you walk in , you know you’re in for an old school experience infused with Vittorio’s talent!!Very attentive , knowledgeable and friendly service.Thin layered eggplant, Millefoglie Di Melanzane Alla Mamma Carolina ( his mother’s recipe), Polipo as tender as can be and a Carpaccio Di Manzo were some of the appetizers we had that were outstanding, followed by some amazing pasta and finished with Tonno Alla Putanesca that was OFF THE CHARTS and a perfectly done Berkshire Tomahawk Pork Chop!!Maestro, thank you for a wonderful experience!!“
“The ambiance of Raconteur was just perfect. For that brief 1.5hr dinner, I was transported to a cozy, warm and inviting place. The service was excellent (I even shared our server that her aura was glowing). Since we were doing vegetarian that night, we had the spicy shrooms (flavorful, but a little too chewy for me). Then we tried 2 other entrees that I cant remember the names but the taste was unforgettable, one had had honey on it and the other arugula- the bread, folks will make you rethink Keto- reminds me of home made bread. There were fish & meat entrees as well. Go for the vibe, and be transported and renewed. So glad I found this little gem.“
“Food was good. The service was not. Our waitress did not smile much. She was playing with her cell phone when I approached to the service desk with computer and other billing stuff. She name starts with a C.I observed how she treated other customers, she was not warm nor smile either. I told myself, it was not me.“
“I have been coming here for years and in short: I highly recommend it. Not just for wine but for the delicious food, ambiance and the staff is great too. Every time we come here we have a wonderful time, they have literally always brought their A game. I love everything about this restaurant and this review is long overdue. Now the long story:The location is great. Hastings is a 15 minute drive from the city but makes you feel like you're a whole world away. Boro6 is within walking distance of several unique small businesses including a vinyl shop and boutiques. Everything is centrally located on Warburton ave or on Main Street where you can find plentiful parking. The area is a hidden gem and makes you feel like you're actually in a small town as opposed to minutes from NYC. It's perfect for scenic views of the Hudson, an afternoon stroll, then dinner and a glass of wine at Boro6.Now more about the wine bar... it is so nice to see the attention to detail and how much they genuinely care about the dining experience. Everything is hand crafted. The menu has so many options and they add new items often with well thought out pairings making each visit unique. The food is always delicious.THE WINE! In the last year or so they have released their own house blend which we were very excited to try. Needless to say it did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious yet still gives the cozy vibes you desire from a wine bar. The staff is so nice, its evident that the owner really cares as you can tell a lot by the way the staff interacts not just with clients but with each other. When I come back I promise to add pictures to my review but after having yet another wonderful experience here I just needed to take a moment out and give them the kudos they deserve. We will definitely be back soon!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options and the staff/ kitchen are very accessible.Dietary restrictions: Chef and staff are extremely accommodating.“
“Love the updates that UL made to this space! Light and bright w new skylights. My favorite local chef, Jody Hunter, is at the helm making her signature delicious dishes. The Whipped Ricotta with Toasted Spice Oil, Pickled Onions, housemade Focaccia make me feel I am in Italy ❤️“
“Some of the absolute best food I've ever had. Fusilli bolognese and spicy rigatoni w/ shrimp are dynamite. Their newly renovated speakeasy is wonderful; they offer their full dinner menu either at the bar or at one of their comfy and intimate tables. The bartenders know what they're doing; their cocktails are delicious! Saturday nights they have a DJ that goes on at 10pm and really gets the crowd going. Highly recommended. Reservations are a must on Friday and Saturday for dinner.“
“No question, THE FINEST RESTAURANT in Westchester County, NY. Look you out to eat for a good meal and to be pampered with service. Micheline has the best food north of the City. Period, end of story. From the burger to the fish to the meat, the food is delicious. Always paired with the perfect wine. I'm a beaujolais guy but their selection is vast. My new favorite dish on the menu is the duck and the puree that comes with it. As an appetizer, I love their soups.“
“I kept seeing this place online so my husband and I decided to try it out. Their options at the bar are beyond expectations. The service was impeccable. We truly enjoyed our experience, and the food? Amazing... the calamari was phenomenal, the cacio e pepe balls i can eat all day, and my husband's favorite was this glazed pork chop. We'll be back!“
“Why aren’t more people talking about this place??!!!??My friends and I went tonight night for dinner and drinks because we saw they had the speakeasy and we love that vibe.We decided to sit at the bar. Immediately, the bartender, Steven/Stephen, starts telling us about the place and it’s rich history. He was so kind and helpful the whole night. He made sure he connected with us for a great experience. We ordered espresso martinis, because obviously. They were INCREDIBLE. You can get it with or without Baileys which was nice. We even got decaf espresso. The level of sweetness was just right. The foam was foaming. They were truly a treat. 10/10. I also ordered a Tiramisu martini which came with a lady finger on top. This was a little stronger but still nice and creamy with great foam. 9/10.The food was absolutely DIVINE. He told us the food is made fresh because they don’t have a freezer..?!?!!? Impressive if true. We started off with the Arancini because they are my religion. Mouthwatering. The rice was perfectly cooked. The crispy outside was amazing. The flavors melded together well. 10/10. I had the Spicy Rigs. It was made with homemade pasta…!!!!!!!!!! I am not a pasta girly but when it’s homemade…consider me a pasta girly. The sauce was smooth and creamy. The tomatoes really came through. I wish the Calabrian chilis poked through a little more for more of a spice. However, the flavors were still balanced. 9/10.The vibes were immaculate! We got there about 7. A DJ started playing music around 9:30. It turned into a club vibe which was shocking. The music was blaring so it did become hard to hear each other. The music was still good though. They do have HH Monday - Friday which seems like really great deals on drinks/food.I would 100000000% come back here and recommend it to anyone. I hope to try their sister restaurant soon, Hudson Prime Steakhouse, which is the only steakhouse in Irvington apparently!!!For me to live in Westchester all my life and to not have heard of this place before is crazy! It was so good.“
“Great spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. Stopped in last night while in the area. Brisket is one of their feature foods, so I had to try the 140 Grand sandwich. Nicely prepared brisket, thick slice on this signature menu item. Just the right touches of flavors. Pair with a featured tap beverage or signature cocktail and you have a great selection“
“Delicious, simply delicious. The food and atmosphere are the best. Magnificent place to spend a pleasant time in the company of the family enjoying a magnificent meal. 100% recommendable. The Service from Johnny, Drew and Paul is second to none! I highly recommend it and will definitely return. I suggest Pork Chops, delicious and perfectly cooked.“
“Terrific newcomer to Pleasantville, and really great to have Cajun / Creole food in the upper Westchester area. Just had one meal there so far but we ordered three different entrées two of which were terrific and the third was good, but nothing amazing. I got the seafood gumbo, which was really delicious . Very generous portions too. We also ordered an appetizer which was delicious, but I'm having trouble remembering what we got. I'm definitely planning to go back a couple more times and will update the review then with more specifics. Very nice and helpful wait staff.“
“A Delightful Italian ExperienceI recently dined at Granita Cucina & Bar and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was charming. I highly recommend it for an authentic taste of Italy. Can't wait to go back!“
“We travel from several towns away to eat here, it is that good! I very much appreciate being welcomed like old friends whenever we dine here, as well as the professional and friendly staff, delicious food, and my personal favorite, the chocolate martini! Freshly baked bread for the table, exquisite salads and appetizers followed by an array of entrees such as chicken fratelli (my favorite) or several seafood and pasta dishes. While there is usually a crowd, the acoustics are such that you can have a pleasant conversation at your table. There is a lovely seating area with floor to ceiling windows which feels like you are almost eating outdoors, as well as outdoor seating in season.“
“I celebrated my birthday with my family here yesterday. I can't praise everyone enough for the kindness, attentiveness and attention to detail. Mary had taken my information on the phone and all was prepared when we arrived. Her greeting and treatment of us made my guests think we were special indeed despite my never having met her before. My husband is in a wheelchair and special attention was paid to where we were seated so that all were comfortable. The table, near the front window, was spacious and comfortable with wonderful lighting. The food was excellent as it always is. We had two of the special appetizers, the asparagus soup and the artichokes which were very good. For dessert, management provided a chocolate bread pudding with a candle which we proceeded to devour. Didn't have time to take a picture, because we ate it so fast. By prearrangement, the bill never came. Mary simply pressed the receipt into my hand as she handed me my take "home bag". My children were truly surprised by the seamless exchange. They had planned to treat 5 stars are inadequate for this restaurant.“
“It is with great enthusiasm that I express my unequivocal satisfaction with the dining experience at VEGA Mexican Cuisine. The establishment exuded an unparalleled atmosphere that seamlessly combined warmth, authenticity, and a palpable cultural resonance. The gastronomic highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the birria tacos, an exquisite manifestation of culinary artistry. The meticulous preparation and blending of flavors in the birria achieved a harmonious symphony on the palate. Each bite unfolded a rich tapestry of savory nuances, complemented by the tender succulence of the meat, leaving an indelible mark of gastronomic delight. Moreover, the attention to detail in the presentation and service added a layer of sophistication to the overall dining experience. “Good place for "bar pizza". Tasty dough and great wood fired flavor. Burger and fries very good also. Menu tries to be a little fancy and should stick more to what makes the place special- burgers- pizza- onion soup - etc. Good atmosphere with comfortable seating and cozy bar feel. Bartenders personable and serve good drinks (nice pours).“
“Food was terrible. I didn’t enjoy the cheesesteak at all. So bad I almost ordered a second one as soon as I was done so no one else would have to suffer. If you can’t tell I’m kidding please order off the children’s menu. Pete’s has always had great food and still does. But don’t get the cheesesteak, those are for me.“
“great local place with delicious food. We met old friends we hadn't seen in a while and were able to sit and catch up without being harassed, but we were well attended to. The perfect kind of service. Dinner was yummy. This place is a keeper!“
“Wonderful experience yesterday. We were a party of more than 20 people, some in their 80s and 90s. The waitstaff was extremely patient and kind. The service was excellent. The food was great too! I had the shrimp fried rice YUM. Everyone loved their meals. They are right by The Jacob Burns Theater. I recommend Pubstreet without question.“
“Still one of my favorite restaurants, I hope it stays that way. Was there the other day, and my porcini rubbed steak was not quite as good as I remember. Cocktails are now basically $20 (same size though!). And I had to put down a credit card deposit for $25 per person to dine in a nearly empty restaurant, with a THREE DAY ADVANCE notice period, within which you're told you'll be charged regardless of reason for cancellation, which is extreme. Rigatoni Bolognese was great and service remains excellent. Portions all a good size. Will be back, but maybe on a weekday when we don't have to worry about the cancellation policy.“
“I ordered on Ubereats and wanted to say thank you for wrapping the sandwiches in foil to keep them warm!!! Everything was hot and fresh which has never happened for me :) they have great vegan options and the staff acknowledges what is vegan and what isn’t. One time I ordered onion rings and said I was vegan and they wrote a kind note letting me know they weren’t vegan but still sent the food which I appreciated. Atmosphere at the location is super cozy as well !!“
“If there were more stars I would add them. This place still has what so many now lack. Care for their customers. Just celebrated my birthday here and to say they went the extra mile is an understatement. They decorated the food DELICIOUS and served quickly. The owner checked on us personally. This place is AMAZING. THANK YOU for making my birthday brunch go so smoothly.“
“Sabor Costeno is a restaurant whose delicious aromas can often entice neighbors during the warm summer months. I stopped by for the first time at the top of the year and my only regret is not having visited sooner. The restaurant is decorated with vibrant colors, artwork, and festive ornaments that create a timeless atmosphere. It feels like a Rockland County staple. The festive music elevates the mood without overwhelming the senses. Together, the design and atmosphere offer a relaxing dining experience that feels like being invited to a friend’s home.I kept things simple with my order and selected the number 1 specialty dish on the menu. This included white rice, lentils, plantain, chorizo (sausage), pork, and some steak as well. I also enjoyed a blackberry mora smoothie with milk. The smoothie is delicious but the meal is a delight. I enjoyed it so much I had a tough time putting my fork down!Sabor Costeno offers a family friendly gourmet dining experience that I’d highly recommend.“
“Stopped here for dinner tonight with 3 kids under 5. The servers were super kind and attentive. The food and drinks were at our table at a reasonable time and everything was delicious. I really enjoyed their steak tacos and their red sangria. Definitely stop in if you're in the area.Kid-friendliness: Super patient staff and more than willing to help with messy kids“
“To make the experience a little fun you get a “ pass word “ sent to you the day of your reservation... a knock on the door, a door panel slides open and you say the magic word ! It starts the whole b experience! First blush as you walk in your imported to a different era with the wait staff in appropriate outfits and the walls and music surround you with that “ speakeasy “ feel! Our server, Karissa was spot on with her comfortable way she welcomed us and explained the specials. We shared some of the offerings since they listed some as half or full order and Brussel sprout sides was excellent. All in all we will go back for sure.“
“The food here is terrific, and after a long absence, we finally had an opportunity to have dinner there with friends. Since our table wasn't ready for a while, the bartender comped us with drinks while we waited, which was unexpected and gratifying - as well as a really nice thing to do!“
“Santiago was a great server, he knew the menu very well, he recommended almost everything on the menu to the point we let him chose our meals and it was all wonderful. Everything was great, the service, the food came out in a timely matter, there was water ready at the table to quench our thirst. For 4 people spent $200, that's with an appetizer 2 entrees. We had a kid who had fries and someone who had a soup special and buffalo wings (they ate before getting there). No cocktails, 4 sodas; that's gratuity included. Overall, the ambiance is great, right by the train, across from the waters, plenty of parking.“
“Although the appetizers took a while to come out, they were delicious. We got the sampler and asked for one beef and one chicken but got two beef empanadas. The real issue was the drinks. Four different drinks all tasted bitter like they had lime juice added. The atmosphere wasn't loud which was the major plus.“
“Great place. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with swiss cheese and fried egg. Others ordered a Burger and a pastrami sandwich. They have gluten free bread. Nathan our waiter was friendly and attentive. My wife ordered a chocolate milk shake and it was good. We ordered the mix fries with the sweet potato fries.“
“We had my sister’s rehearsal dinner at Hudson Anchor and it was lovely. Such a cute space, affordable, and not to mention delicious. Everyone was stuffed! Gary was extremely accommodating and responsive to assist with planning the event at his restaurant. My family and friends had a lovely time and I would absolutely love to go back once it gets a little warmer out and have drinks/dinner on the rooftop deck!“
“This place was amazingly fun. The only negative was the wait. We had 6pm Reservations, but did not get seated till an hour later. Due to prior guest arriving late. They made up for it with two rounds of free drinks, and a few free apps. Once we got seated, the chefs were super fun and the food was good. Will definitely be back.“
“Honestly a fantastic restaurant. The food was phenomenal. Drinks were strong and tasty. And our server, Stacey, was excellent. Definitely has the vibe of an upscale dining experience in the city, but with less pretention and better service than many places I have eaten with comparable quality and price point.I especially enjoyed how service was paced so that we could enjoy each course and not feel rushed to finish because another plate arrived. It really made the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable, even as the restaurant got busy. We will definitely be back.“
“Let's Meat is a little neighborhood gem! The food is delicious, atmosphere is great and the service is always friendly and attentive. Drinks are good too! For a casual evening, try to get a seat at the bar or in the bar area. It is a quick drive from Saddle River, USaddle River, Park Ridge, Woodcliff Lake, etc. Check them out!“
“Great burgers@ Jackie Bs! Service could have been better, there was a crowd of cyclists who overtook the place so there wasn't much they could do. I can't wait for the expansion to be done! Hit Jackie Bs for a bite and cocktail or takeout!!!“
“Very cute neighborhood. This cozy restaurant feels like you're in Mexico. Loved the wall paintings. The service was out of this world. These beautiful cocktails have to be made by a professional mixologist! I would just go there to taste all the delicious cocktails on the menu. I really loved this authentic Mexican food. The Queso Fundido, Chihuahua queso with chorizo was yummy. My favorite was the Tamales with shredded chicken. These were probably the best Tamales I've ever tried. Even just the Guacamole and Chips were excellent. The Steak Fajitas were also delicious. Must try!“
“Restaurant looks great, service was outstanding- shout out to Mariella! While our burgers were good we had no idea that brunch was being served- no mention of brunch or brunch menu online. Please update your website. Looking forward to coming back! Big thank you to Sean A who was very accommodating.“
“Great restaurants, we came for Happy hour had backed Clams and Arancini, both were delicious. We decided to stay for dinner and tried the Mushroom Risotto and Tuscan Stake Salad. Food was great size, very tasty, We will definitely be back again.“
“All I can say is this was an excellent experience, A nice interactive experience in Nyack, if you are looking for something to do besides eating at a Restaurant. Naomi is an excellent instructor and Mr. T has fantastic recommendations for drinks. The bar is fully stocked with a variety of choices. The music was pleasant and the atmosphere was soothing. Great place for a date night, or an evening with the girls.“
