“The weather was nice today. Sun was out, the sunroof was open. Went for a drive with my niece and stopped in to Sweet Parlor Ice Cream Shop in Hilllsborough for some sweet treats. I had not been through Hillsborough in a while and decided to check out was was new in town to me. This place was great! They had some unique offerings that I took an interest in immediately. We decided to try the U-Be My Bae Sundae and the Sweet Tea Bubble Waffle Sundae. They looked great, and more importantly tasted even better! Not overly sweet and the different textures of crunch, creamy, and soft bites were all present and quite pleasant. I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. Thank you Sweet Parlor for tending to my craving!“
“We had an amazing meal at AMA tonight. Sat at the bar and was able to chat with the owner. He told us about growing up in Italy and how he worked to renovate the restaurant himself.Everything we had was delicious. Arancini, Parma pizza, Cacio e Pepe, and homemade lemon gelato. The outside seating is gorgeous in the warm weather. Highly recommended!“
“Now that I don't work here anymore... I can be honest....kidding!Best staff ever and the ice cream is really good. My go-to is either the Lost in the Woods, Boro Blast, or H.E.S Mess fusion. But I do also LOVE the pumpkin cheesecake fusion in the fall! My favorite flavor has to be Lil Blue Panda so yummy so good. I am so sad I moved so I won't be able to leave my house and get some ice cream in 3 minutes :( Best ice cream shop in town!!!!!!!!!!!!! Highly recommend for everyone to try“
“Nestled within the Liberty Village (closed) footprint, Humdoo Ice Cream sits humbly amongst other local businesses that share Stangl Road that parallels the Black River & Western Railroad line. We were enticed to come here through a Facebook event, and glad that we made the trip.I will be remiss if I did not mention the scenic relevance of Flemington, and the beauty of it in conjunction with this review. Aside from the railroad, Flemington appears to be a beautiful town, where agriculture and suburbia clash together to bring about a diverse display of these sub-cultures of Americana. This really set the stage for visitors coming into Flemington to Humdoo.Stangl road, itself, is set apart, almost like a secret nook. Coming off Main Street, the thoroughfare looks like it would lead to a residential area, but is in fact quite the contrary. Local businesses emerge and line either side of the road as you turn onto it, with roadside parking that you don't have to parallel park into. Humdoo Ice Cream nestles amongst these businesses that create an outdoor, walking mall of sorts.Age, amongst other factors, really make us suckers for punishment when it comes to fancying and enjoying ice cream. Perhaps it was an "one-off-day" for us, but the frozen treats at Humdoo were amazing and delicious without the complimentary side effects. The flavors of the frozen cream were just right - not too sweet, but also not too milky if that makes sense. I believe the ice cream were only available as hard ice-cream (no soft-serve) and held great together (did not melt away as quickly as other ice cream typically do; perhaps it was the season that play apart in this as well). The flavor, texture, and consistency made Humdoo's frozen delights incredibly enjoyable. There was a decent range of flavor selections which were all unique in their own way - I imagine that you cannot go wrong with any of the flavors (although I highly recommend the White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle). There is an indoor restroom within the creamery, however seating is very limited. The business does accept credit card as a form of payment. It was delightfully surprising to find a local creamery open as early as February while still being in the winter season. We are definitely going to come back for more when the weather gets warmer to give it another go!“
“From the second we stepped foot inside this convenience store/ice cream shop/diner, we knew immediately we’d love it. As an avid pancake lover, I knew I had to get their massive pancake. Topped with warm, salty butter, every bite was delicious. The chocolate chips tasted like real chocolate, unlike many other diners around! I can’t wait to go back and try the pancake of the month next time!Parking: Fills up fast on the weekend“
“My sister and I visited Super Sundaes for the first time and it completely lives up to its stellar reviews. The owners, Jane and Steve, are community minded shop owners who serve up the best ice cream treats. They create beautiful and delicious cakes, unique sundaes, Dole pineapple whip that transports you to Disney World, and a gazillion other creative concoctions. We sampled both the hard and soft icecream and brought plenty home for when the craving strikes. A++++ experience. Thank you!“
“While as you like, it doesn't overwhelm with exotic flavors, The ice cream is a good quality, and its location in a walkable part of Raritan, with nearby access to the pedestrian bridge over the river makes it one of the better ice cream destinations in the area.“
“One of my favorite ice cream shops—period. Their flavors are rich and not overly sweet. Some of my favorites have been tiramisu, cotton candy, and of course, pistachio. Pistachio is the flavor I usually reserve for gelato, but it’s so good here that the flavor lasts several hours later. Their cotton candy literally tastes like frozen cotton candy, but somehow with a more intense flavor. It’s strange, and not the usually flavor of choice for me. But here, it’s worth it!If you drive between Philly and NY, it’s worth going out of your way for, and I can’t wait to be back.“
“Great customer service! This is a cute mom and pop frozen yogurt spot. My partner and I stopped by for a smoothie and the worker allowed my bf to put as much protein powder as he wanted and even gave us the extra smoothie free of charge. The worker had a great attitude and made our night :)“
“Rita’s is a great ice cream shop which also serves Italian ice! My favorite thing to get here is a cotton candy Italian ice with cotton candy custard on top. It’s good for the summer and it’s just a quick stop. No walking inside needed. You can take it on the go or eat outside at their outdoor tables. It makes my day sweeter every time I go here ❤️“
“This is an amazing carvels, I've never heard of carvels until i went to this exact one with my boyfriend. the lady is so sweet and got along with me and my boyfriend very well, she was open and honest, and spoke truthfully of the troubles that can come along working alone. she works very hard day to day and her ice cream is always the best. she is def one to visits. she's at least the only carvels i will go to!“
“Good ice cream and what a cute atmosphere. Happy they had some seasonal flavors. Some issues were I asked for soft serve and the machine was off. Since I couldn’t get my vanilla I figured u would get hard ice cream. I did not see it in the case. Same with chocolate.“
“Lots of different flavors, friendly staff and the ices and custards are delicious! Also good for recovering from surgery with - after getting tonsils and adenoids removed and then wisdom teeth out, Rita's has always made me feel better.“
“How have I never reviewed a place that I have been going to for YEARS?! Honestly the best ice cream around. I know many have their own opinions on other places within a good radius of Polar Cub, but nothing has ever topped them and I have been to them all! Good price, good portion sizes. I even used to get extras for the dogs (when I had dogs). Nice little seating area as well. My preference here is definitely a good strawberry sundae with Soft Vanilla Ice Cream. Not sure what they do with that, but it tastes amazing. The only downsides I can think of are the parking situation. If it's a busy day, expect to park on the side of Rt. 22. Also, it's cash only.. so be ready with cash on hand! Othe than that, it's a perfect little place!“
