“This is a hidden gem. I tried this restaurant out because so many satisfied customers. I tried the candied wing dinner which came with 2 sides; I had the yellow rice and string beans. I have say the wings were phenomenal!!!! The service is great and everyone that works are very welcoming. Everything was freshly made, so it pay to order and pickup. I look forward to trying the other menu items...to be continued 😋“

“My wife and I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience until recently. The last two times we visited, the service and food quality were not the same. When I walked in and greeted the young gentleman at the counter, he didn’t respond — just gave me a sour look without saying a word. It left a bad impression.

Also, even though we picked up the food within 20 minutes like they said, it was cold and the fries were stale.

We’ve always enjoyed Estrela da Serra BBQ and hope this was just a rough patch. Hoping for a better experience next time.“

“Being a truck driver you are very happy when you can get hot delicious food delivered to you at your convenience. The hot wings were great.They were delivered in a timely manner with great service as always. I’ve had the fried chicken in the past and it was also good but I must say the Buffalo Wings are now my new favorite.“

“The staff was wonderful but the brisket is incredible and tender. My hats off to the chef! Better than famous Dave’s brisket. They have these amazing Brussel sprouts that I could make a whole meal out of. I’ll be returning soon. FYI Everything is a la carte“

“Big Ed’s BBQ is a really great establishment. Amazing food and service. However, I think it should be against restaurants to make their customers pay a 18% gratuity automatically on the customers bill. The customer should choose their prefer tip. This should be illegal!!!“

“So for food we decided to order the corn bread, Mac & Cheese, Burnt ends and brisket cheesesteak.

The corn bread was awesome. So fluffy and full of flavor.

The Mac and cheese was delicious. I found myself adding a piece of burnt ends along with it, and you couldn’t go wrong.

The burnt ends were the star of the show. Incredible flavor and were nice and tender.

The only somewhat disappointing item was the cheesesteak. It was good but not something I probably would order again.

Overall good time - wish they had more tables or space, but it’s a nice lil spot“

They were busy but got our food out in a good quality time . Garlic shrimp was amazing !!! Dave the sauce for dipping your bread and even adding your rice for a nice twist !!! Will def come back ! “My wife and I ate at Ford's in late December 2024. Boy are we glad we did! After seeing the reviews here and elsewhere, it was very clear we had to come here while we were in the area, and now we know why! We had never experienced Portuguese BBQ before, and holy moley, was it delicious!\n\nI had a lunch-sized chicken and pork ribs combo, and my wife had the lunch-sized chicken and beef ribs combo. All of the meat was absolutely sensational, well cooked, seasoned well, and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The BBQ sauce that came with it was also tasty, but honestly we felt like we didn't even need it because the meat was so tender and juicy.\n\nThe fries and yellow rice were also very tasty.\n\nAnd even when you get the lunch-sized portions, you get TONS of food, like we both got more than enough for both lunch and dinner.\n\nThe gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal.\n\nI'm not sure when or if we'll be back in the Fords/Woodbridge area, but if we are, we will definitely put this on our "must do" list every time.“

“Jersey Joe’s is truly the best. They catered a large bbq I hosted this summer and did a phenomenal job, I’m still getting compliments on the food even now. This was the first large event I was hosting at my new house, and I was worried I bit off more than I could chew, but jersey Joe’s made everything so much easier for me. I didn’t have to worry at all, they took care of set up and clean up, they packed up all the extra food and even put it in my fridge for me, and all my guests raved about how kind all the workers were. “this AYCE KBBQ spot is now part of my family’s rotation. the meat is always good and we love that they’re adding new items to the menu. we always get the cube steak, cast iron steak, pork belly and pork jowl. the staff cooks and cuts the meat for you and are attentive so that nothing burns. they also have some great sides like the beef soup, crab soup (must try if you like crab) and popcorn chicken. great spot to up your protein intake.“

“This place is a hidden gem near EWR (Newark Airport). The owner and his extended family have a number of roles in the biz, and are very welcoming and excited to meet new folks. A taste of Portugese charm, with a focus on the best Bronzino and RibEye you can find outside of the major chains. The wine selection is great, the drinks are poured nice and the food was excellent. IF you have a layover at EWR and time to kill, hop on over. If you live in NYC or in NJ - come try it out. You won't be disappointed.“

“My girlfriend and I went last night. On our way we stopped at the gas station adjacent to the restaurant. As I rolled down the window all I could smell is the exhaust from the grill and my stomach immediately started to grumble. Although we have been many many times, our go to is the combo plate of a half chicken and ribs. My girlfriend is not a fan of garlic. Sometimes the rice can be a little garlicky but everything there is delicious.“
