“my sister in law brought us to Gen Sushi and Hibachi. The food was amazing from the edamame appetizer to the miso soup to the fresh sushi and the teriyaki chicken. The four of us were all duly impressed with the food and the service!! Dinner started with warm hand towels provided by our kind and efficient server. Our food was not only served in a timely manner but the presentation was extremely impressive.
As we were finishing we noticed the chef preparing a sushi feast. The boat of sushi designed for a group of regular customers was incredible. One woman told us she drove 45 minutes just to have the fresh sushi. That is a high compliment!!
If you aren’t a fan of sushi the menu offers many other options. We will definitely visit again when we are in town.“

It is not often that you find a restaurant without any criticisms, but then I found Blu. The dining and take-out experiences are how all food establishments should be run. “I had an amazing experience at Masago Sushi in Ridgewood, NJ. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The prices are also such a big factor since its so low for such big portions. But what really stood out, was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick without ever feeling rushed. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. I would like to acknowledge the service of Ashley. She was so nice and really made us know that we didn’t make a mistake going here.

The atmosphere is also a big plus! Warm, clean, and relaxing, with a modern touch that makes it perfect for a casual lunch or a nice dinner out. You can tell they put care into creating an inviting dining environment.

“Enjoyed a really good dinner meal 🥘 at this restaurant - MATSUYA Japanese Steakhouse in Saddle Brook, NJ. I started off with an Avocado 🥑 and Crab 🦀 Meat Salad with Wasabi Dressing. “We had a really great experience here! Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The miso soup was warm and comforting, with a nice, balanced taste, a perfect start. The green tea was also excellent and complemented the meal well.

The sushi was definitely the highlight. The Pink Lady roll was fresh, light, and perfectly balanced, while the Volcano roll was absolutely amazing rich, flavorful, and just the right amount of indulgent with a delicious sauce on top. You can tell they use good quality ingredients and take care in how the dishes are prepared.

“I ordered the two-roll sushi combo with a California roll and a salmon avocado roll, and both were incredibly fresh and delicious. I also got the green salad with ginger dressing, which tasted so fresh and flavorful. The shrimp shumai were honestly addictive. They also included veggie gyoza and miso soup on the house, and both were delicious as well. Everything tasted fresh and well made, and I will definitely be returning to Kame Sushi.“

“I am a local resident of Garfield. I enjoy and appreciate Sushi Boy when I can get in. It is a quiet and beautiful venue when you have the opportunity to eat in. The decor is wonderful, as is the food. The prices are great as well. My only complaint is that I have attempted to eat in twice, only to find the doors locked both times. Once an hour before closing, the second an hour and a half before closing. I would rather give my money to a local business than something available through Uber eats. Still a great venue, and although I understand why they would close early, it is unfortunate to show up at their door and then have to walk away.“

I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.
