“Came here with local friends and loved it. It’s our first time in St. John’s, and Peaceful Loft’s vegan menu was a perfect change of pace from some of the heavier NL dishes we’ve been trying. It’s a small family operation— the gentleman who served us and his wife in the kitchen own the place— so stop by when you’re not in a rush.
As soon as we were sat, we were given lovely squash soup, two house-made sauces, a tasty chunky topping of TVP and veggies, and bottomless green tea, and THEN the menu to order. The main meal took a little while— again, one-chef kitchen— and the owner kept apologizing, but we were a-okay. We’d already had a whole appetizer! He also gave us mandarin oranges while we waited, and when I told him how excited I was to have some fresh fruit, he gave me two more. 😁 The menu items were all generous portions with plenty of veggies. They made very sure our friend with a nut allergy was taken care of as well.
It was such a great meal, super affordable, with warm and friendly service, and we might never have known if our friends hadn’t suggested it. Definitely recommended!”

“We stayed for 3 nights for our daughter's wedding. Our room was first class with w.c., large bath and large walk-in shower. It was quiet, facing the rear of the building. The front pedestrian way can be a bit noisy with revellers. Spotlessly clean, with aircon and fridge. The restaurant offered a varied evening menu, and the cuisine was superb. Likewise, a good choice for breakfast, and large portions. I had the 2 egg breakfast, and the eggs were cooked precisely to my instructions. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit, and I look forward to my third.”

The cake was amazing, it was moist , icing was not sweet & it looked beautiful on the plates . We had the soup of the day - butternut squash. Perfect on a cool October afternoon. We then had the Enchilada. Stuffed full of flavour. My only ask would have been to have an authentic, fresh, spicy salsa option.

The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. The price for some of the add-on options are a little high, but otherwise the actual item prices are very reasonable.”
