“A restaurant operated by an older couple. Extremely good service but very limited seating inside. Takeout is a good option. The hours are not exactly those written on happy cow (opens at 12:30 today for example). The food is really great and full of veggies for a reasonable price. Soup and sauces are offered on the house. The host also offers a clementine ( or a tangerine, not sure) for dessert. Great place to visit if in Newfoundland.”

“Cole Gillingham is the best fast food working I have ever encountered in my life. I may only be 15 years old, but I know a damn good worker when I see one. And I have never met someone who was so kind and happy to be serving us at 10:30pm on a Wednesday night. I look forward to paying him a visit every week. Thank you Cole for your amazing work! “We stayed for 3 nights for our daughter's wedding. Our room was first class with w.c., large bath and large walk-in shower. It was quiet, facing the rear of the building. The front pedestrian way can be a bit noisy with revellers. Spotlessly clean, with aircon and fridge. The restaurant offered a varied evening menu, and the cuisine was superb. Likewise, a good choice for breakfast, and large portions. I had the 2 egg breakfast, and the eggs were cooked precisely to my instructions. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit, and I look forward to my third.”

“My sister and I were there for the first time last Friday and for sure can’t wait to go back again. What a wonderful place for everyone but especially for the sixty’s people. I have so much to say… and all good. We were blown away! St. John’s certainly needed you. We had the fish and chips and we rolled out of there. The portion size was like no other and so fresh and flaky. Like it was just caught from the ocean. The place was so clean and nicely decorated. Our server Mike was a pro. He knew his job and made you feel as though you mattered. Even the owner Terry- Lynn came over to greet us. They are doing well there and I can see why. Everything was great…not a single thing to complain about. Oh and the music…yes…turn it up…it certainly brought us back in time. Thank-you for everything!!!”

“Most of the menu is vegan so vegans will be happy here. Only cheese and sour cream are not vegan. The « enchilada » (with non vegan cheese) was delicious, so was the « Fries dressing gravy » (vegan). Highly recommend!”
