“Me and the family went here for dinner on a Saturday. It wasn’t too busy but we made a reservation because there were 5 of us.The location is on the smaller side, but it’s nice inside. The food was really good! We got the popcorn shrimp roll, the teriyaki chicken bowl, the crab salad, some Yaki soba pan fried noodles and a few other sushi rolls. The price and portions were decent. The only reason I am giving the service 4 stars is because they move so slow. They were very nice and made sure we had what we needed, but again- very slow.I will probably go here again to try more things on the menu.“

“Very great place! It’s little hole in the wall that we found by a post online and we’re super happy to have tried it! The inside is super charming with posters and photos about everywhere that they possibly could be placed. You order by checking off which rolls you would like on a given menu, so this is great for all you introverts. The rolls were so good and STUFFED with the fillings! Definitely gonna come back. I wish I took pictures of the rolls, but we were starving and they looked delicious!! Almost forgot too, 50% off the sushi rolls!!“

“This was seriously some of the best sushi I've had since coming back! I wish it weren't in a food court, but the price was reasonable, especially for the quality. They were happy to accommodate an allergy too. It's fresh and delicious!“

“Excellent sushi. Some of the best sushi I've had in Albuquerque. Highly recommend Sushibucks. Also has a few parking spaces next to the restaurant. It's pretty easy parking in the evenings. (Parking would be difficult during the day when UNM is in session, I suspect.).“

“Had birthday dinner with family on weeknight. New Hibachi area super nice. Asked waiter and chef if they could do gluten free and the response was yes! They separated the fried rice, veggies and my meal (used same spatulas though which is ok for me, but I'm sure you could ask). Do you know how long it's been since I've had fantastic fried rice?? A loooong time! Absolutely no reaction, no illness. Last time I ate at a hibachi grill I got very ill because I didn't know at the time that the first ingredient in soy sauce is wheat. Outstanding service, outstanding accommodation of an allergy, and outstanding food. Will definitely be going back, maybe for Mother's Day!!!“

“I tried this place after reading an article that is the best sushi in New Mexico and after going I can't argue (though I haven't tried every sushi joint in the state, I've tried plenty). A great indicator is the quality of something simple like a California roll, which is perfection here. I've been very happy with the sashimi too. My kids all love it ask to come here all the time. It's probably a little pricier than the norm in Albuquerque, but the quality is well worth it. I could do without all the screens/TVs in the place, but I'm easily distracted, some people probably would appreciate that. They also serve ramen which looks delicious (and I've been told by friends it is). I haven't ordered any yet because I love the sushi too much, but if someone in your party doesn't dig sushi it's great they have other solid options.“

“I had a fantastic experience at Sakura Sushi! The restaurant is impeccably clean, which immediately set a positive tone for my visit. The service was remarkably quick, ensuring that I didn't have to wait long for my meal. What truly stood out, though, was the consistently high quality of the food. Each dish I tried was delicious and expertly prepared, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend Sakura Sushi to anyone looking for excellent sushi and impeccable service.“

“I’ve only ever ordered delivery via Door Dash, but every time I’ve ordered, everything is packaged so well and consistently delicious! Their ramen is some of the best broths I’ve had in Albuquerque, and their sushi seems to be great quality. I like ordering the Set B with a mix of sushi, sashimi, and part of a roll. Their Balloon Fiesta roll is delicious, too. I’ve tried both flavors of ramen, too, and they’re fantastic—just depends on what I want on each day lol.“

“I've been going to Sakura Sushi for years. I love everything about my experience. I love the variety of food, and the quality of sushi is fantastic.Dietary restrictions: They also offer gluten free options, and can provide gluten free soy sauce. Their tempura is made with rice flour, though it is cooked in a fryer that also handles gluten.“

“Huge portions at a very affordable price. The Spicy Tuna hand roll was bigger than my hand! The Nigiri and Cali Roll were also much larger than the normal sushi I typically get a sushi places. The staff was also super friendly. I highly recommend, go check them out!“

“I’m no expert in sushi so I’ll leave the food reviews to others. But the service and care here is excellent. From the moment you sit down you’re served a delicious miso soup. The two women who were serving tables were so quick and attentive. And the food was beautifully presented. Thanks for a lovely evening.“

“First time in a long time, I finally got my "extra" unagi (eel) roll! Ichiban has a superb unagi roll! It's difficult for me find a good sushi restaurant that actually gives you enough freshwater eel. But this sushi-ya is super generous with my fave dish! I am definitely coming back for that super eel roll! My mom got the yakisoba and that was actually pretty good too! The noodles were a bit too soft/overcooked but the entire dish was deliciously seasoned, with veggies perfectly al dented! 10/10 will return!!“

“We tried out this location after driving by so many times. Boy am I sad I didn't come by sooner. Everything was delicious and promptly made. It also came with miso soup. My son loved the Takis roll, the ABQ roll was giant and my favorite. We'll certainly be back for more. Thank you so much!“

“Large portions of delicious food! The wait was longer than a takeout but we'll worth it. My wife and I shared a sushi roll and had to take most of the food home as leftovers because there was so much! The people are friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended.“

“We used to live in Torrance, California, where there are so many great authentic Japanese restaurants big and small. So we know what authentic Japanese food tastes like. Last night, for the first time, we took a chance and ate at Nagomi here in Albuquerque. Wow!! The food was absolutely great! I had no idea that Albuquerque, out of all places, has such a great, authentic Japanese eatery, owned and operated by a Japanese family. We had Chef's Bento Box which was superb. The one I ordered had grilled mackerel which was absolutely out of this world, succulent and tasty. This Bento Box also had great assorted tempura as well as tuna sashimi and California rolls. Everything was so fresh! This is not a fancy restaurant. It's very casual, yet cozy. I highly recommend Nagomi. The owner talked to us after we ate. He was so friendly and thanked us for coming!!“

“I ordered the shrimp fried rice and the wontons.Shrimp fried rice was pretty good. Wontons tasted fresh and everything had a good flavor.Waitress was nice, i believe there was only one waitress. It was empty with only one other person eating . They did not have sushi, which was obviously displayed so no issues.I was pleasantly surprised because ive heard that the past restaurants at this location were really bad I would definitely go again. Most dishes were under 15 dollars which was nice.“

“I love this venue. Impeccable design and attention to detail. You really get the sensation of the South Pacific. I ordered the Kung Paso chicken (it's made with cashews here). A prickly pear mojito and my husband and I shared the appetizer tempura. I should have stuck with a regular mojito, not that this prickly pear was not tasty, I just prefer the original flavor. It was pretty , too! See the pic. Tempura was done well, although the sweet potato was a little too raw and hard. Onions, broccoli, red and green peppers were super. The shrimp was meh. Kung pao was tasty but a little heavy on the fish sauce. At least that what it tasted like to me. If you don't lie that flavor, you may want to ask that it not be used. They suggested on the menu that you can ask, if I remember correctly. My husband had the teriyaki chicken. He ate it all. So must have been good. Service was efficient, friendly and calm. I'll be back!“

“Delicious sushi and miso soup! I had the volcano roll and it was amazing. Lots of fresh fish and green chile! Not too much rice! I think you can tell from the photo how perfect it was. Cute little delicious orange cut up like a cat at the end!Parking: Some free spaces in the small parking lot next to the restaurant, and additional metered street parking.“
