“Carlsbad was described to me as a food desert. So, when our first evening there, after exploring the NP, my husband was bored of the hotel Happy Cow to the rescue. I actually saw Yellow Brix on our drive in. Brightly lit with lots of people eating outdoors under festive lightning. The interior isnt as festive, but still nice. Per another reviewer, ask for the Vegan menu. There are only 2 entree options, tacos or burritos, plus salads. We got both entrees which have the same ingredients, comes with fries. The filing is a sautéed vegetable mix of broccoli zucchini squash mushrooms & bell pepper. We thought they tasted great with the accompanying beans, guacamole & pico. Wait time was 40 minutes on a Sunday, but this is the only place in town I'd trust to a sit down meal. Updated from previous review on 2024-11-28“

“Our first time today. We had a super lunch. Started out with the tea being fresh. Salsa and chips were tasty, not too spicy, shrimp tacos, perfectly balanced with a nice slaw and avacado. Pork asado extremely flavorful yet not too hot! Will definitely go back again!“

“Went down today from Roswell hoping to make it back before school, didn’t make it in time but it was well worth it!! I got the breakfast quesadilla and the brisket nachos. Hands down the best quesadilla I’ve ever had! Brisket nachos were also amazing! If you’re in town…even if you’re not, I highly recommend stopping by and getting something, customer service is just as good as the food! 10/10 gonna have to make that drive for it again!“

Wonderful!
I got the smoked turkey breast salad . Meat was tasty and delicious.
The fresh cut French fries like one we’ve ever had! Wedge curly and crisp on outside and soft on inside.
Fried okra perfect
Sliced brisket tender and perfect.
Highly recommend Danny’s Place!!!

“The best green chile cheeseburger in the state of New Mexico. The bun was perfectly toasted, covered in diced onions, a healthy stealthy hot green chile blend, melt cheese and a decent sized patty. They off the San option in the “flip” a burger in a grilled tortilla, with beans, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The soft tacos were corn, lightly grilled with butter & filled with a copious blend of lettuce, cheese, & ground beef, served with chili con queso, for dipping of course. If you are a vegetarian, no problemo, they make everything to order, and use fantastic produce. This restaurant is worth the drive to Carlsbad New Mexico, from anywhere! I ate there twice in an hour.“
