“The food here is delicious!!! Atmosphere was enjoyable too. The only issue we had was with the service. We saw our server once to take our drink order then our food order. We didn't see her again until she brought us the check. Our drinks were empty for 1/2 our meal. So, great food; lousy service.“

“Speaking and reading Spanish will help if you visit. I got the chicken tacos. I could not believe how small they were how little chicken on them. At least you get 4. The chicken was super delicious just wish there was more of it. Also tried the coconut shrimp. It was decent. It came with salad, rice and mashed potatoes. No alcohol is served here but they said you can bring your own.“

“Food was delicious. Steaks were done perfectly. I gave three stars because the shrimp in the shrimp pasta was seared in shell. I don't want to dig my fingers in my pasta to shell shrimp. I gave 2 stars for atmosphere because we had to endure a huge heaping portion of cackle. I want everyone to enjoy themselves while out but please don't force others to endure over loud, drunken cackling during shots.“

“We visited Carlsbad and knew we were coming here after a long day of hiking. The atmosphere and staff was so friendly and they were very helpful! Sad to see they weren’t selling alcohol currently, but once we learned why, we were happy to continue to support a local business! We got the wings and a margharita pizza and it was delicious!! I’m not a big pizza fan, but I loved theirs!! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and I had always intended to leave a review…BUT THEN, 15 minutes after they closed, I realized I left my purse hanging on a chair and we were leaving town the next morning. Tiffany was so kind to respond to my message on their FB and meet me at the brewery to give me my bag wayyy after they were already closed. She was SO KIND and saved me a huge hassle. Not to mention she was the one who helped serve us. She was constantly cleaning tables, serving customers and taking their orders. You can tell she is committed to her job. So AWESOME JOB Guadalupe Brewing Co. ?? Highly recommend yall!! Would give 10 ⭐️ if I could!“

“I moved to Carlsbad about six months ago and this is one of the best restaurants I have visited so far. Both husband and I had the prime rib with loaded baked potato, which were both very good, and the potato was truly loaded with tons of butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon. The real standout was the incredible salad bar. It has a huge variety of choices and everything was fresh and constantly being refreshed during the dinner hour. We are still talking about the salad bar and planning to return in the near future. I didn't have high hopes because it is located in a motel, but was very pleasantly surprised by our experience. Most of the food in Carlbad has been mediocre at best and I'm happy to have found this gem!“

“Looked this place up on Google and decided to give it a try. It's definitely the best choice. They don't speak the best English, but I was able to get my order in with my little bit of Spanish I know and her experience with English. The burritos were so delicious and the perfect portion. I will continue to go here every time I visit. Loved it!!“

“Service is warm and Friendly, Atmosphere is what you expect when you walk into a Bar B Que spot. The smell of some good Que as soon as you get out of your car just surrounds you. This is definitely a great place to eat and All the food is on point. Don't forget to try the mustard sauce when you eat here. “Sushi was pretty good. I gave a 4 because the seaweed was super fishy. Onion soup starter was great with little crispy onions. Tuna sushi was huge pieces. Spicy tuna roll had a great flavor with a crispy outer coating. Vegetable roll was good, but seaweed was too fishy. Service was great.“

“Went for lunch. The pulled pork was very good and juicy!! The brisket tasted good but was kind of dry and chewy. The mashed potatoes and potato salad both tasted homemade and were both also really good. Loved that we can get to-go cups for drinks! 4 stars for the brisket being dry and no beer. If you're looking to have a drink with your meal there's no alcohol. The service was great!! Also the prices were very reasonable.“

“initial service was slow. set in bar, which had its own wait staff, who appeared busy. my impression was that bartender could have done more. plato locos had a little of everything and it was delicious. they had a sandwich board sign out in entrance that mentioned a couple of drinks specials, but I found out after the fact that it didn't apply at that time when I was dining. it could have been an honest mistake, but I saw it as being deceptive/false advertising. waitress couldn't/wouldn't honor the price, so my dissatisfaction was reflected in the tip. I had ordered a second drink, but they were so slow to get it that I cancelled it (again, the bartender should have done her job, instead of standing there chatting with waiter while she sucked down her own beverage). the water sucks in Carlsbad, and although the restaurant supposedly filters their water, it still tastes like dirt. they need to filter it twice, assuming they did at all.Parking: their lot appears to butt up to another lot, so there's plenty, at least before they get busy. there is a couple parking spaces up front marked for motorcycles.“

“For being extremely short staffed, the food was good and the staff was nice. It did take around 20 minutes to get from speaker to window and maybe 5 minutes more at the window to get our food. Honestly when we do go to Blake's I just expect to wait and compared to how the place use to be its made a considerable jump in service. Thank you to the workers that do take a little pride in the job, Carlsbad appreciates you.“
