“Waitresses and wait staff are not trained properly they are not familiar with what is on the menu and what comes with orders as far as sides and a la cartes other than that the food is excellent here salsa and chips however it should like every other restaurant be complimentary much too expensive for the little you“
“Outdoor picnic tables and New Mexican people enjoying this wonderful New Mexican food! I only wish that EL PARASOL had an Albuquerque restaurant ❤️❤️❤️ carne adovada was red hot and their tostada was packed high with all the good stuff.“
“Nailed it! The carne adovada at La Cocina in Española is as good as any that I have had in New Mexico. It is brick red, with a strong chile flavor without bitterness. The pork is very tender without being mushy and full of pork flavor. The was a very mild heat level, and I prefer hotter, although the flavor did not suffer much from the lack of heat. It is served with rice that was wetter than most restaurants, but was acceptable and a good accompaniment to the chile, as were the refried beans and cheddar cheese. The sopapilla was a gigantic triangular pillow, and had a sweet pastry flavor with just the right amount of chew to it. The desserts looked good, but I was too full to eat anything else, so I will save that experience it for next time. Service was great and the restaurant is clean and comfortable with a solid NM vibe.“
“Hands down the best margarita & tacos I've ever had. Friendly, family service (literally - family members of the founders work in the restaurant) and so many delicious food options. I've never had anything here I didn't absolutely love. The recipes are flavorful, the ingredients fresh, and the service prompt. The house margs are to die for and should not be missed. For extra fun, order a swirl which is a margarita mixed with sangria. The beef tacos are award winning for a reason. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The borcheta was tender meat with veggies served flaming. Save room for sopapillas and homemade fruit preserves (apple is my favorite!) or honey for a sweet treat to finish the meal.“
“Yum! I haven't tried New Mexican regional food before, so I went right to that section on the menu and thought the sopapilla sounded delicious. It was! Piping hot. Just the right amount of cheese to make it gooey without being gross. Tender beef inside. They didn't even bring me a knife -- everything was tender to the fork.“
“Stopped in during a day trip. So glad we did! The Enchilada Trio was AMAZING! Can't choose from the 3 which one was best. The BLT was loaded with thick bacon alongside a mountain of perfectly cooked crinkle fries. We will DEFINITELY be back!“
“I’m not going to lie. We came from Albuquerque to try this place out. Well. We were planning to drive way north. But made a detour to go here. And it did not disappoint my hangry self. The burger was great. Like an in-n-out burger. Kind of. Definitely closer to that than anything at McDonald’s or bk or Wendy’s. Anyway. Corn dog was good too.Kid-friendliness: Sure. Like a McDonald’s inside.“
“Second time in a week eating here. SAME GREAT SERVICE! Got the menudo and tripes tacos while the wife had steak tacos and we also tried the ceviche. Everything was soo good and fresh. Really sad it took us two years to find this gem. Will certainly be back again and again and again.“
“I am from El Paso/Juarez.Been living here for 5 months. This is the first place that isn't New Mexican Mexican food. It's actually just Mexican food. And that's amazing.Barbacoa, menudo, and licuados. They also got them good good Mexican chips!“
