“We were traveling from AZ to OK! Had been on the road since 3:30 a.m. I went on line to see about a good restaurant and found this one! The closed sign was up, but we didn’t see it! They seated up anyway! ? Martha was a very, very good waitress and was so nice! Made our lunch very special! We only come thru once a year, but we will be back! Chips and salsa were the best we’ve ever had followed by taco salad and quesadillas! Servings were very generous and we had quesadillas to take with us!“

“We stopped in Roswell on our way to Albuquerque. After a moment at the Visitor Center for our picture with the aliens, it was time for some authentic Mexican food for lunch.
A search for where the locals eat took us to Matin’s Capital Cafe. And it was right across the street from the plaza.
The hot sauce was spicy & fresh. We chose Pollo Verde & Asado in red sauce. Both were delicious - spicy and quite a generous serving with rice & beans.
The staff is friendly and courteous. Makes us feel like we were locals.

“Popular place in Roswell. I make a lot of refried beans, so I need a good salsa verde and a good tortilla to enjoy my toasted bean and cheese burritos. They have both. I do prefer Sonora style tortillas (very thin and made with lard) but this place is good enough. I hope they offer Sonora style tortillas soon.“

“I just have to say that that Popo's Restaurant offers very authentic Mexican food I have always enjoyed coming here they recently lost a family member dear friend of Roswell and owner of Popo's but the family continues to share his contribution and food service to the community and overall I love the experience I love the food and for me knowing Popos for many years and his family continuing to serve Roswell with his name still attached to this restaurant makes it platform of Roswell offers being a local I never hesitate to stop and grab something to go is very affordable and the food is excellent I just want to thank you“

“I had the Super Big Breakfast Burrito with ham and green chillies. I like sloppy burritos, but I like clean looking ones even more. When I opened this one, the eggs looked so good and clean, and the other items in it were very fresh. It was not greasy at all. I added the roasted salsa and the green salsa to it and it was soooo gooood!!! My friend got hers with asada meat and she keeps talking about how great her burrito was, too.“

I was googling mexican food restaurants and this one popped up, read the reviews and decided to give them a try. Let me tell you!!!!!! The BEST, BEST, BEST Birria Quesa tacos ever!!!!! (I'm picky when it comes to these) Full of flavor!! I also ordered the asada fries and they were also delicious!! “Asado Burrito is EXCELENT! Tortilla is perfectly supple and homemade style (idk if they make or are made local) people who said otherwise must have hit a bad day. They were super nice and quick, only problem is it is too close to where I work I may be there way too often!“

“Food is great. People are very nice. Service and atmosphere are lower rated only because it is cafeteria style. It is near the airport so on top of good food it is super convenient for the air races. Prices seem very cheap but that may be because I am in an overpriced area. Highly recommend for breakfast on the go.“

“First time trying NMBC, it was pretty good, burritos are a decent size. The salsa and green chili wasn’t very hot at all, although it had a good flavor. One of two ladies in the kitchen wasn’t so nice, but still got our food lol. The other lady was super friendly though. Would stop here again.“

“I came in early asking for Shrimp Cocktail. I was not disappointed. The dish was a cool, refreshing mix of shrimp, avocado cucumber, jalapeno, cilantro, spices and tomato juice. Lime, pico de gayo, and onion were served on the side. No carbs, No suger. This was perfect for a hot day.
