“My husband and I came by for a late lunch after a medical procedure. I hadn’t eaten in two days and my nurse recommend this cafe. I was loopy and struggled with the word Tampiqueno! The server was patient and polite. The food was out of this world and the coffee so delicious, no cream necessary. We arrived at 2. They close at 3. They made us a fresh pot of coffee. All the food was fresh and flavorful. Im dreaming of the next trip to Roswell just to dine here again.“

“We were traveling from AZ to OK! Had been on the road since 3:30 a.m. I went on line to see about a good restaurant and found this one! The closed sign was up, but we didn’t see it! They seated up anyway! ? Martha was a very, very good waitress and was so nice! Made our lunch very special! We only come thru once a year, but we will be back! Chips and salsa were the best we’ve ever had followed by taco salad and quesadillas! Servings were very generous and we had quesadillas to take with us!“

From the moment we walked in, the customer service was outstanding. Everyone made us feel right at home, more like family than customers. The conversations alone made the visit memorable, especially hearing the gentleman share the history of Roswell and talk about local happenings around town.

The food was delicious from start to finish, and the chips and salsa were truly “out of this world.” We were also told we had to try the sopapillas, so we took two to go, and they absolutely hit the spot later on.

If you find yourself in Roswell, you really can’t go wrong stopping here. Highly recommended!“

“I like to come for tamales in the mornings and tortillas in the afternoon everything is very tasty and the tortillas are homemade service is great in the morning is a woman and a man, very friendly they are and later in the afternoon are two younger men, they are also very nice and they are hilarious, working with them seems like a blast!“

“Amazing food and the staff was wonderful. We came for a week vacation through New Mexico and Popo’s was hands down the best food we had for our trip. The staff was so friendly, the food was perfect. Best salsa and green chile. Truly appreciated the Granddaughter taking the time to tell us her Grandfather owned the place and how the family worked there together. “I had the Super Big Breakfast Burrito with ham and green chillies. I like sloppy burritos, but I like clean looking ones even more. When I opened this one, the eggs looked so good and clean, and the other items in it were very fresh. It was not greasy at all. I added the roasted salsa and the green salsa to it and it was soooo gooood!!! My friend got hers with asada meat and she keeps talking about how great her burrito was, too.“

“Asado Burrito is EXCELENT! Tortilla is perfectly supple and homemade style (idk if they make or are made local) people who said otherwise must have hit a bad day. They were super nice and quick, only problem is it is too close to where I work I may be there way too often!“

It is near the airport so on top of good food it is super convenient for the air races. Prices seem very cheap but that may be because I am in an overpriced area. Highly recommend for breakfast on the go.“

“First time trying NMBC, it was pretty good, burritos are a decent size. The salsa and green chili wasn’t very hot at all, although it had a good flavor. One of two ladies in the kitchen wasn’t so nice, but still got our food lol. The other lady was super friendly though. Would stop here again.“

“I came in early asking for Shrimp Cocktail. I was not disappointed. The dish was a cool, refreshing mix of shrimp, avocado cucumber, jalapeno, cilantro, spices and tomato juice. Lime, pico de gayo, and onion were served on the side. No carbs, No suger. This was perfect for a hot day.
