Server masterfully struck the balance between checking in on us and letting us enjoy our food very well, and was supremely friendly.

I liked the QR code payment system they put in place. Very good for people with social anxieties.

Seating and table space per person was ample and they had a decent variety of chairs, booths, and hybrid seating options.

Large portions, and priced about the same as other places around the area for breakfast food.

“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

Walking back to my car, I noticed this cute spot, Portland Street Creperie and decided to check it out. So glad I did! I’ll definitely be back. The owner and his staff member of many years greeted me with a warm welcome and good suggestions. It was a bonus to discover Neil shares a love of Kraftwerk! I’m so jealous that he will be seeing them for the third time 🤦‍♀️. Oh, and the crepes - fabulous! Definitely recommended!“

“Some of the better food I have had in Halifax.!I was with someone whi has travelled the whole world and she thought it was outstanding. Top notch service, highly adaptable and friendly but professional. The halibut cheeks are extraordinary. Not all fine food is found in the boardwalk. I would say that i prefer this over some of the higher priced restaurants. Anthony Bourdain would have gushed over thus place I think.“

We booked out the whole restaurant and they did just what we hoped for: Maritime hospitality, wonderful, genuine service and knock-your-socks off food. The team from across Canada went bananas over the Crobster sandwich. The special welcome from the owners was a lovely touch. “Every now and then you fined a place that blows your mind. This place is special. If you find yourself in Dartmouth you must stop here. You get a feel right away when you walk in that your home not only with food but beer. Then you are greeted by staff that are super nice and kind. They stop to chat they make sure everything is to your liking. So many beers to choose from. 20 micro brews on the list. Then the food came. Oh My the food. So freakin delicious ?. And at a fair price. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you are visiting Halifax just take the ferry over it's a short walk from the dock. “What an amazing night! The small plates are thoughtfully executed and bursting with flavour and texture. Everything we had was 10/10.

The themed cocktail menu is unique and creative and they were well balanced and complex.

The wine list, we learned is curated with wines that are exclusive to the restaurant and imported by their sommelier. Bonus, we were there on a Wednesday and all bottles were $20 off. We had never had a wine from Czech Republic before!

“My new favorite sushi place in the city , a little hidden view from the street you come down some stairs and just order everything at the counter and sit after ( aka the servers wont take your order at the table but they do deliver the food at your table ) you pay upfront , it’s practical unless you have free room for desert.

We sat and the ambiance is like manga style with a lot a books in Japanese around us , dont get fooled by the decoration because the food is AMAZING trust me I have been to many fancy Japanese restaurants and this one is just as delicious ! We ordered a little bit of everything my personal opinion on the hot sushis ( smoke salmon ) not my cup of tea but my date loved it . And the seaweed salad very tasty, we almost got back again to the restaurant 2 days later because we loved it so much .

“There is a plentiful and delicious menu here for your average vegetarian! The service is great. Our server was pleasant and attentive.

We chose the patio, as it was a mild evening. There are higher stools and comfortable cushioned lower chairs to choose from. The music was a selection of 70's rock & folk, and was perhaps a bit on the loud side.

There is a broad selection of house made juices and smoothies, as well as some wines, beers, and soft drinks.

My husband's portion of tofu steaks were smaller than expected, but delicious.

The green poutine was based in hand-cut cubed hashbrowns rather than fries. It was brimming with veggies, including a delightfully crisped kale, 2 kinds of cabbage, three kinds of onions, and mushrooms; with a black-pepper forward mushroom gravy, and nutritional yeast as the vegan option (alternative to their cheese option).

Dessert options are limited to a variety of cookies.

Having a lot of food sensitivities and allergies, it's very hard, if not impossible, to find a place where I can safely eat anything other than plain fries, so there wasn't really anything on their menu that I could eat without literally picking through, but the same is true for any restaurant I've tried.

“This was actually my first time having Ramen that didn't come out of a package from the supermarket and it was amazing. The pork was so tender and a little sweet. The broth was incredible. We had the crispy chicken to start and I loved the pickled daikon so much they let me buy a container of it.
