Server masterfully struck the balance between checking in on us and letting us enjoy our food very well, and was supremely friendly.

I liked the QR code payment system they put in place. Very good for people with social anxieties.

Seating and table space per person was ample and they had a decent variety of chairs, booths, and hybrid seating options.

Large portions, and priced about the same as other places around the area for breakfast food.

“Our experience was amazing from start to finish as our server Kristin was attentive and met our every need from the wine to dessert. I had the special which was rabbit and I can say the chef has a winner with this meal, my spouse enjoyed the strip loin and it was done exactly the way he likes it ( medium rare leaning more towards the raw). It was melt in your mouth delicious. The half charcuterie board was a perfect treat prior to our mains. I thoroughly enjoyed my chocolate mousse for dessert while my spouse sipped on his Irish coffee. Ambiance is perfect for a couples night out or to enjoy with friends. We will definitely be back. “Well worth a trip across the bridge! I rarely go to Dartmouth, but had an appointment this aft. Walking back to my car, I noticed this cute spot, Portland Street Creperie and decided to check it out. So glad I did! I’ll definitely be back. The owner and his staff member of many years greeted me with a warm welcome and good suggestions. It was a bonus to discover Neil shares a love of Kraftwerk! Thanks to the entire Canteen family - and I say FAMILY purposefully as you feel the family atmosphere as soon as you arrive - for hosting our team for dinner last week. We booked out the whole restaurant and they did just what we hoped for: Maritime hospitality, wonderful, genuine service and knock-your-socks off food. The team from across Canada went bananas over the Crobster sandwich. The special welcome from the owners was a lovely touch. The guests raved all the way back across the harbour on the ferry about the wonderful meal from start to finish. “We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

“We had almost given up on finding parking in the area (super busy due to a music festival) but are VERY glad we did not give up.
The Brussel sprouts were some of the best we'd EVER had, and the bernaise and the chili combined for amazing flavours. The burgers (Pig Mac & deluxe) were tasty, juicy and full of flavour, and the fries were fresh cut and delicious.

Ok, I suppose that Kismet was one of the Halifax's pearls...
But, from person who was there for the first time... I don't know.... The desert was terribly...cheap 😒 Sorry, guys, that's true. I'm not complaining, just don't serve the desert if you don't know how to do that.

“My new favorite sushi place in the city , a little hidden view from the street you come down some stairs and just order everything at the counter and sit after ( aka the servers wont take your order at the table but they do deliver the food at your table ) you pay upfront , it’s practical unless you have free room for desert.

We sat and the ambiance is like manga style with a lot a books in Japanese around us , dont get fooled by the decoration because the food is AMAZING trust me I have been to many fancy Japanese restaurants and this one is just as delicious ! We ordered a little bit of everything my personal opinion on the hot sushis ( smoke salmon ) not my cup of tea but my date loved it . And the seaweed salad very tasty, we almost got back again to the restaurant 2 days later because we loved it so much .

“This was actually my first time having Ramen that didn't come out of a package from the supermarket and it was amazing. The pork was so tender and a little sweet. The broth was incredible. We had the crispy chicken to start and I loved the pickled daikon so much they let me buy a container of it. Our waitress (I am sure I'm not spelling her name right but I think it was Shengshen) was so kind, cheerful and pleasant. I cannot wait to go back.“

Salvatore's had excellent communication, the timing was great, they were easy to coordinate with and get ahold of, and most importantly the food was excellent and fresh when it arrived.
