“What an awesome day for a drive for the First Monday in April 2023. Sunshine, the the forest bones of winter shaking off the cold. Trip from Halifax to New Minas to Big Mike Pizza. Definitely worth the drive. Definitely our favourite pizza.”

“There are lots of good things to say about Dayan. The place is clean, the owner is super friendly, and the portion sizes are 1/3 larger for the price than we've gotten at any sushi place in Halifax or the Valley. On the down side, we had 5 different rolls between us, all spicy, and unfortunately the sauce was so heavy handed that the only taste differentiation was the fact that some had teriyaki sauce and some didn’t. The rolls were also a bit hard to eat as they fell apart when picked up. Fresh food and good value, but a little more variety in flavour would be appreciated.”

“Food was delicious, staff very friendly and fast service. My only complaint would be the morning sun in our eyes and no blinds. My main concern is staff/management needing training on serving Clamato juice. That has a very short shelf life when opened so bottles need to be dated when you open them. This juice was clearly spoiled, you could visually see it before tasting it. Very easy to get food poisoning from this! Other than that, two thumps up!”

“What a little local gem. Tucked in,quietly out of the hustle and bustle of the main drag. Comfortable and clean. When we arrived, we had time to take advantage of the happy hour apps and drinks.. that was lovely! The oysters were ultra fresh, the accompaniments were well done. Some dreamy potato beignets that were delicate and full of flavor, and the chicken burger we tried was delicious! We tried the craft
non alcoholic soda, and I've been wanting another ever since. They also had the hot sauce used available for purchase, which we picked up. Highly recommend stopping in!”

“Had the best Reuban sandwich there yesterday. The only thing better than the sandwich was our server, Dawn -a delight! We were pampered and pleased to learn a little of her Acadian roots. She's a certified sommelier and we learned that the chef is a graduate of the grand culinary school de Paris - Le Cordon Bleu. One bite confirms his expertise!
Before we left, we visited one of their guest rooms- a sight to behold. An overnight stay would certainly be divine. C'est certain.

Our server was Hannah and she was lovely! Very attentive and very friendly! The beef brisket was delicious, as were the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus! 5 stars all the way around!”

“Wow! We stopped in for supper and were really impressed. Upon server recommendation, I ordered the Breakfast Poutine. Not something I’d normally choose… but it was incredible! It was the perfect blend of golden home fries, crispy bacon pieces, gooey cheese curds, and perfectly-cooked eggs, all topped with delicious hollandaise sauce. I have a new fav menu item!! Our server, Nora, was immediately welcoming. She greeted us warmly and made our visit cozy and enjoyable. Amazing food, atmosphere, and excellent customer service from Nora. Really impressed with this location and this visit.”

“I ordered two large pizzas for a Superbowl party, the day before Superbowl to be picked up at 5:30. One was 'TheWorks', the other was half Hawaiian, the other half pepperoni and mushroom--BUT these two ingredients had to be on top of the cheese. When I arrived at 5:30, the second pizza was just coming out of the oven. When I got to the party, the guys checked out the pizzas and they were gone within 20 minutes. They all said they were glad I chose Valley Pizza for the party. Thanks, Valley Pizza!”

“I already left a google review a few weeks back, and since I couldn’t leave another - I had to track down your Facebook page! I am THE pickiest pizza eater I know. Half acre cafe 100% gets my stamp of approval. They are hands down the best pizza place in the valley. Tried the wings tonight too, and they were PERFECT! (Dasher sucked, our food was cold - but it was still better cold than any hot pizza I’ve had around here in years!)”
