“Cure location. Ordered three sandwiches. One prosciutto, one Italian cold cut and one worlds best club. They all came with a side and we tried all three - the soup, mixed green salad and the ceasar salad. Everything was delicious! Only complaint is we were never checked on for additional drink refill - other than that really good.“

“Out walking and I stopped in to try some pastry. I was so surprised, once I bit into the Mozart dessert, I couldn't believe the hazelnut filling!!! It was so creamy and delectable and not overly sweet, like in America. As I was eating I could not believe that I had stumbled across such a wonderful bakery, such as this place! I savored every bite! I came in on a cruise and I will definitely stop in again! If anyone is headed to the Citadel you will pass this at the bottom of the hill going up the hill to the fort. It is so worth stopping in!!!“

“We stopped in on a weeknight after wandering around Halifax all day and were glad this place was still buzzing with a relaxed crowd. My husband got the sticky toffee pudding and I had a pot of tea, and honestly both were better than we expected for a casual cafe. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us even though it was getting close to closing time, which we really appreciated after a long day of sightseeing. We loved the cozy little atmosphere with the mismatched chairs and soft lighting, and we'll definitely stop by again next time we're in town.“

“The Bread Lounge has the best sandwiches in Halifax, at both the North End and Burnside locations. The cheese croissant is phenomenal and one of the best I’ve ever had ANYWHERE!! I also just had a catered event at the Burnside location yesterday and everything was flawless. “I read it`s burnt, then I read it`s not cooked enough. I read it gets green mold on it. What is it with you people? It is not burnt and if you got a batch that was not cooked enough because they are trying to make everybody happy. Only a real not very sharp person would complain about mold. It is a very old recipe that when it made, it was used the same day. No refridgeration back then. MORE IMPORTANTLY NO PRESERVATIVES it will turn green if not used. You eat the stuff that has all the preservatives in it and you might not turn green either! Good luck!

I was so grateful to Vicky for accommodating my last min order and was impressed with the very quick turnaround time. I couldn't believe how much the cake weighed, 3 layers of deliciousness! The Coconut and Dulce de Leche flavor combo is absolutely incredible, I highly recommend if you know or love a coconut-lover. The cake looked so great we almost didn't want to cut it! Thank you!“

“We tried Bagirls for the first time and they are soooo good! Blueberry, chocolate chip, and banana! Blueberry is always a hit with my family, but I was really surprised by the banana. Wasn’t sure what they would be like but I think they are my new favorite. Just the perfect amount of sweet banana flavour. Highly recommend!“

“Stumbled upon Cempoal de la Calavera Negra last Saturday morning and honestly it's become my new favourite weekend spot in Halifax. The cortado I ordered was perfectly balanced, not too bitter, and came in this really nice ceramic cup that made the whole thing feel a bit special. The vibe inside is cozy without being cramped, great for sitting with your laptop or just watching the neighbourhood wake up through the front windows. Definitely coming back next weekend - already thinking about trying whatever pastry they had sitting on the counter that I regrettably skipped.“
