“Saturday evening (Feb 18) we randomly decided to stop by Jinloong for supper. We don't eat out much these days, but we were feeling like a treat. :) My husband had a combo Special A. It was a huge portion and delicious. I want to mention that my husband always finishes his plate. However, this meal was not only delicious but filling too. He had enough for in dining and leftovers for a take away lunch on Monday ! I ordered the Singapore Noodles, with no meat or shrimp. Our waiter was so helpful to make a lovely fresh enormous bowl of noodles with extra veggies for me. It was wonderful and I went home with 3 days of leftovers!! YAY!! This was such a great meal for "penny pinches" like us haha I'd like to say our experience at Jinloong was 5 stars, but I wish I could give an extra 5 stars for the lovely, helpful service we received from our waiter. He was a delight!! So kind, helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant don't look any further than Jinloong. The homemade sauces are absolutely worth every penny. The portions are fantastic, and the service is GREAT! We'll be back soon. I've included a photo of all our leftovers. Limited seating during busy times but well worth the few minutes wait. Convenient location with lots of nearby parking. Will definitely dine here again.“

Top notch service, highly adaptable and friendly but professional. The halibut cheeks are extraordinary. Not all fine food is found in the boardwalk. “My husband and I came for dinner this evening. We barely ever go out anymore. We didn't have a reservation but we were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. Our server Janine was so friendly and accommodating. She was brilliant. She knew the wine selection down to the vintage of the bottles. She also knew where all the products sold were sourced. The approachable knowledge she displayed allowed us to make the best choice for our meal. The haddock is truly long line practiced and remains fresh. The chef clearly poured their heart and soul into the flavour and presentation. We were beyond impressed with the whole experience. Thank you so much. We will be back for sure.“

“11/10. Absolutely phenomenal experience. They are SO patient and SO experienced. Nothing is out of the question as they can make anything possible. Your booking includes set-up and tear down by the staff, HUGE win. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. And obviously the space is GORGEOUS; very little decorations are even needed in the romantic moody room. We did our ceremony on the roof and it was SO special. Food incredible. We did a standing cocktail dinner and we had more than enough and continue to received compliments over the menu. This is SUCH an awesome spot!“

“We stopped in at The Wooden Monkey while travelling from Calgary & Vancouver last weekend and had an incredible experience. Even without a reservation, we were seated right away and warmly welcomed.
The whole team was great, but Hannah truly stood out—friendly, funny, knowledgeable and so genuine. She brought the whole farm-to-table concept to life with such passion.
The food was outstanding so flavourful and thoughtfully crafted—especially the kale Caesar, lamb ravioli, and seafood pasta. As Italians we were surprised by their take on bruschetta but it was a delicious and creative rendition on their house made focaccia. If only we lived closer so we could come back regularly. A great selection of in-house baked good (the carrot cake is my favourite); lot's of sandwiches (Montreal smoked meat hits the spot every time); breakfast fare (their in-house breakfast sandwich is yummy!); and friendly, attentive staff. They feature an espresso roast that is one of my favourites on either side of the harbour. The space is great to hang out in—at times bustling, at others, peacefully quiet.“

“Since Covid I have very rarely been downtown and so today when I had the opportunity I went to my fave place and ordered the Pho GA and The lemon grass chicken Bahn-Mi. It was even better than I remembered! Lots of chicken, the yummy housemaid citrusy mayo and the bun which is absolutely amazing. The res chillies for me is what makes this so darn tasty - so thanks for that kind associate behind the counter who acccommodated my request!“

“Was beautiful on the patio even if we had to run under the awning as it started raining enough that our buns would get soggy.

The lentil burger was to die for and the sweet potato chowder was delicious as well. However it did get cold fast so I didn’t finish it, was a lot of food regardless. Well worth it!

Lamb burger & roasties were the bomb as well. Didn’t get a photo though.
Our sever was amazing as well, although his name escapes me atm.

“No hostess at the front to greet people walking in, waited 10 minutes and still nothing, server walked by us looking clueless and did not bother to help, called the restaurant from inside the restaurant, still no answer, then finally 2 hostesses came at once and we were finally seated at our table. Very poor start to dinner but the rest was flawless: food, service, atmosphere and value. We almost left, but glad we didn't. Way to recover, that was a close one!“

“My wife and I decided we wanted to eat out last evening. We weren’t necessarily looking for fast food, but we weren’t looking for fancy food either. We dropped by Krave Burger last evening and wow! The burgers were awesome and the fries were fresh cut and equally tasty with just the right amount of salt mixed in! The staff were wonderful and even recommended an alternate meal for us, which actually turned out to save us a little money. The person at the drive-through was courteous, smiled and was just lovely. She clearly enjoys her work and it shows. I know it’s just a burger and fries, but it was served with a friendly smile great service and we just loved it. Their burgers are amazing. You owe it to yourself to visit the shop.“

“We placed an order for pick up then had a flat tire. Our delivery driver Parth rescued us and was so helpful. He not only delivered our pizza, he lent us his jack and offered to change the tire. He is just starting and should be recognized for his awesome customer service. The store was committed to ensuring that our food met their quality standards by keeping it fresh. “Staff were really good, I walked in and placed my order and was out of there in under 10 minutes. The fries were excellent however with all the reviews I was a little disappointed by the ribs. I found them pretty flavourful however they were definitely on the dry side.

Maybe it was an off night but for a BBQ place I really expected a bit better.“
