“Saturday evening (Feb 18) we randomly decided to stop by Jinloong for supper. We don't eat out much these days, but we were feeling like a treat. :) My husband had a combo Special A. It was a huge portion and delicious. I want to mention that my husband always finishes his plate. However, this meal was not only delicious but filling too. He had enough for in dining and leftovers for a take away lunch on Monday ! I ordered the Singapore Noodles, with no meat or shrimp. Our waiter was so helpful to make a lovely fresh enormous bowl of noodles with extra veggies for me. It was wonderful and I went home with 3 days of leftovers!! YAY!! This was such a great meal for "penny pinches" like us haha I'd like to say our experience at Jinloong was 5 stars, but I wish I could give an extra 5 stars for the lovely, helpful service we received from our waiter. He was a delight!! So kind, helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant don't look any further than Jinloong. The homemade sauces are absolutely worth every penny. The portions are fantastic, and the service is GREAT! We'll be back soon. I've included a photo of all our leftovers. “RFM is fabulous! I absolutely love the vegan eggs benny breakfast.😋 The burgers are delicious too. in fact, everything is delicious. “Sunday morning after nine turned out to be perfect timing, no wait at all and the kids could actually be loud without anyone glaring at us. We split the lobster benny and a stack of pancakes and both plates got demolished, which never happens with my picky eater. Our server kept the coffee coming and even brought the little ones some crayons without us asking, which bought us just enough time to eat while it was still hot. Easy to find parking nearby too, so loading up two toddlers afterward wasn't the usual circus.“

“My family and I ate here a few weeks ago when we were visiting Halifax. My spouse has celiac and so eating out is a bit dicey. After reading the menu and reviews, we wanted to give the Wooden Monkey a try. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lovely, comfortable and unique. The service was friendly and professional. The food was delicious and top quality. The intention and ethics of the restaurant are inspiring. Our server, Bridgid, was patient and enthusiastic, making my young kids feel welcome. My spouse enjoyed his meal and felt good afterwards. This is our new favorite restaurant (even though we live 1,000 miles away!).“

“My son and I attended the John Prine Tribute Show Saturday night; the talent was spectacular and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, during the music break, I became ill very suddenly (non alcohol related), and got sick as I tried to reach the washroom. I was so embarassed and upset, but a lovely customer and the owner were incredible. Emma and Karen made sure I was well taken care of, cleaning me up, calming me down, rubbing my back, getting me water and wet/dry cloths. I can't thank you both enough! “My friend's and I recently had lunch at La Piazza. The food was absolutely delicious, the service exemplary and the atmosphere is very cozy. “Stopped by for a coffee last Friday evening and the place was as good as ever, honestly one of the few spots in Dartmouth where I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for my order. Got the mocha and a slice of their carrot cake, and the cake was so fresh it tasted like it came out of the oven an hour before. The staff behind the counter recognized me from previous visits and even remembered my usual order, which is a nice touch after all these years. It gets a bit busy around six but there's a small patio out back that's perfect for unwinding after work.“

“11/10. Absolutely phenomenal experience. They are SO patient and SO experienced. Nothing is out of the question as they can make anything possible. Your booking includes set-up and tear down by the staff, HUGE win. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. And obviously the space is GORGEOUS; very little decorations are even needed in the romantic moody room. We did our ceremony on the roof and it was SO special. Food incredible. We did a standing cocktail dinner and we had more than enough and continue to received compliments over the menu. This is SUCH an awesome spot!“

Anulyway, everything is good there - the food are authentically Italian and European. Tiramisu is decent and fresh. Coffee is amazing (and I'm drinking only espresso, with a huge European background, so...)

“Since Covid I have very rarely been downtown and so today when I had the opportunity I went to my fave place and ordered the Pho GA and The lemon grass chicken Bahn-Mi. It was even better than I remembered! Lots of chicken, the yummy housemaid citrusy mayo and the bun which is absolutely amazing. The res chillies for me is what makes this so darn tasty - so thanks for that kind associate behind the counter who acccommodated my request!“

“The Bread Lounge has the best sandwiches in Halifax, at both the North End and Burnside locations. The cheese croissant is phenomenal and one of the best I’ve ever had ANYWHERE!! I also just had a catered event at the Burnside location yesterday and everything was flawless. “My wife and I decided we wanted to eat out last evening. We weren’t necessarily looking for fast food, but we weren’t looking for fancy food either. We dropped by Krave Burger last evening and wow! The burgers were awesome and the fries were fresh cut and equally tasty with just the right amount of salt mixed in! The staff were wonderful and even recommended an alternate meal for us, which actually turned out to save us a little money. The person at the drive-through was courteous, smiled and was just lovely. She clearly enjoys her work and it shows. I know it’s just a burger and fries, but it was served with a friendly smile great service and we just loved it. Their burgers are amazing. You owe it to yourself to visit the shop.“
