“The Egg Shop 3961 Las Vegas Blvd S., Las Vegas, NV 89119 5 Stars For my second venture into Las Vegas eats, I stopped by what I am sure is a local favorite, The Egg Shop on the Strip. Located across from the Mandalay Bay Hotel Casino, one will find this gem of a dive. Alan is the owner and he mans the counter professionally and engagingly, answering all questions (and I ask a lot) with a smile on his face and in his voice. After my second culinary journey in the restaurant jungle of Las Vegas, I am absolutely convinced that Brevard County, FL, has pitiful food. It's a race to the bottom on the Space Coast, because if a hole-in-the-wall joint such as this can execute high-quality chow like this, the Big Boy's future is bright. I asked Alan for a Steak and Egg sandwich, one order of his Flour Tower (a short stack of Johnny cakes), and a Strawberry Lemonade Cheesecake. As my meal was being prepared, I relaxed and took in the sights of The Strip. Las Vegas is the best place to people-watch this side of the Mississippi. You can tell the locals from the tourists from the hucksters with a glance. Being daytime, the place wasn't busy, and my order was up in a flash. After the requisite pictures, I enthusiastically got to work because look at those pictures! First up on the discerning Big Boy's palate was the Steak and Egg sandwich. This was gigantic, cooked to perfection and the chimichurri mayo gave it a unique, exotic and excellent flavor. Wow. It was all I could do to move on to the next item. Before I get into how they tasted, take a second and look at that picture of Alan's Flour Tower again. Have you ever seen such a perfect representation of a pancake? I would wager you haven't, and as I am in Las Vegas, I am sure we can find an odds maker for that! Now, back to the task at hand. If a picture is worth 1000 words, you can surmise how delightful those pancakes were. WTF? I would expect pancakes of this caliber in a 5-star hotel on the French Riviera, not in a diner on the Las Vegas Strip. Alan is undoubtedly a man who takes great pride in his offerings to the public and has a genuine love of serving the public. Outstanding, my man! Just when I thought I hit the jackpot, I placed a forkful of the Strawberry Lemonade Cheesecake in my aptly named pie-hole. O. M. G. This would be illegal in Brevard; it's that good. Words do not do it justice. It was sublime in flavor, perfect in texture and downright divine on the palate. The Big Boy says, “Visiting or residing, this is a MUST for all.”“

“Everything was excellent! Fast, friendly service. Everyone was so nice. We were seated quickly, our drinks were immediately at the table, and our order was taken and delivered very fast. The food was amazing! They have a large menu. The coffee was great. The food was phenomenal. The Whidbey Bagel was soo good! The mimosa flight was great as well. Our dishes were removed from the table about as soon as we were done eating. We were offered to go cups for our drinks. Cute, casual atmosphere. Excellent off strip breakfast! Highly recommend!“

“This is my first time here at KeKe’s and the food was really good! I got the banana pecan French toast combo with scrambled eggs and bacon. The French toast was very flavorful and crispy at the bottom ! Honestly I didn’t need a bunch of syrup because it was sweet enough. They put a lot of bananas on it which I loved. The bacon was crispy and the eggs was typical scrambled eggs. My husband got the steak and cheese omelet and he loved it. Next time we are visiting Vegas we will def come back and try some different items .“

“Today was our first visit to the Sunset Grill. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is bright and super clean with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was amazing. We were greeted and seated right away and our server, Jessica was at our table with water and taking our drink order before we even looked at the menu. Our food came out hot, fresh and perfectly prepared to order. I must say, I’m usually disappointed with French toast in restaurants because it’s typically “eggy” and soggy. That is not the case here. It came out cooked perfectly as did my over medium eggs. Lastly, regardless of what else you order, the home fries are a must. We will definitely be back, and probably often😜“

“I have never left a recommendation for any place because I normally leave thinking....eh. However, from the moment I walked into this "smaller place" I felt the difference. They played oldies for music which brought me back to the seldom good moments growing up & listening to them w my momma in her car. The owner was interactive & in the open the entire time. he was opening doors for people and just hands on. Then the servers...(only a small few there) were so genuinely kind as I watched their interactions with people. My server Said was warm & his smile was pleasant. Many people may walk in & out the doors but for some of us that's the only interaction we get...& was already alot to get ourselves to go to...alone. So I 10/10 recommend. I mean on top of all that....sweet cream latter and this breakfast was DELISH! Honestly wouldn't change a thing. Thank you.“

“We had a wonderful brunch at the Broken Yolk Cafe near Fremont Street! Conveniently located just down the street from Fremont Street Experience with a beautiful venue that you can see out on Las Vegas Blvd. We were a group of eight, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Manager Michael came over to welcome us and make sure everything was perfect, and our server Amber was amazing and never missed a beat. They both made sure everyone was well taken care of. I personally love their Benedict’s and their bloody Mary/mimosa flights. Our table loved everything that they had chosen including the chicken fried steak and eggs, club sandwich, variety of pancakes, chilaquiles and so much more. They did a wonderful job all around! The food and vibe are both elevated and upscale feeling but with a healthy enlightened down to earth sensibility. The entire menu is 100% vegan (and vegetarian) which is great since both my girlfriend and I are fully vegan. I got the rigatoni penne pesto pasta which was delicious and something I could come back for again and again. My girlfriend got the 4 tacos which she liked but she liked my pasta flavors more. The tacos can be a little messy to eat since you eat them with your hands. The owner was super sweet and friendly. And the bill was actually cheaper than most casual vegan eateries we go to in town.
