“I like to read the other reviews before posting. Many low reviews complained about the service, but I'm posting this review because I've always had great service. After only a few times coming to this location the staff (a woman) knew my order. Nobody has ever messed up my order and I've never had to wait an excessive amount. I come here for breakfast food, coffee, tea, and the occasional donut. I would recommend this location. I feel like the employees care about the customers.“

“Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“Excellent cafe with tons of space, great drinks/food and friendly service. Sometimes they fall into the same trap as other cafes in Flushing though, and play the same few songs on repeat for hours. Last time I was here they played the same small 60’s playlist for 8hrs straight. No exaggeration. Get ready to hear “Build Me Up Buttercup” 25 times. So bring headphones if you plan on staying a while.

Heads up to management too, the bathroom here is consistently a mess. The garbage can foot lever is broken so apparently everyone is just throwing paper towels on the ground. A new garbage can would remedy this.“

“Just went to Greek City Grille and ordered the chicken souvlaki platter with lemon potatoes. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and the lemon potatoes were absolutely amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and the place was so clean and decorated beautifully. Will definitely be coming back!“

“Homey’s Bistro is the place to go to in Glen Head. Across from the LIRR Parking is easy. They serve breakfast, amazing lunch and NOT TO FORGET, the donuts 🍩 and cinnamon rolls, which are massive. Three try one of their amazing iced espresso. They also have beer from a local distributor and started last week. They’re doing wine and crate trays on the evenings of Friday and Saturday. i’ll be going this Friday tomorrow to check that one out. I will give this place five stars friendly. They have their own pastry chef on staff, which makes everything fresh daily. Check it out.“

“Great place for crazy cookie flavors, a little pricey and other than the everyday flavors the specialty flavors are more expensive. If you join their club you get a FREE cookie for your bday but only the daily flavors, specialty ones are not included and they should be, after all if it's your bday you should be able to pick what you like. Even though cookies are pricey they can be worth the try because I feel this is not a daily place but a nice treat once in a while.“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! “I’ve been to every local coffee shop you could think of within the radius of Oceanside to Long Beach. Without doubt this is THE best local coffee shop in the area. Small, quaint little hole in the wall type of shop next to the Oceanside train station that puts out THE best coffee and baked goods. The Pistachio Tiramisu was a total knock out, so so so so good. The owner Vish has to be one of the nicest people I’ve met as well. A hands on owner you can find behind the counter whipping up coffees or out on the patio engaging with his guests. Very nice spot I highly recommend coming here. Their cold brew is the best.“
