8 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Altamont

Indian Ladder Farms Cidery and Brewery Brewery • $$
342 Altamont Rd, Altamont

“One of the best local farms, with a store, hayrides for the kids, fresh apple cider and donuts, and a restaurant that was new to me, as I have not been to the farm in a couple years. The place is still relatively the same as when I first came here as a kid, and I definitely got that nostalgia hit when we pulled up. Had one of the best Ruben sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. It’s also great for pick your own apples, and they have a basket pole for the kids to reach the higher up apples! Also doesn’t hurt to support our local farms!!“

“Low key, great beer, brought my 2 kids here so momma could nurse and have a drink after the farmers market. Music was excellent and sonic character of the space was NOT insanely boomy. Will definitely be back for both sensory perks, excellent vibe and quality beer.“

“The food was excellent; our server Bryan was terrific. The music was a bit loud for conversation, though. The acoustics aren't great because of all the glass and the high tin ceilings, but it was tolerable. Like I said, though=excellent food and great service-Bryan gets a shout out!“

“Nice coffee shop in a hip area on Jay St. Owner and service are friendly. Good atmosphere. Pricing is average for coffee. Ordered a lg hot Skybar and 1 lg iced Smore's and was disappointed on the flavor profiles. Not sure if they forgot to flavor both coffee's but both tasted like straight espresso. The coffee was also bitter compared to most places which could mean a couple things but are easy fixes. I'll give them another try. On a street with 2 other coffee shops they need to make some minor adjustments and I think they'll be a hit!“

“We ordered catering for about 75 people for an event. Food was delivered and set up on time without a snag, and everything was absolutely delicious -- all for about $1,000, which you couldn't beat. My only wish is they offered some of the catering options on their regular menu, like the eggplant parm!“

“This is a bar that does a nice job being a bar. I know that is kind of a simplistic thing to say, but they do the basics right. Serve decent drinks, check in, are friendly, don't leave you hanging for a drink or attention. The space is well set up. All on all, nice spot to hang out.“

“The wife and I were out holiday shopping and I talked her into a beer. Pro tip guys Biergarten has giant liter beers so when you tell her "just one" this is definitely the place lol. So a lot has changed here. But they still have some good traditional German beers and they still have the peanuts too. They had soccer playing on the TVs and yes the shuffle boards and dart boards are all still there. The bartender was a nice guy too. He was a bit young and seemed like he may have been new to the bar business but he was able to create small talk with everyone. Good place. Good atmosphere. They had food although we didn't have any. Place was clean. And they had huge traditional German beers. I'll be going back.“
