“I was amazed by "squid rice with shrimp". It's cooked with squid ink. There is no fishy taste at all but all the goodie including red pepper, green pepper oinion, pea and of course squid and shrimp. The drink is amazing. Be careful, they are very very strong! Owners and servers are super friendly as well.“

“Ate here with my family on a Saturday night. We took an uber to this location as we figured trying to find parking would not be good. The service and food was good. I couldn’t rate the food 5 stars as my steak was not the one I ordered and the meat was chewy. I didn’t rate the atmosphere 5 stars either as the place is quite small and not too much space to stand around while waiting for a table. If in the area, I do recommend stopping here for some authentic Cuban food.“

“The food we ordered from Casa Cubana for the surprise 50th Birthday party we hosted was a HIT! Everyone told us the food was delicious. They even provided serving utensils. We had black rice with beans (Moro), pork shoulder (Pernil), chicken and steak skewers, garlic shrimp, chicken and beef empanadas and sweet plantains. And yes, all of it was mouthwatering good. I was sold when I went for a quote and was given a chicken empanada to sample. So juicy! I highly recommend them for your next event, lunch or dinner. The cafe they have is lovely and the customer service is 10/10. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Went for Restaurant Week to try a few things out and celebrate my birthday. Everything was fantastic. Standouts were the empanadas and the ropa vieja noodles. The mojitos were delicious although a little small, however, they were reasonably priced. Service was great, we never felt rushed. Will definitely be back and already recommended to friends!“

I ordered the Oxtail which they served me 4 large pieces that were very flavorful and tender.
Yucca fries were nice and crunchy , I requested a small bowl of Cuban mojo to dip my yucca fries.
The white rice and black beans were very good.
Staff very attentive.“

“We had a great time here for my brother's birthday. Went at 6 on a Saturday and wasn't too crowded so food came out quickly and everyone was satisfied. I had the steak nachos and a mango mojito. Both were good! The decor is so nice. Would like to go again while the bands are playing.“

“Cabana in Forest Hills has that lively, island vibe — upbeat music, friendly service, and food that feels like a mini getaway. I ordered the chuleta de cerdo (pork chops) with rice, black beans, and tostones. The sides were delicious — and lucky me, the tostones came with a garlic dip, which I happily used to give my pork chops the extra kick they needed 😉. I was hoping for a bit more Dominican-style flavor from the pork, but overall, a solid spot for good vibes and Latin comfort food done right.“

“This was my first visit here. (I previously have had delivery on a couple of occasions and the food was very good.) Despite being a little early for our reservations and the place being very busy, we were seated immediately at the outdoor table I had requested in the reservations. The cocktails didn't take that long to be brought and were very good. The fried calamari appetizer (tapas) was outstanding- each piece perfectly crispy and not one piece was chewy. The sweet chili sauce worked very well with a mild heat in the middle of the tongue surrounded by sweetness. My wife enjoyed the jamon croquettas despite it lacking any sort of aioli or dipping sauce. My main dish of the deep fried Red Snapper was perfectly crisp on the outside, moist and tender inside and all around tasty. My wife enjoyed her fired cheese mofongo. Dessert of guava cheesecake and also the flan were good as well. Overall, service was good and the maitre d' walks around checking in on guests which is a nice touch. Overall, I thought the prices were very reasonable and you get nice size portions making it a good value. Just be aware that inside is fairly large and can get loud. Their windows are thick and outside you only really hear it when the door opens. Considering we live across the street and stare at the place from our windows, we'll be back, likely often.“

“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. We can visit the place multiple times and never get tired. #supportlocal“

“Hace poco hice un pedido para un evento social familiar por un valor de $540 pero decidí pagar con mi tarjeta de crédito, obviamente me cobran el impuesto tax 6.625% de venta, sin embargo, tuvieron el descaro de cobrarme un 2.9% adicional por el uso de la tarjeta de crédito. Cuando les pregunté, me dijeron que había un cajero (ATM) automático que podía usar, por lo tanto si lo pagaría en efectivo y solo pagaría $ 540. Parece obvio que están tratando de estafar el impuesto sobre las ventas del gobierno. en cualquier caso, la comida no era tan buena y nunca volveré a ellos. “I found this place through instagram and went in person had the sweet chilli wings and two empanadas, amazing! Loved it. Not a fan of the yuca fries they were a bit on the dry side but its always a hit or miss when it comes to Yuca / Yuca fries. The atmosphere was amazing, super clean place seems like a small family business loved seeing that. Truly recommend.“

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

The cortado was heavier on milk than typical. The atmosphere was diner-like— not fancy, old school, embracing a theme of indigenous America including a very interesting & unique mural. Although I didn’t love what I ate on my first visit, I will come back if I’m in the area for a different meal.“

“This place is one of the best places to have a healthy lunch in West New York. I am amazed that it doesn't have any review yet. I tried fish and also lunch specials twice out three times being there, I recommend fish and cow tail. A nice girl works there having very helpful attitude toward customers (unfortunately I don't remember her name but you will find her at lunch). You might have a little bit of problem communicating in english, but all of the times that I had lunch there, they prepared exactly what I meant. A meal size was more than enough for me and I am not skinny, unhealthy or anything. Did I mention the price? it is worth every penny.“

They never asked if I wanted to go or to stay, they gave it to me in ‘to go’ packaging and told me I can’t sit inside, which was weird. Especially for an empty restaurant on a Wednesday at 3pm.

“OMG I was looking for parking outside of Sophie's, to go to a hospital appointment & I was like omg a cuban restaurant I had been craving a good Cubano Sandwich for about 5 yrs so I downloaded app & ordered.. by the time it was ready I found a spot.. it was very reasonably priced especially for Manhattan but most of all it was AMAZING... im literally waiting for my next appointment great food , clean environment & nice people“
