“Yummy yum food one of my facorite“

“The two of us ordered large portions of milk mochi snowflake ice. We couldn't finish the extra large portion. We should have ordered the medium portion. We chose full sugar. The syrup and condensed milk were very sweet, but the middle was still a bit tasteless. place. The ingredients are not very sweet in comparison. There are four ingredients: mochi, taro balls, aiyu and glutinous rice balls, which are quite rich. There are two floors with seating. The layout on the second floor is very elegant and the environment is not bad.“

“The staff were polite, patient and welcoming. The woman working was very patient and helpful to help me pick my order. The food was great; there’s nothing I could nit-pick about it. Food was fresh, hot, tasty. I ordered this fried chicken cutlet with rice combination platter. But to be honest, I’m convinced whatever I ordered was gonna taste great and fresh. The vibe was relaxed and cozy. Easy 5/5, you got great people making great food.“

What a lovely place! An extra star must be added manually compared to other noodle places.

The beef noodle soup was delicious — perfectly cooked noodles and big chunks of tender beef shank. The broth was so flavorful. I didn’t finish it, so I saved some for the next day, and it still tasted great.

I also ordered the fried sticky tofu, which
was amazing — honestly, it tasted even better the next day.

The server is a very polite and friendly young man, and the owner/chef is a lovely lady. The restaurant is very clean as well. If I wasn’t trying to stay on a diet, I would visit them every week!“

The appetizers were also excellent. The century egg was fresh and creamy. The sausage was juicy and slightly sweet, which paired well with the savory dishes. The popcorn chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.“

“I’ve finally found my favorite Taiwanese restaurant in the east coast. This spot is the spot to try if you want real authentic Taiwanese food with extensive menu items. My eyes lit up when I saw the menu. The owners are from Tainan, Taiwan which is often consider the culinary capital of Taiwan with many iconic traditional dishes and flavors.

The restaurant is spacious but it does not have many table seatings (3-5 tables?). When we came it wasn’t busy so we got a spot but we did see many people coming in for their takeout orders. The oldies they play at the restaurant take me back to my childhood. The place is structured very interestingly where it’s an open kitchen so you can actually easily see how they prep the food in the back.

We ordered:
- oyster omelette pancake
- mung wort kueh (4 pieces)
- danzai noodle
- mixed spice platter

The oyster omelette was the highlight! The bottom is crispy and they use a generous amount of oysters. It’s the most authentic oyster pancake I’ve had in the east coast. Alot of other “Taiwanese spots” don’t make it correctly.

I also love the mung wort kueh (hard to find places that sell this) - it’s a fun snack to take to go. It’s a savory mochi bun with shredded radish as the main ingredient.

The danzai noodle is an iconic dish from Tainan. Its main star consists of the one shrimp and the marinated ground braised pork. Although I would prefer the dry version but they serve the soup version here. The broth tastes very clear and clean, doesn’t feel like it’s dosed with salt and MSG.

We got the mixed platter - an iconic street food in Tainan is 滷味 (Lou Wei) which is consist of different ingredients tossed and braised in a soy-based spice sauce. They have a nice selection of Lou Wei options and the platter we got had pork belly, duck neck, tofu skin, and lotus roots. The spicy duck neck can be intimidating for those that have never had it but it is fun to eat.

There are so many items on there that I can’t wait to try. For first timer, definitely get the oyster pancake and Luroufan! I can’t wait to come back and try more of the traditional Taiwanese dishes. They also have frozen dumplings that you can buy to go. 50 pieces for $28-$30 is a pretty good price!“

“I am so glad that a dear friend of mine recommended and brought me to this very unpretentious restaurant on Main Street, Flushing. Known for its authentic Taiwanese cuisine, this place doesn’t disappoint. Service is great with experienced servers that are attentive and friendly. To start, pickled napa cabbage and soft boiled peanuts are placed on the table. Followed by a complementary plate of sautéed cabbage in light oil. Succulent and delish. We ordered a few dishes to share and all of them were memorable! I particularly liked their shredded pork with Chinese celery. The Mapo tofu is simply full of flavor with the right amount of chili. The chicken in the clay pot is divine and full of flavors too. We also ordered the fresh clams with basil sautéed with bird’s eye chili. So good, we asked for more rice. “I traveled from Chile on vacation and I wanted to eat takoyaki since I can't find it here, I really liked it, the sauce is very good, it combines well with the bonito and the octopus, the only thing is 2 things: the food court in the mall is somewhat difficult to get to xDDD and I would make the takoyaki a little smaller, the rest was very good“
