“We absolutely loved our stay! Bernadette was an incredible host — thoughtful, welcoming, and always making sure we had everything we needed. The stay itself felt like an experience: we spent time with the animals, walked by the river, and even got to learn a little bit about the juice-making process. The fresh juice was so healing, and the farm eggs were delicious. The property is stunning with beautiful views in every direction. It's perfectly located for hikes, water activities, or a trip into town. We stayed above a barn, which was such a unique and fun experience — the space was cozy and stylish, with wood details, big windows overlooking the farm, and a full kitchen that was more equipped than our own at home. There were several couches and beds — perfect for a family, though we loved it just as a couple. Great ambiance and climate control too! We also really enjoyed the local restaurants and fun activities like writing, shopping, and loom discovery. We’d come back in a heartbeat!”

“Capisce is our new favorite coffee place in Lake Placid. Check this place out. It has our favorite espresso coffee drinks: breves, lattes. The coffee is bold and smooth and the subtle notes of the beans are exactly what I love. The food is very good. And they have good sized seating areas both inside and especially nice one outside that has servers delivering your order to your table. The staff is friendly, helpful and informative. 2 things to note: First, it is a little bit out of downtown but well worth the trip since it is quiet and more spacious. Second: It can be very busy at certain times but that is the case with most of the good coffee bars in Lake Placid.”

“Hidden gem in the Adirondacks, great food, flavor combinations I hadn't thought of, Ham Stuffed French Toast, excellent. Beautiful views of the region, friendly staff, quick service. We have stopped in twice and will make it a regular stop when in the area, the prices should embarrass the rest of the restaurants in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid that think a tourist destination needs to empty a customer's wallet.”

“I was traveling for business in the area. My Brisket Sandwich was wonderful. Staff and owner were great. Place was clean. One suggestion season the Mac and Cheese, it just a little bland. I did not ask for extra sauce to season anything. But great place. Very tasty food and your outdoor smoking area is one of the best. Hope this place stays open and I will be back again.”

“We have been coming to lake placid every year for as long as we can remember and we’ve never tried this bakery before surprisingly. We got coffee and some pastries. The latte we got was pretty good! Nothing special but good. The coffee was a little bit bitter for our liking. They also had a very wide selection of pastries. All the pastries we got were very good. Our favorite out of all of the ones that we got was the blueberry crumb bar. We also got the apple cinnamon roll and the chocolate and almond roll. Both were very good. When we got there the line was out the door (mostly because the shop is very small) but it moved quickly. The service was good. Overall a very cute place to get some coffee and pastries. It’s also right across from mirror lake so you are able to eat the delicious coffee and pastries there with an incredible view.”

“Cute small town vibes. Our waitress was very nice. Our food was fantastic. I got the hash and eggs. I was expecting your typical corned beef hash and was pleasantly surprised when I received real pieces of corned beef in hash browns. I am a condiment queen and this tasted so good I don’t even touch the ketchup. We will be back in January for sure.”

“We went here for Christmas dinner! And boy! It was the best Christmas dinner we’ve ever had! The ambience was cozy and rustic and the food arrived quickly. The sauce of the Thai Chilli Shrimp was delicious and the prawns were fresh. They were kind enough to accommodate my customisations into the Salmon dish. I replaced the salmon with sea bass and it was absolutely amazing! To end it, we had Tiramisu and it was maybe one of the best Tiramisu’s we’ve ever had! We left extremely happy from here. Highly recommend!!”

“Our party of six stopped in last night on our way back to Tupper Lake from Lake Placid. Our kids and their friends were especially hungry from a day on top of the mountain and they thoroughly enjoyed their pizzas and tacos. My wife and I enjoyed our Mojitos and Cure NEIPAs. Our fried chicken sandwich was perfectly flavored and the chips and queso were an amazing start. As co-owners of our own brewery, we were especially pleased with the level of service at each encounter (hostess, bartender, waiter, server, even the person who sold me my shirt). I also architect nerded out over the design of the place and the perfect use of the site. Being from NJ, I was pleasantly surprised at the somewhat urban scale /vibe to a place I never suspected to have one . We will definitely make this our stop every time we pass through. Five stars!”
