“I’ve been to The Blvd three times now and every single time has been a great experience. The food is always delicious, the drinks are strong (they definitely don’t skimp on the liquor), and the vibes are always on point. On weekends, they have DJs and sometimes host different events, which makes it even better. It’s one of those spots you can count on for good energy, good music, and a solid meal every time. Definitely a go-to in the Bronx.

“Cute well decorated shop with seating, plants, and cold vegan food. Wish they had outlets for laptops or fresh hot food. Looks like they have liquor but they’re closed after 3pm and on weekends so that doesn’t really make sense?. Tried a horchata latte and it was very sour and difficult to drink. Man happily fixed and changed it for me. Second drink still bad.. Would not eat here again but would come back for a casual daytime date just because of the cozy ambience & Great service.“

“The Snug and City Island Diner are true local treasures. They’re owned by the same wonderful people and share a kitchen, but each has its own vibe and hours — and together they’re unbeatable.

The fully loaded chili here is hands-down the best I’ve ever had. It’s rich, hearty, perfectly seasoned, and also shows up in their nachos, which makes them next-level comfort food.

One of my favorite things? They have a secret menu (no longer advertised) with specialty grilled cheese sandwiches and specialty hot dogs — and we absolutely love it. The Tuscan Melt (no onion) is perfection, and the Reuben Dog is unforgettable. With the hot dogs you get two, and you can mix and match styles, which is such a fun and generous touch.

At The Snug, my go-to drink is a black & tan, which pairs perfectly with the cozy, neighborhood pub feel. Over at the diner, my favorite dish is the Corned Beef Hash breakfast — classic, satisfying, and done exactly right.

Beyond the food, what really sets these places apart is the people. Every server is genuinely kind, welcoming, and deeply plugged into the City Island community. You feel like a regular even on your first visit.

“Shady spot. They will add a service charge/tip without telling you. My bill was $105 and when they ran my card it was $117.50 I could tell from the phone app from my bank. My friend was visibly drunk and they were still giving him drinks and running up the tab.

“Every time we’ve ordered from here the food is fresh, delicious and you can tell how much work they put into making such quality food. Every single time we’ve ordered they have yet to disappoint. Our favorite is the Birria Torta. You can tell that a different person makes it each time but oh my god it’s amazing. And their aguas frascas are to die for. “We arrived at the restaurant and were seated by our host/waiter, Nick K. He was very attentive, went over the specials and gave his opinion to the best plates at the restaurant. He was very accommodating and told us that we can upgrade pastas and sauces with our meals. He started us off with warm Focaccia bread, I then ordered the veal parm. and mixed it with the Cacio e Pepe and a glass of Cabernet. My wife ordered the Bolognese with an Aperol Spritz. I had put in my reservation that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and Nick brought three desserts to the menu which was a nice touch. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back to try other delicious plates.“

“Nice set up here with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a pizza oven in the back that is slanging some good stuff out. The pizza michaelango was pretty good. It had albanian sausage on it. It was a little oily for my liking but still good. The regular pizza was also good. They do a nice job with the crust here. The burrata to start was just ok so would probably just stick with pizza next time.“

Make sure y'all have lots of CASH with you, there is an ATM INSIDE with a $4.85-ish fee every transaction. Keep in mind that after 10pm they charge entrance, have your ID'S ready and they do body check, and leave your coat with a fee.In overall my experience was great.“
