“Super unique meal! We love love loved the food here and really enjoyed everything we ate. One star down because another patron was clearly over-served and was being rowdy and loud, but was still getting drinks and none of the staff asked her to be quiet. When I’m spending this kind of money, I would have liked the overall atmosphere to be a little less like a frat party.

But back to the food - we hadn’t heard of many things on the menu but we were feeling adventurous and so glad we did! This is your sign to try things without googling them. Just trust this chef - they know what they are doing. Our favorites were the whipped mackerel and lobster tostadas. Both were so fresh and clean and light (but still filling). Good portion sizes for tapas style. Beautiful plating. Really fun and unique meal!

“Go. Seriously. We went with a group of six for brunch and every single person was raving about it for days after. Hits every mark - food (first and foremost), service, ambiance. Only ding is that it's a bit hard to get to but if you're already making the trek to Greenpoint, consider Glasserie a must.“

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!“

“Super unique and delicious maple praline brown butter pancakes! More cake than pancake. The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. Food was prepared much quicker than expected and was all very good! I would definitely recommend this!“

“Yer basic taproom, a bunch of their own great beers on draught and can, mix of lager, IPA and silly stout. Bar staff that know the beers.

The afternoon I visited there was a DJ on playing some light rock, a nice amount of background ambience without getting in the way of having a conversation.“

“Those in the know won't worry to much about 5 leaves not being rated a 4.5 or higher, why you ask? Because it really doesn't matter when the ricotta pancakes are THAT FREAKING GOOD! Seriously every 3rd person orders those pancakes. They also have a great Mocha and black kale salad. If you're not in the mood for sweet fair try the moroccan scramble which is perfect for something light but filling. I got the BLAT on my first visit and it was also good. Now if you're there for dinner been warned the burger is quite filling but it will be worth it even if you gotta waddle home.“

“Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Surprised that this isn't one of those spots with a long wait as the space is open and inviting, the service good and the food very good. We had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and a shrimp po boy. Both excellent. Will come back for sure“

“My husband and I dined here during our visit to NYC. We came from the Cincinnati area and it was our first visit to the city. When planning the trip, Colonie caught my eye so we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did, because it quickly turned into the absolute highlight of our trip and was an evening we won’t forget. The service is outstanding - each individual host made us feel like family. We were never short beverages, and our space at the chefs table was kept tidy at all times - no empty plates left behind. The sous chefs are impossibly talented at what they do and gave every single plate attention and care before it left their sight. And lastly, the Chef is a true artist and extremely kind, humble person. We were delighted when he walked over to pay a visit as it was our anniversary dinner. The food is layered with exquisite, complimentary flavors that are refined and articulate but also make these dishes relatable, familiar, and remarkable at the same time. Personally, I think it’s the best neighborhood spot. It’s an Italian-based, but a bit eclectic, menu. It has steak as a main option. It also has great cocktails and a cool vibe. Not too loud, but not precious. No dress code. Pretty laid back.“

“First time here and it was amazing!! First - the ambiance is nice. It’s very cute inside, you take your shoes off and sit on cushions on the ground. It feels very calm and relaxed. Second - the fish is really fresh and the concept is fun. It was cool to experiment with the different salts and make our own handrolls. Every piece was delicious. You also get soup, and they have good drink options as well. Third - great service! Our server checked on us multiple times. He was helpful regarding the menu. He even asked if we were celebrating something special and brought a dessert with a candle! We will definitely be back and I can’t recommend this place more.“

“This was my least favorite visit. The waitress wasn't amazing. The food was really good, but it's usually amazing. I would say it was a lot busier than I'm used to, so I'm sure that is the reason. I've worked in the food and hospitality field for many years and understand that part now what I don't understand is during a busy night the waitress being on her phone chatting it up with a co-worker while I'm there trying to get some more drinksand service. That was really disappointing. I also saw other tables of hers waiting at that moment as well, but I guess when gratuity is automatically included, you don't have to wow the customer. All other visits. I've had great servers this time, and I was not pleased.“

“I don't know why it took me so long to write this review. I came in during brooklyn pride and there were two big boys behind the bar (love it). One of them was showing a bunch of chest hair (rawr). The place was absolutely packed and those two really held it down. I've been back a few times since and it has never disappointed.“

“Walked by this place a hundred times before finally coming in, but glad we did! Came for brunch this morning and the menu is a bit diverse. We had Mexican style molletes (beans and pico de gallo on toast with a fried egg on top) which was declious. And the mushroom and cheese omelette was honestly one of the best omelettes I’ve had. So soft and buttery. Also had a nice cocktail list but we just had coffee today. For a nice sit down brunch was decently priced at less than $30 a person. We will be coming back to try out the drinks next time!“
