“So I really love some of the staff at this location. Very friendly and always a smile. Great face to face customer service! However my coffee/ latte, isn’t always right. Unfortunately as of lately usually not right. I know my coffee, I order it exactly the same, each time, but sadly it’s a rarity it’s correct lately. Consistency should be key. But things happen and i had overlooked that especially being able to relate in the service industry. But it does kinda get annoying at 5 something a latte and it repeatedly is something you can’t drink.They started staying open till 11, GREAT loved that! But it was extremely short lived. It was said business wasn’t productive in the extra open hours, but truth be told, it hadn’t been open to 11 long enough to respectively come to that business decision, As it takes time for people to realize and become accustomed to the new hours. So now unfortunately I can’t stop on the way home like I usually would.What’s even more frustrating and why I chose to write this review is, now they close at 8 again. They don’t have a posted limited menu after a certain time, so I can’t understand why on a Friday night at 7:24pm, they can’t make a latte, and cold or frozen drinks because they are closing soon. And also can’t do grilled cheese for the same reason. ( has happened more than a few times but the specific day and time is most recent)So in conclusion, like I said there are some great people who I have encountered here, but the rest has made me decide to stop way less frequently. And I was a regular every day, sometimes twice a day customer. My hope is that reviews like this don’t “get people in trouble “ that’s not at all my intention. But maybe, hopefully it’s read and most important, improvement can be made from it. I’m still giving 5 stars because again it’s not to get anyone in trouble but hopefully management can use it as a coaching opportunity/tool.“

“Emily is an amazing breath of fresh air whenever we come in. She handles every customer with a personal and friendly smile. The drinks never let me down, especially the Americano.It would be great oif they extend thr hours a few days a week beyond 5pm but otherwise A+Thanks for being in the neighborhood“

“Woah. Just had the Big L. Had to grab something quick before catching a bus so went in with no expectations. Service was great. They ran out of whatever bread they usually use for the sandwich and gave me ciabatta instead. Loved it. Broccoli rabe was a nice touch. Big W for the “Big L”“

“Me and my gf from school have been trying to find a good breakfast/coffee spot in between classes. This was the BEST breakfast sandwich and bagel I've ever had... in my life!!! And that is saying a lot because I moonlight eating/critiquing breakfast!! If you haven't already, eat here!!“

“I've been on working on North Pearl for more than 10 years. Today a coworker was having a "Gryphon." I asked here where she bought it and she said, "Stacks." I had never heard of the espresso bar, but I have seen it. It is a very clean, lovely place. Staff is friendly and the sandwich was DELICIOUS!“

“Stopped here during a bike trip along the Empire State Trail and it was just delightful! The food was delicious (we tried a breakfast sandwich), the coffee was excellent and the service was great. There’s also an adorable shop next door called OK pantry that is a great place to check out too! “I was kinda of ify on the location cus of the amount of negative traffic that brings lower central. To my surprise capo holds a different atmosphere very calm, clean and workers very respectful. The aesthetic of the entrée really surprised me by far I’ve ate out a gazillion times never received a dish so pretty lol. “I was Surprisingly, please to have arrived at city line cafe. The vibe was definitely farmed to the table, and the atmosphere was very comforting. It's a great local mom and pop shop. And I couldn't be more happy with the food it was so fresh, made right there in front of me. I'm very fast as well. “First time here and while I had this place bookmarked, I debated coming. My sister said her friend's friend runs this shop and the friend loves them, so I decided to give them a try after picking up some cheesecake in the area. Service was SO friendly! I had no idea what I wanted to order since there were so many options! The lady who helped me advised me on the most popular shakes, and I ultimately went with brownie since she said it wasn't overly sweet. She was right. It was perfect! As for the tea, again, too many options for me, so I asked her to just make me whatever and surprise me. She made me a pink lady and I was not disappointed at all! As I taking a pic of my drink, the person in line after me asked what I got and ordered it too! Definitely will be returning the next time I'm in town! Total came out to be less than $11 for both drinks! She said the shakes are only $6.50 each. I was so surprised. I was expecting to spend at least $8 on the shake alone!“

“Primrose is the - and I do mean the, most secluded - tiny cafe in Albany. It is not even near the main attractions. Or on Lark Street. It is a one-bar affair with a few cushion seats and a coffee table in the middle of the room. The bar is standing room. It serves canapés, sandwiches, coffee, tea and I think salads (I'm a rugged man, I don't do salmon salad). As the other review says, it's small. But, I find it whimsical. “My girlfriends and I were skeptical about this place cause of the low reviews but we saw so many people going in and out. The coffee menu was good, lots of options. The Neapolitan drink was too sweet for me but that's okay I was warned beforehand. The people working were great and I love their energy. Only reason I'm taking out a star was because they were a bit over the place and forgot to make my friend's smoothie (and someone else's) and then made it wrong but it was a quick fix.“
