“Gorgeous little gem of a store. Their employees are incredibly nice and friendly, and the yuzu egg tart in particular is a creamy delight. I'd love to try the chocolate one if I can ever get there in time, because they rightfully sell out of tarts quickly.“
“Welcome to the local breakfast/lunch spot in Albany’s “midtown neighborhood.” The only place that is consistently open 7days per week (6a weekdays, 7a weekends). Great for meetings, quick bites on your way to work (always easy parking early am) or a place to hang out “central perk/“friends style. Everybody will know your name in no-time.“
“Woah. Just had the Big L. Had to grab something quick before catching a bus so went in with no expectations. Service was great. They ran out of whatever bread they usually use for the sandwich and gave me ciabatta instead. Loved it. Broccoli rabe was a nice touch. Big W for the “Big L”“
“A hidden gem! The chicken soup is hearty & homemade, the fries are perfect- crispy & delicately herbed, & the gyro is amazing! The bread wrap is soft and perfectly grilled, the Tzatziki sauce is creamy & delicious, the vegetables are very fresh & crispy - overall a wonderful treat! Also, the portions are very generous. I returned today & tried the baba ghanoush- out of this world! The creamy smokiness was so delicious- really one of my favorite things I've ever eaten!“
“The iced vanilla latte was very average. A little bit too sweet for my liking as well. However, the service was great and so was the atmosphere! Very bright inside with plenty of seating. I love the bar top to sit at along the windows, so you can watch traffic while relaxing with your cup of joe!“
“Very good coffee and service. Lots of space to sit and work. Clean space - more industrial than cozy. This is not a place to get snacks. They have a few pastries if you really need something, but there is a bahn mi place in the same building for something more substantial. Alias is open until 5, including Saturdays and Sundays, which is appreciated since many places are closed on weekends in that neck of the woods.“
“I was up in Albany visiting my daughter and I just had to find a welcoming place to have coffee. Well, I found it. this place is AMAZING and will go out of my way any day to stop by and relax. Also, just came back from France and their chocolate croissants were as good and even better than in France. You will not be disappointed. Can't say enough about it.“
“This shop is great! Line is long, rainy and cold out, & Asia is taking orders, making drinks - even suggestions for my complicated request - giving time expectations, & serving up with professional friendliness. It’s good coffee, & fantastic work ethic!“
“RUN!!!!! Don’t walk here! Food was absolutely AMAZING!!! Very generous portions!! First time trying this spot and I will forever give them my business!! The food was stellar and the service was top notch!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!! The Hungry Bowl was HUGE and the flavor deff matched it!! The breakfast sammie was DELISH, the home fries were crispy and seasoned so well! Not pictured was the chicken and waffles which was perfect!!! Again RUN DONT WALK!!!!!“
“Cute little shop with a counter only inside and 2 small tables outside. Enjoyed a 10 oz latte with oat milk for $4.59 that was strong, a little bitter but tasty. Barista was pleasant and efficient but didn't make eye contact (which would have earned this review 5 stars).“
“I have wanted to try the Troy location but it's always packed so it was nice to jump in here. I got a specialty latte-pistachio orange blossom.. So delicious but so sweet. If I had it again I'd ask for half the syrup. Could be because I also got Oatmilk which is sweet. Pricey drink--over $8. I don't think this would be an every day stop but I did enjoy it, staff was lovely and it's a great space.“
“Food and coffee tasted good. Although order was wrong, and service was weird. Not acknowledged at all, stood waiting to take my order until someone else came in and tried to go in front and I just mentioned I hadn't ordered yet...strange. Cute coffee shop though, so would give another shot.“
“Stopped in for lunch and was very impressed. The lunch menu was a good deal, I got the stir fry with shrimp and it was delicious, perfect portion too. The service I received was very friendly and accommodating, and I really liked the ambiance. It's in an A frame building with a cute bar and separate dining area. Lunch specials a plenty, drink specials, daily specials...I love a place that offers a value and doesn't skimp on the details.“
“miss the coffee club from many years ago. it was amazing and educational at first, then another person within the coffee club got on a "power trip, and ruined the entire thing". when the coffee club first started it was an amazing way to have a bite to eat, gather with friends, learn about different coffee's and roasts... once the other person took over, it was Mandatory to reserve a spot, and then this individual raised the cost to almost double the cost, with a very limited menu, which this individual revamped the menu to suit their needs ... I get it , there are food allergies, and may be vegetarian or gluten free foods.. their was no longer any input from anyone else in the coffee club... and then the portions and coffee and teas were limited.... I was extremely disappointed.... it only one individual to ruin a great night out with friends“
“By 830-900am it's very common they are out of all but 2 or more bagel types. 2 things a bagel/coffee joint shouldn't run low on is coffee and bagels. Place has been mismanaged for years and post pandemic it's even worse. Place wouldn't survive without its proximity to UAlbany“
“So glad I made the stop in here!! The Chai latte was made from Steeped Chai tea bags vs and the pre-mix which has a lot of sugar and the breakfast crepe was so delicious and big portion, really fresh ingredients. Don’t pass by here without stopping in. Thank you Olivia!!“
“I was Surprisingly, please to have arrived at city line cafe. The vibe was definitely farmed to the table, and the atmosphere was very comforting. It's a great local mom and pop shop. And I couldn't be more happy with the food it was so fresh, made right there in front of me. I'm very fast as well. The 2 workers were very pleasant and nice. 100% a must stop Morning breakfast place.“
“Today, I visited my lovely place, Starbucks. One of the staff members took my order through the drive-thru. He was a really nice person. I not only received my coffee but also a smile on my face. I really forgot about my problems. I truly appreciate his gentless, politeness, and for making my day brighter.“
“The food is not starbucks' best feature. The egg white feta wrap is definitely frozen and microwaved, making parts of the wrap not edible. The espresso is the smoothest of all the chain coffee joints. It's always a delicious, delightful beverage. The service is ALWAYS GREAT.“
“The ambiance and food is awesome! I’m visiting from another country, and I came in here with a friend to get a coffee, but we ended up ordering much more than that. Definitely recommend to stop in and give it a try. If I lived here I’d be here everyday to work, or bring people/friends in.“
“first time visiting. the food was outstanding. Had the Vermont turkey sandwich and the Rachel. Debby the cashier was great. So helpful and patience with us. she made us feel so welcome. we will be back. Not just because of the great food. But also because of Debby.“
“My girlfriends and I were skeptical about this place cause of the low reviews but we saw so many people going in and out. The coffee menu was good, lots of options. The Neapolitan drink was too sweet for me but that's okay I was warned beforehand. The people working were great and I love their energy. Only reason I'm taking out a star was because they were a bit over the place and forgot to make my friend's smoothie (and someone else's) and then made it wrong but it was a quick fix.“
“Starbucks products always good. Customer Service depending on the location but TARGET location is not bad at all and i would say better than in Colonie Center, Book's store unfortunately.Parking: Snow plowing is better than many municipalities maitence departmentsKid-friendliness: High Chair offersWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Primrose is the - and I do mean the, most secluded - tiny cafe in Albany. It is not even near the main attractions. Or on Lark Street. It is a one-bar affair with a few cushion seats and a coffee table in the middle of the room. The bar is standing room. It serves canapés, sandwiches, coffee, tea and I think salads (I'm a rugged man, I don't do salmon salad). As the other review says, it's small. But, I find it whimsical. Inside a major business skyrise, it is on the ground floor. There were magazines (new) to read and comfy seats. In my opinion, this is a great date spot. Secluded, quiet, friendly, warm, bright, safe.Rebel review: 5“
“Coffee was excellent! French toast was good, but I prefer Texas toast. I can’t hold that against them tho as that is a personal preference thing and varies person to person. The only knock I had against this place is the home fries. They’re like mashed potatoes, that are then grilled on a flat top grill. WEIRD and bland. Very under seasoned“
“This Starbucks location is very clean and has a very nice interior. The tables and chairs were perfect for catching up on some work while enjoying some coffee. I ordered my drink on the app when I arrived, and it did take them about 20mins to prepare my drink. It’s a busy location, so they seemed to have very long wait times. I also didn’t like how cold the lobby was getting every time someone walked in or out. It’s winter in upstate ny, but there was no heating system fixing that issue.“
“Staff were nice and accommodating for my dietary restrictions and there are plenty of flavors. I got cookie dough flavor and it tastes like drinking a cookie but still low in calories/dense in nutrition. Prices are reasonable and they have a wide selection of other items such as energy teas.“
“I was in the store a couple days ago on my way into Huck Finn’s to get a new carpet, and had a very pleasant experience with the barista - I believe her name was Kat/Cat - very kind, warm, excellent costumer service, and the coffee was pretty good too. It was such a pleasant and sincere interaction that I felt compelled to leave this. would/will definitely return in the future“
“Went here with a couple friends for coffee/tea and pastries. My almond milk cappuccino was delicious and their almond croissant are on the small side but still very good. The vibe at this location is bright but very industrial and a bit cold. They've thrown in a few plants but overall could use some more comfortable seating. I'd come back for the coffee, but only to go next time.“
“You GUYS. I've been gluten free for 10 years now. These are HANDS DOWN the BEST gluten free donuts I have ever had the pleasure of eating. If you're gluten free and haven't tried these yet, You've been sleeping on them! Go get some now!!“
