Server was friendly and food came out quickly, but half the wings were dried out like they'd cooked too long, and were more like a medium than the spicy hot I'd been expecting. Will give it another shot again in hopes of this just being a one-off.“
“Honestly, I don't know anything about the current Papa Joe's -- I have lived in New York City for 45 years and haven't even visited Buffalo in 13 years --- but Papa Joe's is important to me because it once belonged to my grandfather, who established a bar there. I don't know exactly when it was established, but it was already in operation in 1910 and he owned it through Prohibition, and passed away in 1935. My father was actually born upstairs - over 100 years ago! The bar has been in operation, under various ownership, for more than 100 years!! That's something, I think! I grew up on Randolph Ave.“
“When we first arrived we were promptly given a table and our server immediately came and introduced herself as Matti. After taking our drink order I went back to the front and asked if we could be seated at a booth….no problem. We were re-seated in a minute.Matti saw what was going on and promptly brought our drinks over to the new booth.We ordered an appetizer and mains and settled in, amazed at the size of this establishment. It’s divided into 3 different large areas on multiple floors.Our appetizer was bought over to our table and it was delicious. After a short delay I noticed Matti speaking to a very large gentleman with a concerned look on her face.Within seconds the gentleman was at our table introducing himself as the general manager apologizing for the delay in our mains coming to our table.For such a large place it was so amazing they make sure you have and excellent experience. “Let's face it. You don't go to Sportsmen's Tavern for the food -- it's all about the music! This is an outstanding music venue which continues to spread through the community. But you may be surprised to learn the food is very good! I'm not sure if the kitchen is always open but be sure to order food when at Sportsmen's for the full experience.“

My first time was a major letdown, I did the Double Dip with Cajun and Honey Mustard, the wings were so overcooked that all I tasted was other leftover food from the char marks. I wanted to give them another try because I always feel like these types of bars have mediocre food during the days and then they step up at night when the rush comes in so I went in again on a wknd night and ordered the Cajun-Medium Double Dipped. Once again, I ran into 3-4 of the wings extremely overcooked but the other ones were 100% spot-on, flavor was killer and the chicken was on point. Only if I could get a full order of decently cooked wings then my review would be higher. Also docking a bit of a point because I was told their top shelf whiskey was Seagrams 7... I mean, I get its a local bar but really?Positives were that the bartenders were all super friendly and were flying around the bar. There was a large wait for bigger groups to get tables but that is expected on a Friday night in a smaller location like this. Parking lot was a zoo with people trying to find spots. Ample televisions on to watch the game and overall seems like a fun local spot.All in all, Id recommend stopping in if you are in the area. The staff was great, I actually parked in the lot next door and it turns out the mosque there has late night services and double parks so I got blocked in. The bartender was super hospitable and let me chill without feeling bad I wasn't buying more. He offered water and apologized he didn't have more entertainment. If you visit my only recommendation is don't park next-door, I was in a far corner with plenty of open spaces in the Walgreens parking that was attached. There are also no signs prohibiting parking.Parking: Don't park near the mosque next-door they will block you in.“

“We ordered catering for our planning event at work and it was not only delicious but Will and Jay at Union Pub went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. We ordered an assortment of wraps and they even catered to our vegetarian needs with a fantastic hummus option. We had one of the best Greek salads and chips per person. They over provided the condiments, dressing, toppings like onions and banana pepper too! There was absolutely no shortage of food and everyone loved it.
