The drinks were delicious, and we started with the spinach salad and oysters. Who knew a spinach salad could be so incredible? I’m still thinking about it. The combination of bacon egg yolk, confit mushroom, fried shallots, charred onion vinaigrette, tomato powder, and croutons made every single bite unforgettable. For my entrée, I had the flat iron, and it was cooked to perfection. The gorgonzola brûlée, blue cheese cavatelli, rainbow carrots, and pesto complemented the dish beautifully without making it feel heavy at all. The meat practically melted into the cheese, creating a richness and tenderness that was absolute bliss. My husband had the olive oil poached halibut with lentil stew, root vegetables, vadouvan, and ricotta salad. I was honestly surprised he chose the fish with so many incredible options on the menu, but truly, halibut has never tasted so good. Every element of the dish worked together perfectly. The moody, beautiful décor makes you feel like you’ve stepped out of Syracuse and into NYC or somewhere far beyond Central New York. We are lucky to have a place like this locally. The attention to detail, the service, and every single touch throughout the evening felt intentional and elevated. On our way out, we chatted with Rob, and what stood out most was seeing how he made time to genuinely welcome every guest coming in and personally say goodbye to people leaving. The care and hospitality felt authentic, and it added so much to an already exceptional experience. A truly memorable anniversary dinner, and we absolutely cannot wait to go back.“

“Restaurant in the lobby of the hotel made on convenient to get dinner after a long day. There is also a bar. The bartender/waitress was a rockstar. She was the only one serving and bartending to a very full restaurant on a Saturday night. The food was very good as well. We had the bolognese and cheeseburger.“

Wanted a Roast Beef and Pastemi sub, and a Pepperoni Sub. the gentleman said he didn't have any Pepperoni or Pastemi, pointed out a whole unwrapped Pastemi, he said "Oh Ok, we got some" We ordered my husband's Sub the Roast Beef/Pastemi Sub, while I was trying to figure my sandwich because i don't really eat Lunch Meat But the weird thing was, upon getting the Roast Beef, he took it out of the case, went the slice it and suddenly take it off the slicer and throw the whole piece of meat in the trash can. I said, "OK, we'll just have all Pastemi on that Sub. I guess I'm good being I don't eat Lunchmeat other than Pepperoni. My husband said the Sub was Good, It was definitely a Great Price, just hoping the meat was good, not out dated, i guess we'll soon find out. Friendly Service“

“I’ve been a loyal customer of Independent for several years, ordering for both parties and the occasional pizza night. I’ve tried many other places in the area, but nothing compares. The team consistently goes above and beyond, especially when I call to pre-order before opening hours, they always make it work. The pizza is, without a doubt, some of the best in the area. Prices are fair and reasonable, unlike many other places, and the staff and delivery drivers are always friendly and professional. I highly recommend them and will continue to be a regular customer.“

“After several years of having no Thai restaurant to call our own, I think we finally found our place. The food was amazing, the service was prompt and very friendly and engaging. I was warned when I ordered the hot (their spice levels are mild, medium, hot, and Thai hot, and I'm not doing Thai hot ever again, IYKYK). We had a great conversation with our server about the spice level and the food quality. I told her I came here for the heat and to let me have it. There's just something about Thai spice that compliments the dishes so well, it's why I love Thai cuisine so much when done right. Can I just tell you how happy this food made us? When we lost our local Thai place, it was like there was a death in the family. This was like seeing an old friend again. I ordered panang curry with chicken and Julie ordered a mango cashew stir fry. Wow. Both dishes were amazing. The flavors were so pronounced, the veggies were so fresh. It hit all the buttons. And just like the place we used to frequent, the heat was perfect. It was about 8 star heat for those of you who frequented Thai rose. I told my server when she brought it out I was quite excited to be able the see the heat in my dish with all the red speckles in it. We can't wait to return and explore the rest of the menu, very highly recommended.“
